Hi Amber, join in whenever you feel like it. It's a good group for a chat and a vent at time. We do actually try to exercise and diet, but this thread is not always about that. It gets mentioned.
Hi to all, just don't have the time at the moment to post much as I probably need to.
The company decided to put the project team up on their social forum so I had to drop in an have my photo taken. Here is the result.
Not a bad as the last ones I had taken. Hair reminds me of Dennis the Menace but hey.
Okay outa here, back to telling my boss where and what I was hired for. She don't like that - too bad.

I LOVE it Joy - you look FABULOUS!!!!!! The color, the cut, everything is different than what I was used to. You look very cute! - I see they hid the broomstick well
Welcome Amber - we always have room for another one on the wagon. Glad to have you.
Thanks Annie - I dunno - I think it would be easier trying to herd cats! I am almost happy to see August roll around where my excuse will be that I can't participate because I can't see.
Shad
I love the hair. I agree with Happy, you look fabulous.
Happy
I agree with Annie and think that you are the new manager of the Thrift Store. Seems like you are doing more than you did in the past.
Annie
Thanks for your moral support. I feel a lot better today. If my job consisted of the water plant goings on I could handle that but not these irate customers. They just release their stress on whoever answers the phone. UGH. That day it was me.
Amber
Welcome to our group.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to take back the fitbit since I found the other one. Like it a lot better but it doesn't clear all the way on the calories burned. Guess I need to log my food and make it even with that amount and see if it will clear itself the. I also talk to the insurance person tomorrow. In the afternoon I'm going to Jonesboro to spend some time with my friend. She's to have a endoscopy and possible throat surgery on Friday and I'll be with her for that too. Her step daughter is supposed to be there also. I sincerely hope she is. I don't do well with this type of thing. I have to work on Sunday and I'm praying that a surgery will not be necessary. My aunt had throat surgery and she didn't do very well. But she is 90. I told her that I can not stay with her.
My sister and her DH are enjoying their cruise on the Rhine river. They started in Amsterdam and will end up in Switzerland. They've been in Germany the past couple of days. Sure would like to go there one day.
Hi Everyone. I went back into the office yesterday and today I have the email down to 60 emails unread (that could change by morning).
I have all the old emails read and dealt with or will after I meet with my bosses to figure out which meeting they want to go to, when they are tripled booked. I have resolved the ones I could, but sometimes they just have to make choices.
Welcome to Amberkkski. This is a great group of ladies. I think I have been here with them for about 2 years.
Shad: What a pretty lady you are!
Happy: Where do you get all that energy from? I agree that you are the new manager at the Thrift Store!
Ceejay: Great job on being down 8 lbs! Did you get the fit bit returned? I used to work a job years ago where I handled warranty claims. I did it for a year....and that was 11 months too long! People can be very mean. I learned to just say nothing when they were ranting and raving. They would say "are you still there?" I would say, "yes, I am still here. I wanted to be sure that I heard everything you wanted to say so that we could start working together to solve this issue". That would usually quiet them down a bit.
Laura: That picture/painting is very nice! You got a great deal!! I'm sorry to hear that you have a summer cold. My DH had one as well and I started with the throat thing Monday evening. I decided to have the doctor check me out. She said it was a cold and I had pharyngitis and that I needed a z-pack for that. I started that yesterday and I came home and went to bed right after work. I'm feeling much better today.
Annie: I am glad that the grandbabies are feeling better. I enjoyed the American Sniper movie too..and yes, I was sad at the end.
As for the KI dates, they are open every Saturday in October from 11-1 a.m. I can't do Oct 24 but all the rest are open.
They are also open Sept 5 and Sept 26. Dee, Laura, Annie (and anyone else who wants to join) what do you think about the dates? Look at calendars and let's decide.
Michelle: I'm glad to hear that you found a workout that doesn't bother your arm. I am proud of you for admitting about the sugar. When something doesn't stay hidden, then it can be dealt with.
Hi to Dee and Terra! I need to end now and pay some bills and then eat dinner and get things cleaned up.
My brother and I postponed going to momma and daddy's grave site, it was raining too hard and wouldn't be able to do much for their site, so we are going to try to go next week.
Last night was not much, we watched a movie and went to bed with the rain. Such a peaceful feeling. Sassy loves it too! Oh wait I did two loads of laundry, folded, hung and put away. Towels are always easy, it is the dress clothes that consume too much time. All laundry done until tonight, amazing how that empty laundry basket fills up so quickly. Stopped by Sam's house, the kiddos were in full form. Sis took Royce for his 15 mo check up. His lungs were much clearer and he is doing well. Amen for both of them.
SHADDIE...you are absolutely gorgeous. Love the hair and color. Good that the horns are well covered up. lol Safe travels.
AMBER....welcome to the Worldly Chicks, yes we welcome all who can stand to put up with us. We do talk of diet, healthy eating and exercise when we manage to hang tight with it. We also babble about many things unrelated. Sometimes even vent. Couldn't ask for a better bunch of girls.
HAPPY...thank you for the darling bd card, it really brightened my busy, hectic day. Yes, you can tell the shop you cannot see therefore you cannot help at the Thrift store in August. Oh didn't they tell you, they are installing a braille cash register. haha
SUSIE QUZIE...I am available all weekends in October except the 17th & 18th, Jacob's 4th bd party will surely be that weekend since his bd is the 19th. I wouldn't miss that for the world, and it is going to be a kid's bowling party, how cute. Should get a chuckle out of that. Bummer on the cold for DH and you. Feel better sweet sister.
CEEG...too bad you cannot mute your phone aat work from the other end so you cannot hear the ranting. lol. You are such a good person to go with your friend to her procedure and possible surgery. Hugs
LAURA...certainly hope you are feeling a bit better by now. Took me almost 3 weeks to get through this last summer cold. Still have a bit of lingering crud in my throat on occasion.
CHELLE...walk away from the sweets, do not sabatoge yourself. Don't make me come there and use MELLIE's rolling pin on you. Hugs for strength and willpower dear sister.
Hello to the rest of ya's. Make it a great day/night. Hugs all.
Quick post from the train. It was only 5 min. & i got a seat, so I'm happy.
Annie – That artist's paintings tend to be subdued. The cold is running its course.
Susie – Glad you feel better. My doc won't give antibiotics for a virus... So far only Oct. 24 is bad for me.

