Morning all. Working through all the e-mail.
Michelle - Hope the physical doesn't take the full two hours! Yeh, I think it's crazy for people to still want to light fireworks in these drought conditions - are these strangers because I can't imagine people wanting to put their own or their neighbor's property in danger. Glad dh got your brakes fixed, and felt well enough to do that. Hope he's feeling better and better!! We don't seem to be getting much rain here at all, though it did pour for a few minutes while we were at lunch on Thursday. Otherwise, nothing since then. It seems these systems blow through and leave nothing. At my sister's yesterday, we decided that a lot of the moisture just doesn't make it to the ground - dries up before that. Happy - Sometimes it's such a challenge finding good produce. I won't buy it at our two major grocery chains - too expensive. I was bringing a simple green salad to my sister & BIL's yesterday and though it was due to close in a half hour, I took a chance on the farmers market. They were still bustling, not closing up shop yet (as I've experienced before) and I got some nice veggies and some more peaches. But...the peaches will have to be eaten quickly!! Not to mention the bananas and canteloupe that are very ripe. Good thing doggy isn't too picky about overripe fruit, hahaha. Shad - Congratulations on your granddaughter. :) Sophia is such a pretty name. Thank you for posting the photo - what a bundle of joy. :bb: Loved your family update - and the plaque quote re family/friends, lol. Mel - Gosh, so horrible what the heat has done to the seniors. I'm truly sympathetic and don't mean to sound dense, but don't they have AC in their apts? Poor Richie - I feel so sorry for people doing physical labor out in this heat. I saw an ad for a "holiday" movie on Hallmark. Bet you're looking forward to the marathon. I dvr'd and watched several of those Good Witch movies last weekend so I've had my fill of Hallmark for a while, lol. Annie - Well, I guess you've gotten accustomed to your sleep patterns or lack thereof and seem to cope. Sure wish you got more hours though, and I certainly understand not wanting to stay in bed when sleep won't come. Much rather get up and read a book or watch tv and hopefully doze off. When I'm sleep deprived for more than a day or two, I end up cranky and usually wind up sick... Hope the break in the weather comes soon for you and you're back to spending time outdoors. We were out on the deck at my sis/BIL's yesterday and it was lovely but windy and of course I had the watery irritated eyes to show for it afterwards. The Chicago news had stories of two instances of babies left in the cars in Indy - one fatality and one that had a seizure. What are people thinking leaving a kid in the car while shopping. Hellos to Ellen and Patty! === As I already mentioned in personals, bf & I were at my sister & BiL's place for a cookout. It was very nice sitting out on their deck. For dinner, we had steak and none of them were "small" (i.e. normal-sized) and I ate the whole thing (to be courteous) and was very full after that. And the steak wasn't that great even though BIL had gone to their trusted meat market for it. It was sirloin and very lean and therefore not all that flavorful, and it hadn't been marinated or seasoned before going on the grill. Bf and I didn't say anything of course until we were on our way home, but we both have come to enjoy a nice fatty/well-marbled ribeye. My SIL and her sis brought dessert - a sampling of individual fancy pastries. Nice to try a little taste of a couple different ones. I walked doggy after we got home - since the sun was low and it wasn't too hot I took him for one of his normal-length walks, but maybe that was too much - he was panting for quite a while afterwards. I think it was because the house was stuffy. We turned on the furnace fan to bring some of the slightly cooler air from outside, as well as another fan. That's about it for me. Here's Monday and a full workweek ahead. Boo. The admin isn't here yet and I think she must have called in sick and the boss hasn't passed along this info yet. Pretty nervy of the admin (IMO) since her sick days seem to often fall before and after trips she takes and I think she uses them for prep or recovery time. This trip was an out of town wedding... Oh well, can't say I haven't taken a sick day when I'm not truly sick, so I should just shut my yap. Okay, back to Mt. E-mail. |
Morning all,
Yesterday we went out to look at some walking trails. Stopped at a ranger station where the lady there was super helpful and gave us some good brochures and maps. We went over to one of the trails and walked it just a tiny bit to figure out how close it was to the river but had to turn back as the bugs were horrid. Looks like a great trail but it is very rustic and there are ticks in the grasses and lots of bugs so you have to dress for it. We hope to go back one day this week. After that we planned on meeting up with the cousins for a drink and a bite to eat. We were early so DH wanted to try out this other bar he had been to with the cousin when they went ice fishing. Turns out the food was blah (DH was thinking afterwards that maybe they only had a drink there and did not sample the food  ) but... we are open to trying different places knowing some will be hits and some misses. Should have ate at the place the cousins picked - much better food. Next time. And it's across the road from this huge beautiful lake - a gorgeous view from the porch - only problem is that's where the smokers sit. On the way to the bar we started seeing some dark clouds appear. There was a 10 percent chance predicted on the weather site. Didn't take long before we saw lightning and by the time we got back to our town it was pouring so hard you could barely see through the windshield. People were running in the streets totally soaked as I'm sure it caught alot by surprise. We were also AMAZED at the mass exodus of cars going in the opposite direction of us headed to the highways and back to the cities as the vacationers packed up and left town. With all the lakes and cabins by the lakes you sort of forget just how many people rolled into here for the holiday weekend. We smiled and waved buh bye to all of them  :D a few hours later on the way back home we stopped at the gas station for some milk and it was back to our usual ghost town at 8pm at night :D :D :D :D - I sure do like animals more than people. ;) We were going to go for a hike this morning but DH didn't want to get out of bed I suppose. Just as well as we must have gotten some rain and cool weather overnight. Everything was quite damp and dewy this morning which would have made for a rather wet and buggy walk. Maybe tomorrow. Just as well I have laundry and house cleaning to do and tomorrow is trash day so I have to go through the refrigerators and check the produce. Oh and I picked my first 2 grape tomatoes off the vine yesterday  I probably should have let them get a little more red but I was soooo excited and eagerly awaiting those luscious tomatoes. They