Waiting on the PM pill to kick in. Got into it with Chris (Samantha's) bf via text messages...really nothing bad, just told him to be sure to make her feel special with a card or store bought flowers. He basically to me "mind my own" was the text...lil ungreatful twit. I text back, "she is my own". Have not heard anything back since 9 pm. If I could tell you all the story, you would understand why I did that...in my mind, I am right. Just go with that. Sam will probably give me h*ll about doing that but I am tired of hearing her hurt, sad and tears over his stupidity. Rant over.

Sass and I are going to be here shortly. Hopefully she won't smother C with love and wake him...unlikely. C brought me home a dozen red roses and a beautiful card for V day tomorrow. Made me cry. He is such a sweetheart. He makes me feel so special and wonderful.

MELLIE...lock the doors and put out the sign...you are on spring break! Actually it is only 34 days till spring!!!

Got our hotel booked for Destin, Florida. We leave April 20th come back on the 27th. It is a pet friendly hotel but we have not yet decided to take Miss Sass or not. If not, she will stay with Samantha. Either way SHE will be on vacation. I am sure to miss her if we leave her behind. Still thinking on it.

Our move at work will be the evening of Feb 21, start in our new suite on Friday, 22nd. I will be glad when this thing is over.

C and I are going to dinner Saturday night for our valentines dinner. Fujiyama Steakhouse of Japan. Hibachi grilled right before our eyes...YUM.

Michelle - Hope to hear you got a restful night's sleep last night. I didn't sleep as soundly as I wished. I think I have to turn the number down on my sleep number bed - it might be too firm for me right now. Or I just need to get my arse to the gym and get a good workout.

But apparently not for C - you've got a sweetie there! :love: Wow, moving day is coming up quick - one week! And then you'll be counting down to your vacay!! When does the 2nd office move happen? Mel - Sorry work wasn't all that great yesterday. :crossed: today is better. Yeh, during the long breaks between the tv seasons you totally lose track of what season you were on...Sometimes it seems easier to wait until the series ends and just watch it on dvd. Nothing much to report here. I got out at lunch yesterday and picked up some chocolated dipped strawberries for bf. I had them in the fridge downstairs last night and snuck them up to the upstairs fridge this morning with his card before I left for work.

Last night I made some new labels for my hanging files as I watched tv. I'd started off with nice typed (on a typewriter, that's how long ago!!) inserts years and years ago, and then over time they were crossed out and written over or written on the back, etc. until they became pretty unsightly. They're looking better now thanks to my labelmaker. But of course there are files I don't think I need anymore...no new label for them until I go through the files and decide to keep or toss. Quite a ways to go, but I'll get there.

That's about it for me, so back to work. Cheers!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY I'm with Michelle my heart is filled with love towards all. Exception maybe a boss at work. That too will pass.

Have a doctor's appointment this afternoon at 1.45. I'm mentioning an episode that happened at work yesterday to the doctor to see what he recommends. In my opinion my health is not worth staying in this job but I would like to continue if at all possible till I'm 65. We'll see.

Not much is going on here. Got a good night's sleep and finally slept laying down instead of sitting up. Yep made up my mind I'm taking Easter week end off this year. Gong to visit with my sis in Branson/Springfield.

Annie - Wow, 5 years in an office space that's already too small to meet your needs...sheesh!

Ceejay - No, the typewriter is long gone, but that's how long ago my original file tab inserts were created - back when typewriters were still pretty much the norm - late 80's. :faint: I hope something in your work environment isn't making you sick! Nice to look forward to time off at Easter. I was checking out the calendar yesterday for vacation days, but the only plans I have for the near future are doctor appts. Bleh.

Annie - I think you were right to "encourage" Chris to do something nice for Samantha. So nice of C to give you roses! He's such a great guy! What a great vacation you have to look forward to in April! As much as you'll miss Sassy if you leave her with Samantha, it will give you more freedom to explore and go to places that aren't "dog-friendly". Unless you can look into doggy day care while you're there.

Ceejay - So nice that you have a fun vacation to look forward to as well. The only "vacation" I'm thinking about is when I fly out to CA to interview for positions (sometime after mid-April).

Laura - I used a "sleep" CD last night that had soothing music and nature sounds. It took about 1/2 hour to fall asleep. But it did help me sleep more deeply. I woke up at around 3, and played the CD again and was able to sleep until the alarm went off at 5. :cloud9:

Mel - I hope you have a good day today and tomorrow to make up for the snotty attitudes yesterday.

Thanks for all the nice compliments about the current love of my life (Santa, of course!).

BTW, I'm leaving work early tomorrow...it's the court date for the divorce. I'm okay about it. Mixed emotions sure...but overall...I'm accepting what happened, and really looking forward to my future! :)