Pulling into the station. I'll be back later.
Susie
I will try that idea next time I have an irate customer. but my co-worker suggested something too that I will try. I can usually get them to calm down.
Annie
Don't blame you for postponing the outing with your brother to the grave site. Think this whole week end is going to be a complete wash out.
-------
Told my co-worker that she had to do the paper work. We have a pump that shows it constantly counting water but it is a false reading. The guys have looked at it but have not fixed it yet. And told her that this is part of her new responsibility when I leave.
This morning is getting away from me.
Happy - Wow, hope the customer appreciation days get organized. You need to whip that place into shape! Boo on the volunteers who won't just do what needs to be done for the benefit of the shop and the HS. Glad you like your hair!
Hi Amber. Welcome!
Shad - What a great picture. You look mahvelous (as Billy Crystal would say).
Ceejay - Good luck to your friend with the endoscopy and poss. surgery. Nice of you to accompany her. Really nice vacay for your sis and BIL. Is this the one that visited you a couple weeks ago? Must be tough dealing with customers who are unhappy, especially if their electricity (or water??) has been shut off!!
Annie - Awww, yeh, I'd like to foster doggies in the commune.
Hellos to the rest of you.

I got a decent amount done today. That'll make next week easier.
I have a vacation day tomorrow. First thing is an appointment with the asthma/allergy doctor. I was supposed to have a skin test (where they poke you with a bunch of stuff and see what causes a reaction (makes your skin itch, swell and turn red - so fun!). I will, however, probably have to take a pass on that because I wasn't supposed to use any OTC allergy meds the week before. However, with this cold, I took cold meds that also have antihistamines in them, so, oh darn, maybe next time. I already know I'm allergist to everything, so it's not critical. I guess they just want to do that every once in a while for fun (theirs, not mine).
In the afternoon is a vet appointment for Coal - adequan injection, nail trim, etc.
Other than that, it's supposed to be a nice day for weather so maybe I can get out in the yard for some weeding. Or get over to the laundromat to do the comforter/rugs.
Tonight bf and I are meeting his mom for half price burger night.
That's about it for me. Have a great Friday and a great weekend everyone.
Michelle ~ That's great that you ordered Valerie's dvd, I ordered my copy from Amazon too.
Laura ~ Yeah, I wish I could of been around when One Day At A Time was on the air, It seems like a really nice show. I've seen a couple of Valerie's made for t.v movies.
Annie ~ He works at ILRC (What I call my school)

Amber ~ Welcome, Sure you can join in, We love it when new people join the thread
Shad ~ Great photo, Its always nice to put a name with a face

Last night Sis and I went for a pedicure. We made appts, so we got right in. 45 minutes in and out. Nice shade of medium pink. Feet are happy!
Not much going on this weekend. C asked if we could go see a movie for Father's day. Of course we can. His girls do NOTHING for him, don't even send a card and MIGHT text him. Both of my kids make up for it tho. Phone calls and cards to boot! So I will treat him to lunch and a movie after church.
Tomorrow I am going to visit a dear friend of mine that I worked with at Humana. She is the one that made me the beautiful quilt for my birthday one year. Her bladder cancer has return and also has spots on her lungs, liver, pelvic area and some bones. Not sounding good. She started chemo this past Monday, 3 weeks on one week off, repeat. It is not looking good so any prayers you can send up for dear Nell would be appreciated.
DEE...oh have so much fun with the g-babes and camping. I am not much of a camper and prefer a hotel to camping.
TERRA...what does IRLC stand for??
LAURA...I had those allergy tests when I was about 5. Several on each arm and a truck load on my back. Was allergic to most everything. Grew out of some, but not all. Maybe a doggie-kitty rescue at the commune. What a dream if we could actually make the commune happen.
CEEG...good for you making the co-worker do the paperwork. I am so proud of you standing up for yourself more often than not. What a break through for you.
Hello to everyone...make it a great Friday/night...and weekend, most likely won't get back in here, but who knows.
Annie ~ ILRC stands for Independent Living Resource Center

Hello Everyone,
Good Morning, Its 8:08 here right now. I've been wake since 6 a.m. Today I need to take a shower and later on today I need to get ready to go to Walmart and go to DA4A's yearly picnic. I'm getting caught up on my shows and then I'm gonna start working out. I cant believe there is just one more week of June and then its July, June went by really fast. Oh I forgot to mention We are getting new windows put in, They are gonna start next month and it only takes a day to install them all. I cant wait to see them when they are installed. Its gonna be expensive but hopefully it will be worth it in the end cause our cooling and heating bills will go down, We hope they do anyway. I hope everyone has a great Friday.