smell wonderful and tasted divine. Shad - Sophia is a very good looking newborn. I guess if they don't have to go through the trauma of birth through the canal they are not so red and fresh squeezed looking  I'm sure she is adorable - will be just the right size when you get to see her next month. Congrats to the family. Michelle - I remember one company physical I had to take that was in a dark clinic in a not so great part of town. The doctor was an old guy who was quite creepy. Went through the usual health and drug use questions, blood draw, pee in a cup. Then he told me I had to remove my top and bra for a breast exam :yikes: I said WHAT?? No way jack! This is NOT a female exam. He insisted and no way was I having any of that :rollpin: Told him if that was a requirement then he and the company could stick their job. I walked out of there totally p.o.'d - and this was for one of the city's largest employers. When I went back to meet with Human Resources, I indignantly reported what happened. In true H.R. form the person showed no reaction whatsoever but I did notice that a person who hired on about a month after me went to a totally different clinic associated with one of the many downtown hospitals. I'm sure you will not have the same experience with your exam  Because a company's hands are tied with so much they legally can't ask or do, I'm surprised that they don't do anything more than ask about substance abuse and make you pee in a cup since drug use is about the only thing they can refuse to hire for. That would make the exam 7 minutes long  Are you going to be working for the hospital system with the funky name that no one can pronounce unless they heard it before??? If so - that's where my brother went for his cancer treatment. A very good place I hear. Mel - not only a movie marathon but a movie marathon on your favorite subject??? :yay: Does it get any better? I guess you can put on your sunglasses and flip flops  get yourself a nice smoothie, tilt your chair back :beach: and enjoy the holiday in the same warm tropical way that Shad experiences it. Hope you have some good stuff on the agenda. I'm kind of hungry so I think I'll go make myself something to eat. Hello the the rest of the chicks - will catch up with you when you post later. |
Laura - you were typing over my head :D The place I used to work at - my boss in particular was very keen to give you the stink eye - and often deny - if you tried to pad your vacation or holiday with sick days. If you were sick you'd better come in the next day looking like death warmed over. I agree with the mental health/ not so sick days we all occasionally sneak in, but it's different when there's a pattern established. That's unfortunate about the steak but like you, I have learned that you have to have a bit of fat in the steak to give it flavor - too lean is not good. Same for burgers - I would make them with ground sirloin and they would be dry and tough. Better to eat a small portion of something that tastes really good. Didn't you have some produce markets out your way? I heard that you got some storm clouds passing your way but nothing much in the way of actual moisture. Sometimes I think when the air gets so dry for extended periods, it does suck the moisture out before it hits the ground. On the other hand I suppose the mosquitoes have to be minimal this year. :D

Popping in to say hello. Getting excited about my trip Friday.
Shad Your grand daughter is beautiful. |
HELLOOOOOoooooooo shouting up from under this pile of work in my office. Can you hear me??? This isn't even the busy time of year for us either. We just have our small business salesgal going overboard on selling, which is great, but since I am on the back side of her job, it makes me coo coo too!...
C and I did not do anything real constructive yesterday. I did get the laundry done and put away, dishwasher unloaded and reloaded, made the bed and fixed dinner, that was about it. We didn't even go outside or go anywhere. We watched 3 Doris Day/Rock Hudson movies we had on DVD. Layed around and yawned, of course that was after Sissy & Chris came a picked up lil man around 1 pm. We had a great time with him. SHADDIE...lill Sophia is just adorable. Lil man certainly approves and wants to know if she wants to go out for a bottle? haha Glad the work is coming to and end soon and you will get to see the wee one. Cheers! brb to finish posting have to go to short meeting. |
ok back, didn't take all that long.
MELLIE....I kept seeing the commericials for next weekend's C in J and thought about you every time. Was going to post about it but see you are already in the know. I like the movies too, I may be watching with you. HAPPY...I am right on board with you on the tick thing. They just gross me out. I can handle just about anything else but that. Nasty. Hella B never had a tick on her, but my dog before her had a couple in her life. She had access to running around in the woods as HB only had the backyard. Thanks for the bread/sub listing. I actually had heard of most of the list, but then again I am so into cooking and baking that I check many things out that I come across. CHELLE...we had a few fireworks offenders here too. All counties were banned except 4 in NE corner of state around lake MI. Indy put out a special number to call to report folks disregarding the ban. Instead of tieing up the 911 line. I didn't call it as I only heard the fireworks and did not see where they were being set off. Is this the week you start your new job or am I off my a week. I have lost count. Goodluck today if so. I would mail you the lettuce, but sure it would lettuce juice by the time you received it. lol LAURA...I am a bad worldlie chick...I missed your birthday...come beat me with a big fat wet noodle. Sounds like you did ok on your birthday. I am not much on steaks but love fish and chicken. Red me kind of turns my stomach and mind if I think about too much. CEEG...our temps are much better today 84 and nice. Supposed to be 85-88 through the weekend. I don't know much after that. I just wish we would get a terrific rain. We had dark skyes, thunder and lightening, but not one drop of rain yesterday. I think it came down all around us and skipped over the house. Boo. Hey there to Ellen and Patty, hope you are staying cool. Better get back at it, I would light a match on this pile of papers but there is a no burn ban. haha Have a great day/night! Congrats again, Shaddie. Loves and Hugs |
Getting through Monday (or should I say Moan-day?) - yay for it being nearly over. :)
Annie - Even the days you say aren't "real constructive" seem rather productive to me! Glad you had some lounging time watching the movies on Sunday. Did you get your pile under control today? No wet noodle beating for you - I'm getting to the point where I like my bday as an excuse to do fun stuff, but not to actually celebrate it. Not sure if that made any sense to anyone but me... Anyway, I'll remember this one for the fact that my drivers' license needed to be renewed and last Monday I went to the dmv and took an absolutely horrible photo that I now have to live with for the next four years. Aaargh! Ceejay - Glad you're excited again about your vacay. No superstitions allowed re Friday -it's just another day!! Happy - Hope you get to go back out and do some hiking, though the ticks would scare me too! Yeh, mosquitos haven't been too much of a problem this year so far, but then again, we've been spending a good amount of time indoors with the AC. ---We had a great produce store very close to home that closed around March, and another chain just closed their location closest to us a couple weeks ago, blaming it on the nearby Walmart (that expanded to include groceries too). We have another store semi-convenient with good produce and a great deli, but it's a crazy place on weekends. I usually refuse to stop there then. But we did stop on Thursday to pick up a few things for the dinner with my friend and was reminded of all the great stuff they sell there. Just have to go during the week and get there before they start closing up the deli... === Okay, the admin didn't call in sick, but she did call in this morning to take an unplanned vacation day, which the boss didn't like because she's going out of town starting tomorrow afternoon and needed some schedules prepared before then. Well, bf is having his big milestone bday next month and I have to get on the stick with party planning. Started off thinking of having a small group gathering at a hotel or cabin in a WI resort area, and then thought it might be better to have a local gathering so some more folks would show up, since it's a special birthday for him. Thought of a couple restaurants where we could have it, but down deep I know people will want to hang out longer/later than the few hours a restaurant would allow, and having it at home would be better. But I'd hope for an outdoor party if we did it at home, and the weather can be so unpredictable. And all the work to get the house ready. Aaargh. This is not my forte. |
OMG ladies. I have been trying to catch up for two days and everything is just going on…
Congrats to Shad on the new baby and Michelle on the new job!!! Annie~so sorry you are having such trouble sleeping, I know my mom had some issues with the cymbalta giving her weird dreams. Laura~ happy belated Birthday!! Whoo Hoo!! Ceejay~Glad you are still taking your vacay! Enjoy the time with family! Happy~havn’t caught all the way up on your posts. Has Dh been able to repair the stairs so the raccoon stops going underneath? How’s LB? Ok last week was a blur…I worked on Monday, Then Tuesday I drove my mom to the doctor then rushed home to go tailgate at the White Sox game. Kids were all really good, even DD3!. She was so good at her first game! Wednesday we lazed around/kinda cleaned up the house in the morning, then went over to a friend’s house in Chicago for a 4th of July BBQ. We hung out way too late, but got to see several firework displays on the way home. Thursday we dropped the car off for some maintenance, then took the kids to a friend’s mom’s house to go swimming. I was really good about the sunscreen, but still managed to burn my shoulders and chest. Surprisingly my back was ok. Friday I went back to work and DH took the kids to another friends house for more swimming and BBQ. Saturday worked then got together with some girl friends and we had a girls night and saw Magic Mike…plot was really bad, but you can’t beat the “other” scenes. Had a blast and Stayed out way too late again. Worked yesterday. Then got to sleep in today, but Working again this evening. I don’t have much planned for this week, Just may have to take Mom to a different doctor on Wednesday. Going to try to go thru clothes and get back into the attic for baby things for some ppl. I will continue to catch up and try to keep up with you amazing ladies!! |
Good morning ladies -
I've got to leave for work in a few minutes...but I wanted to let you know that the physical went great! My BP was a little high, but other than that, all was good. Then I went to Human Resources to fill out lots of paperwork, and then to security to get my photo taken for my badge. :D On Monday, I start my new job at the Hospital's corporate office (which is a lot closer to my house than the actual main hospital); so one more week at the current job with a long commute. And, to answer Happy's question, yes I will be working for the Hospital with the funky name that no one can pronounce unless they've heard it before. It's like the Wisconsin version of the Mayo Clinic or Stanford Hospital or Johns Hopkins. Great reputation for leading edge treatments. The hospital system that I'll be working for includes the hospital where DH had his surgery and was admitted for a few days. DH jokes that I'll be earning back the money our insurance paid the hospital for his stay! I'm going to take Friday off. The doggies need to go to the vet for booster shots, and I need to get my hair done. Well, it's time to head out the door. I'll post more later. Much love, |

I FORGOT ALL ABOUT THE 2 DAY BED BUG INSPECTION. THEY SENT ANOTHER NOTICE AROUND LAST EVENING. CHECKING UP TO MAKE SURE THE EXTERMINATORS ARE DOING THEIR JOB. SO FAR SO GOOD & JEN & I DON'T HAVE ANY. BUT THE SENIORS ARE BLIND SO THEY NEVER SEE THE LITTLE BUGGERS:rofl: I AM OFF TO STRAIGHTEN UP & POSSIBLY WORK A BIT. HAVE A GREAT DAY. BTW.....YES EVERY APT HERE HAS AT LEAST ONE A/C. SOME HAVE TWO!! WE GET DEDUCTIONS ON RENT SO WE CAN USE THE HEAT & A/C BUT..... THE SENIORS ARE CHEAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LAURA...YOU AND BF ARE SO RIGHT!! GOTTA HAVE MARLBE FOR A STEAK TO TASTE GOOD:drool: GOD I LOVE BEEF!!! ALL THE DOGGIES OVER HERE ARE PANTING TOO. EVEN THE CANTS OUTSIDE ARE LOLLING AROUND WITH TONGUES HANGINGOUT. LET THERE BE SNOW:snowball: PS: I LOVE THE GOOD WITCH. WE WATCHED THEM TOGETHER!! HAPPY......I BET IT'S GOOD TO SEE THE JULY HODAY-ERS L;EAVE TOWN!! SORRY THE EATING WASN'T GREAT. HOPE YOUR JOPB CALMS DOWN TOO:hug: MICHELLE....HOPE THE PHYSICAL WENT OK AN D YOU ARE READY TO GO!!! ELLEN.....YOU ARE ONE BUSY GAL. WE UNDERSTAND. YOUNG FAMILIES ARE A LOT OF WORK. LOL GLAD YOU GOT A GIRLS NIGHT OUT THOUG!!! |
Happy
Glad you mentioned the ticks. I'm sure that their will be some in the Smokies. I'll take some otc med for that too just in case. Ellen You are so busy, but still yet have time to do some fun things. Annie Glad you had some down time. We all need to relax. Laura That's exactly what my sis said about this coming Friday. Mel Ewww bed bugs. At least they are keeping up with the situation. Shad Are you home yet? Saw on FB where you were at the air port. Patty Where have you gotten off to? ------ Whew I've been having leg cramps big time. My left leg is really sore right now. Can't figure out what is going on, I've been taking my potassium and eating foods rich in potassium. I do this every time I take a fluid pill. But my lower back has been bothering me too, where the bone spurs are. It may be related. I'm taking some Mobic/Meloxicam tonight and the rest of the week. Need to stop at Walmart tonight to pick up a few items. |
Morning all.
Ceejay - Leg cramps - ouch! I hope the cramps and back pain ease up quickly, especially before you start your drive. Mel - What a shame the seniors short themselves on the AC and it leads to serious health problems. I think AC is worth every penny when it's been as hot as it was. (Just remind me of that when the electric bill arrives!) Re The Good Witch - I looked online and saw there was another movie completed and I thought that was why they were re-running all the previous movies. Do you know anything about that? Michelle - If they're giving you an ID badge, you must be official now. :D Glad the physical went well. Okay, did a quick search and think I know which hospital it is. Yay for you!! :yay: Ellen - Your week sounded very busy but fun. Swimming was definitely the best outdoor activity last week. :swim: Hellos to the rest of the Worldlies. ++++ Nothing much to report. Didn't do much of anything after work except fill my bike's tires with air. Bf & I made a deep-fried mushroom recipe we haven't had in a long time using the deep fryer bf won in a silent auction. It's a discontinued model - Tfal cool-touch, but it's much simpler and a better design than the behemoth he'd bought a couple years ago and used once. The 'shrooms turned out really well - having the oil at the proper temperature helped them cook without absorbing too much oil. Well, I picked two movies as my choices for tonight and one of them, Magic Mike, was chosen. I checked the site metacritic and it didn't do too badly with the movie critics, so in spite of two bad reviews from Annie and my friend D. and a mixed one from Ellen, I will go and if nothing else, ogle away. That's about it, so I'll get this posted. Have to work on the operating report this morning and having lunch with a work buddy. Oh, and the boss will be out of the office the rest of the weeking starting this afternoon, so it'll be nice and quiet around here. :) Have a good day/evening everyone!:cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool::cool: |
Good afternoon ladies -
I've got a few minutes to check in before I'm off to a meeting for a few hours. ==================== Laura - The physical only took an hour, and then nearly another hour to go to the other departments and do paperwork, etc. It is a challenge getting good produce, especially if we miss the weekly Farmer's Market (which hasn't offered much lately). But there is a great produce store on the south side of Milwaukee where the owner goes to Chicago every morning, and buys it traight off the boats or trucks or whatever. I'll probably stop there on Friday, since I'll be on the southside of MKE for the doggies' vet visit and my hair appt. I'm like you, when I'm sleep deprived even for one night, I'm super cranky the next day, and then I wind up sick. I can't even imagine people's stupidity leaving children and animals in a car in the heat. IDIOTS!! I am SO running into the same conundrums (sp?) as you regarding planning my b'day party. Home outdoors? Home indoors in case it rains (in early sept)? restaurant/bar? I don't know. Aaargh! :faint: Mel - How wonderful that Hallmark is treating you to a holiday movie marathon!! I've been so busy lately, I haven't had time to keep up on the movies and shows I've DVRed recently. good luck with the bed bug inspection. That sounds so nasty. I'm glad you and Jen don't have any. Happy - So nice that you and DH found some nice walking trails. Bummer that the bugs found you on the trails though. When DH is closer to 100%, I really want to go hiking. But I'm definitely not comfortable walking alone on trails (never know if an animal or lunatic could getcha) :( so I'll wait 'till DH is stronger. That's good that you're finally getting some peace in paradise. :) Your company physical story was really creepy. Mine was NOTHING like that, thank goodness. Clothes on 100% of the time, and a female nurse practitioner performed the exam (eyes, ears, throat, glands, bp, pulse, listened to my heartbeat and breathing, proper lifting technique, that was about it. Ellen - Your week sounds crazy busy. Lots of fun stuff, but really busy nonetheless. It's a good thing you worked last night to give you a breather. LOL Ceejay - I'm excited for you about your vacation. No vacay for DH and me this year with changing jobs and paying off medical bills. I take Mobic/Meloxicam for my back. It really helps. I hope the leg cramps ease up before you go on vacation. Annie - It's always better to be busy at work than to be bored. Glad you had fun with Lil Monkey and some relaxation time with C. Gotta head to the meeting. Much love and hugs to all, |
Hi all,
Not sure where the day went. Oh wait, had to resend the claim for medical reimbursement because they wanted something else. We get horrid cell reception here - got a new no contract phone and trying to decide if we want to keep it. Wound up getting a cell phone booster today that did nothing. (2 houses down the road we go from 1 bar to 3 :( ) Don't know if we want to pay $400 for a more powerful cell phone booster for the house. It's not too bad on the road - we get 2 or 3 bars compared to none with AT&T. I went through a issue of Cooking Light and selected a couple of options for dinner this week - cooking and housecleaning sure do take up alot of my free retirement time  Looked a bit more at jobs - not much in the first place and they want to pay the absolute minimum wage and give you only a few hours a week. Not sure I want to work 2 days a week to take home 45 dollars. So thanks for the book suggestions Michelle but they will do no good up this way. I'm sure if I said I'd work for 5 bucks an hour I'd be snapped up in an instant  And then here it is 3pm already. Michelle - glad your physical went well - sounds like everything is snapping into place. Laura - enjoy your movie - three things I learned from watching all the cooking shows is that yes, you have to have the oil REALLY hot for things to cook properly - crisp up and retain the moisture in the food. If the food is greasy, the oil wasn't at the right temp. Also don't overcrowd the pan when frying - if too much is in the pan, the moisture from the food "steams" the stuff next to it and you can't get a good sear. Finally went you put something in a hot pan, let it sit long enough to crust. Once it crusts, it will lift right from the pan. I always would try to turn pork chops too soon and the meat would stick to the pan in shreds. Leave it until it's got a carmelized crust and it works just great. There... I've saved you 100 hours of watching 150 cooking shows :chef:  Hope you enjoy the movie. I figured the only reason anyone went to see Magic Mike was the hardbodies. Kinda like reading Playboy just for the articles   Good luck with planning BFs party - time or money - you will have to spend excesses of one or the other. I would opt for the least effort on my part, central location and would pay for the convienience. This is prime cost for renting cabins in WI but if you rented a place that slept 12 and knew people would drive up for a weekend that might be fun but most people don't have enough time off to warrant a long drive. So go with a local restaurant - you have lots of nice ones to pick from. Ceejay - hope the leg cramps let up. Don't want to drive in pain. Mel - never thought about having a bed bug inspection but I suppose that's a great way to keep vermin out, especially since the buggers can travel on upholstery and such. Don't be accepting anything people leave at your door :nono:  I totally hear you on the seniors not using the a/c. My sister keeps hollering at my Mom that she doesn't want a phone call that Mom fell over and passed out from the heat! If they aren't complaining about the cost, they are complaining they don't like the wind blowing on them  We're having either fajitas tonight (not spicy) or stir fry beef and snow peas - what would you like but hurry with your answer as I am about to start on supper :D Ellen - the raccoon is around but not going near the house. DH has a mesh bag of mothballs by the entrance that I totally DETEST smelling. Not sure that's much of a deterent. I guess your "vacation" has zoomed by - at least you got out by yourself for a few hours. Sounds like it's back to crazy busy again. Annie - got a big laugh from the idea of Lil Man asking Sophia out for a bottle :baby:  Hope you were not suffocated by all the paperwork. Watch out for those nasty papercuts too! At least the day goes by fast. Hi Patty & Java  Ok, I've decided I want fajitas. Better go make some salsa and guac. Fajitas are easy to make but take alot of prep time. Later chicks. |

POOR KID ALMOST KILLED HIMSELF THOSE 6 DAYS W/O ANY A/C. HE WORKS INDOORS BUT THE FUR PLACE CAN'T HAVE A/C. THE SKINS DRY OUT AND YOU CAN'T TRIM THEM RIGHT. IF YOU ASK ME...IT'S ALL BS!! ANYWAY....HE'S GOING TO TRY AND GO TOMORROW. THIS WEEKEND IS ANOTHER 2 DAYS OF HIGH 90'S COMING TOO!! YUCK! |
HAPPY.....I AM NOT FUSSY SO JUST MAKE ANYTHING...I'LL LOVE IT!!
I AM STARVING RIGHT NOW TOO:rofl: THIS DAY FLEW BY HERE. GUESS I SMELLED YOUR FOOD GETTING READY TO COOK!! LOL HOPE YOU CAN FIND SOMETHING TO WORK AT. NO FUN WORKING FOR NOTHING!!! I KNOW ALL ABOUT THAT!! ROFLMAOFF!!!!! HAVE A SUPER NIGHT. |

Great, now there is someone at the gate. And the phone is ringing. Greaaaaaaat. Back soon. |

I'm told she has long legs and big feet. How can anyone so tiny have big feet???
|
Shad - glad there were no monsters at the gate to snatch you away from us. Are you to be called Supergranny now or is the DS riding you one? As for the baby - Big feet??? Well perhaps it's like a puppy of a large breed - born with huge paws that they eventually grow into. This one looks to be model tall. Is Mum or Dad a long and lanky one? She looks cute, winking already. ;) I think Lil Man best mind himself
Doctor's appointment this a.m. Got me up before the dew dried on the grass and it's quite wet out there. Glad I'm not camping. Mel - not to brag but the steak fajitas were fabulous last night. You would have enjoyed them. Fresh fruit salad too which was refreshing. I've got the leftovers stowed in the fridge waiting on your arrival. Tell the dirty girly with the bedbugs she is not allowed to wash her bedding in the communial washers. :snooty:  Ick but I suppose that happens in multi family dwellings. Poor Ritchie  sounds like the poor boy works very hard trying to pay the rent. Hope he will be ok. Guess the rest of you lot has not woken up yet so I'll let you wake up, get your coffee and your thoughts organized. I will be back later... |
Hump Day/Trash Day/and I am too fat day!
My clothes are so tight I look like a stuffed potato in a undersized sack. I have been eating better the past several days but know it takes time to see a result. I am so impatient. Praying for that. We truly need that commune for the added support of actually being together. HAPPY...that would be your place. Move over bear, we are moving in. lol. Well girls it is official, I am going through menopause. I started having hot flashes about 3 weeks ago and I am NOT liking it. About 8-10 a day. Night sweats, and also learned that crying is also a side effect of menopause. There it is folks in black and white. I am not as nuts as I thought I was. I read on ling that Dong Quai (supplement) will help with hot flashes. Flax seed will help with night sweats. I am going to Whole Foods this week and get both to see if they work. Before I figured it out and talked with my doc, I thought maybe I had something seriously wrong with me. lol. By the time I get home from work I need a shower due to all the sweating. It is just awful. For personal reasons, I am no longer on FB. I deactivated my account. Evidently you can still access my page tho. Which means you are in cyberspace forever...was anyway probably. HAPPY....I fixed tacos last night for dinner...we are on the same wave length for chow again. I love mexican food. Probably my favorite. OMG I love your avitar. I told the girls in the office and they all cracked up. I told C and bless his heart, he said it was not funny. Thanks for the cooking show run down. I never have time to watch any of those. Have you tried Verizon in your area for reception? Just a thought. SHADDIE...Miss Sophie is just adorable. Lil man has long legs also, man if those two hook up we will have and 8ft great grandbabe. lol. Sophie probably has long fingers too, a piano player. Welcome home to the rings, dings, and knocks on the door. Just put a sign on the door like MELLIE does. LAURA...well what are your thoughts on the movie Magic Mike? I love deep fried mushrooms, but end up only eating the mushroom part as the breading fills my tummy too fast. Kind of defeats the purpose of fried mushrooms. CEEG....I am telling you sista, try the bar of soap in the bed at night for leg cramps. It works wonders. I put a bar of Ivory soap in a knee hi stocking and tied it off, then put it in bed about ankle/calf area. And if I do get a cramp, I run the bar of soap over where the cramp is and it helps a lot. Fluid pills as my BP pill takes the water/potassium out of our system, which doesn't help with cramps. CHELLE...so glad the physical went well. I know you are so psyched about your new job...see good things come to those who wait. Hope DH continues to recover quickly. Glad DMIL is enjoying the surprise boxes. MELLIE...poor Richie. Sounds like when C gets home, just about to die. C goes in and stands in a cool shower for about 10 minutes. Thank God his truck at his new job is air conditioned and an automatic. Hostess was not air conditioned and had to shift gears. He was really beat when he came home from Hostess. I just don't get how people can stand to live in filth and dirt. It is so disgusting. Glad there are no bugs on your floor. I feel you on the heat thing and we have NO rain in site. Weatherman keeps teasing us with a "possible scattered shower", that never happens. I think his brain is a scattered shower. ELLEN....I wish I knew someone with a pool besides my BF in St. Louis. That is kind of a long drive to swim. Nice you can take the kidlets somewhere to enjoy the water. Hey to Patty.... Have a great day/night.. Loves and hugs... |
Happy...you are my sneaker inner. Drinking coffee with you my sweet sista...have a marvelous day!
|
quick post as I am swamped at work. Lots to get done before I'm outta here tomorrow.
Shad - Sophia is certainly "tall" and pretty enough to be a model. ;) Annie - You're not alone, I'm going through menopause too...Hot flashes, night sweats...no fun. But at least no cramps. LOL Happy - I hope the doc appt goes well. Anyway, I gotta run. A big  to all. Much love and many hugs, |
Morning all.
Michelle - Glad your physical went quickly & well, and wasn't creepy like Happy's!! Happy - I've definitely learned a lot from the cooking shows, but I guess I thought that when deep frying, certain foods could require lower temps...but it certainly makes sense to have a higher temp going because the oil will cool once you've added the food to it. Mmmm, fajitas. We've never tried to make those, though we have considered buying the prepared fajita meat/peppers/onion that our local market sells. I certainly understand not wanting to work a job w/ few hours and low pay - unless it was something you really enjoyed doing and would essentially do for free. Mel - No, I've only seen the GW movies you listed, but I looked again online and it was on Wikipedia that I saw that #5 & 6 will be filmed in July/Aug of this year. For some reason I misread and thought they'd been filmed last year. Duh. But now we know we have something to look forward to! Poor Richie! I suppose I assumed he worked outdoors in some type of construction/trade, but it sounds like his work is just as physically demanding and in hot conditions. I sure hope he's feeling better now! Shad - Looks like little Sophia will grow up to be a tall drink of water - time will tell. Annie - I hope you find some meds to make you more comfortable while going through menopause, and that it doesn't take too long. Magic Mike was not a great story at all, but the stripping scenes were entertaining... Mmmm, tacos. Bf and I love Mexican food too and we seem to either make tacos every other week and/or go to a local taqueria for them (or tortas or burritos, etc.). Hellos to Ceejay & Patty!! :) Hope you're both keeping your cool. --- As I told Annie - Magic Mike was fun for the dancing/stripping scenes, but the storyline was lame. I hadn't seen anything w/ Channing Tatum but heard he wasn't much of an actor, and I tend to agree. Matthew McConnaghy was perfect for his role - just the right blend of sleazy and smarmy. I'm not even sure he was acting, hahaha. I can't believe my friend D didn't think the strippers were hot enough - gonna tell her to get her vision checked, lol. Nothing much else to report. One more episode of The Good Wife to watch in season 2 (dvd due back to the library tonight) and then we have to wait for the library to get season 3. Okay, back to work. Have to get some stuff done before a meeting at 10. Have a good day everyone! |
morning,
I've tried once before to post but started having some problems at work. I wasn't told that the our new super Walmart store would start flushing out a 15 inch main to pull bacteria samples. They'll do it again tomorrow and maybe Friday. They have to have at least three consecutive good samples. They installed new water lines. Wish people would inform me. Vacation is getting closer. I'm getting more and more excited except for the long drive out there. I told my sis I'm going to break it up into 4 hours for Thursday and finish the drive on Sautrday. Took my mobic/Meloxicam last night and feel much better. Shad Guess your grand baby has two little men to choose from. My great nephew is almost 3 weeks old. And from his pictures he's going to be tall. To me he already looks 3 or four months old. Laura Our temperatures have dropped dramatically since the rain. It has brought out the mosquito's. The grass has even greene up some. Happy I agree with the hot oil in frying things. My aunt makes the best fried okra and squash in her deep fryer. My cousin lovese to cook and keeps tempting me with all her goodies. She has her own web sight at AuntNubby@blog spot.com. Most of it is good home cooking. Mel Are you staying out of trouble. Poor Richie beinig sick is no fun at all Michelle I know you are excitedgetting to start your dream job on Monday. Glad the physical didn't take to long. Hello's to Patty and Ellen |
Hello Ladies,
Good news about mom, went to see several doctors and they concluded it is a torn cartlidge in wrist and swelling of tendons. Her hand is feeling better. After we got the news on thursday afternoon I asked her if she still wanted to go to San Antonio for wedding on saturday.. She said yes, so came home back, got car ready and friday pick her and dad up. Had a great time but came home on sunday. Worn out, house is a mess, but had a great weekend. Shad - Congratulations on baby. She is definitely has long legs. When do you get to go home? Ceejay - are you coming to Texas? If yes, i would love to meet up with you. Annie - We have been very blessed to have rain this year. Last year we were in a terrible drought, but in spring got lots of rain and actually rain in June. It's actually raining right now. Last year at this time I think we had 30 days over 100 and this July not even one. They are saying that produce & food will be going up as many of the corn fields are burning up, up in the midwest. Laura - I want to see Magic Mike. I heard the storyline was bad but the view is good :) . I need to check out my library to see what DVD they have. Michelle - Glad to hear everything is going well with the job. Mel - Yeah, no Bed Bugs! I worry about them when i travel, I was told NOT to put luggage on bed or floor. So what am I suppose to do with it? Happy - I hope your Doctor's appointment is just a routine checkup! hi to Ellen! |
Afternoon all.
I've been busy with appointments today. Have to get things done when you come home. I've been and picked up the hearing aid (not fixed as advised but the consulting man managed to patch it up enough for me to use until I come home for good) and I have had to take a couple of rings in because it seems that the diamonds (tiny ones) are falling out. Then I had my haircut. I am trying to get the family together for the weekend for a meal but no luck so far. Trying to get that lot in a row is a hard thing to do. Maybe breakfast on Sunday before I go back to the Hunter will be a goer, although I think my big brother will be working and my niece will also have to go to work. Not trying to catch up with all the personals today, but will get back to it tomorrow. However........ Annie - I had an easy ride through menopause. At some time around 44 my body decided it would no longer tolerate Dairy. Everytime I tried milk on my cereal or yoghurt or cream then the stomach got all bloated and I would be very sad for a long time. I changed to soy milk. These days you have choices of rice milk or almond milk as well as A1 type milk which does not have the lactose of ordinary milk. You might like to try something like that. I could eat sheeps cheese or goats cheese or milk but nothing from a cow. I'm fine again now, but cream still makes me a bit wobbly. I only ever had one hot flush and that was enough. Michelle - hope the new job is just what the doctor ordered. Hope the place you are working at now is not too sour about your not sticking with them. Better go get something to drink and get on with cleaning the kitchen, dining room and lounge. It's wet again. Doesn't seem to want to go away. Miss Puss thinks her throat is cut, but she is not due for food for another couple of hours. |
Just heard from DS1 that wee baby girl has been put in the ICU of the hospital with apneoa (sp?) Seems that like Annies lil monkey man, she is doing the premmie thing and stopping breathing. DS1 says all is well and the staff are doing a great job and that this is a common occurrence.

Up early as I need to get ready for tomorrow's trip. I'm officially on vacation.
Patty I'm meeting my sis from dfw in Pigeon forge this year. We're celebrating her 65th birthday. My it doesn't seem like we are in our 60's. Mel You sound more calm. Glad Richie is feeling better, to bad he's having to work while Jen and the girls are supposedly having a good time. Nothing new just need to get on with my day. |
Good morning all,
Got some stuff to do today so this will be a short post. Shad - sorry to hear about Sophia but at least they caught it and know how to deal with it. Mel - yep, L.B. is still hanging around. He was on the porch peeking in the screen door the other day and is going out in a wider range grazing on the lawn now. Patty - while it sounds like you Mom might have some recovery time, at least it's something that can get fixed which is always good. Hate those problems they can't seem to diagnose. Ceejay - glad you decided to go meet with your family. Safe travels. Laura - fajitas are VERY easy to make - just takes some prep time which you can do a day ahead if needed. Will provide a "recipe" if you want... Annie - welcome to menopause. Not much you can do about it. Luck of the dice as to how intensely the symptoms hit. I am all for the hormones to help with symptoms. If you don't go that route be sure to up your calcium - you can lose up to 10 percent of your bone mass each year when in menopause - that was the primary reason I went the hormone route. I heard Black Cohosh (?) was also a herbal option - something else too, I will remember it later. Soy is also supposed to help but not if you have thyroid issues as soy slows down the thyroid. Hi Michelle - is this you last day? Hi Ellen Gotta run for now. Have a good one ladies. |
Morning all. Quick post as my train arrived a wee bit late and I have stuff to do before a meeting at 10. I also have to run down the block to pick up a refill of my rx for the nsaid for my shoulder, which is slowly getting better.
Good thing the doc allowed a refill because it turns out i need it for two of my fingers. On my bike ride home yesterday I somehow ended up with my tires right against the curb and couldn't maneuver away and took a good crash and tumble onto the lawn. Ouch. My pinky and ring finger on my left hand hyperextended in the fall (well, the landing actually) and are swollen and painful. Luckily that was the worst of it. Gawd, I need to be protected from myself. Patty - Glad your mom's wrist is not serious and that you got to go to the wedding. Nice that someone's getting the rain! Shad - Glad little Sophia is doing good and hope her breathing gets back to normal and allows her to go back home soon. Hellos to the rest of you!!! Have a great day! :) :sunny:  |
Laura,
Ouch on the fall. |
Hi Ladies -
Today is my last day at the current job. I told them I need to work from home (or closer to home) due to my husband's health issues. I did not tell them I had accepted another position. They REALLY REALLY REALLY like me. In fact, my boss had called me in his office to tell me how many compliments I've gotten for my technical skills, willingness to help every and my positive attitude. I felt bad telling him that I couldn't work there any longer. They'd like to see if they can get the director to approve a part-time, freelance sort of thing (which I'd be open to considering if it weren't too many hours). Anyway, the boss said that if I'm ever looking for a job in the future and don't mind the commute downtown, I should definitely give him a call. =========================== Shad - I'm so sorry to hear about Sophia, but at least they caught it and are watching her, and that she's doing well all things considered. Laura - the bike crash sounds so painful. I hope your fingers feel better soon. Remember to ice them as much as possible for the first 48-72 hours. Happy - I'd like the fajita recipe too please. Patty - I'm glad you had a nice weekend with the family, and that your mom's wrist isn't too serious. Sending hugs. Annie - I hope you and C are both doing well and not working too terribly hard. Mel - I'm so glad to hear that Richie is doing better. :) Well, I've got to run to a meeting. Much love and many hugs to all, |
Good Evening My Worldlie Sisters........................
It has been on long day...Work is making me work...go figure...lol CHELLE...it is so nice to know that if and when you MIGHT need another job...there is one awaiting in the wings. Hey if the freelance stuff does not bog you down or RUN YOU DOWN to making you out of energy and sick then go for it. I will put MY FOOD DOWN if you even start to feel sick...I will kick your b*tt and call that job site to fire you..get it? got it? good! SO happy you are on your way to bigger and better things.....so excited for you. HAPPY...it is such a funny thing, since I posted my dilemmas of menopause, I have not had one night sweat or hot flash...I am freaking out. Like what the H does all this mean. I am one freaky person. SHADLET..lucky for me I have not had milk in a couple of years. Have been using rice milk. Even in my cooking. It works well. I have to cut back on the sugars or anything that adds sweet taste to anything to make up for the rice milk....I have been successful so far. Even mashed potatos. As I learned the hard way...no worries about the NICU for the babe. She will do just fine. The doc said usually after 5 lbs they start "getting" how they are supposed to breathe. She will probably be in the NICU less time than lil man and go home soon. Lil man had to go 5 days without episode to go home. It came around the 5lbs, 8 oz size. No worries. H*ll I probably have the sleep disorder and do not even know it. LAURA....holy crap on the crash. Really that sounds like my normal life. I crash for no reason....here is to feeling better. Be careful sista, we cannot stand anymore injuries. CEEG...this whole communication thing seems to be the break down of anything...work...play...relationships...you name it...if only others would realize the importance of keeping everyone informed and how much time and effort it would save for everyone.l MELLIE...as long as the bugs stay clear from you and Jen the heck with how they dispose of them...Do you really thing the seniors that are causing the bug issue are going to change their ways...I think not....they live in filth, they know no other way of living....puke puke. PATTY.....great news about momma and wonderful you two will still get to pary at the wedding. God blesses us in strange ways. I am actually overwhelmed with sleepy eyes and wanting to make it happen. Going to head to bed...C has been there since 7:45. A littel too early for me, but ready to TRY to sleep....everyone keep your fingers crossed. Happy evening/morning all.... Loves and hugs... |
From DS1 this morning. Sophia only had one episode last night and recovered on her own. Waiting on this mornings test results.
When I know more, you will all know more. |

WE GOT ANOTHER HOT WATER HEATER FIXED LAST NIGHT. TONS OF HOT WATER NOW. GOING TO JUMP IN THE SHOWER. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT DAY AND WEEKEND. ENJOY. :beach: CEEJAY.....WATCH OUT PIGEON FORGE....HERE COME'S OUR CEEJAY!! HOPE YOUR VACATION IS ALL YOU WANT IT TO BE  SAFE TRAVELS MY FRIEND AND HAVE A WONDERFUL TIME :encore: HAPPY....GLAD LB IS OK. JUST CURIOUS. WONDERING IF HE HAS ADOPTED YOU. HOPE YOU GT ALL YOUR CHORES DONE. LAURA....OK IT'S BUBBLE WRAP TIME FOR YOU KIDDO:hug: I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! GLAD YOU GOT ANOTHER REFIL FOR THE NSAIDS. THANK GOD FOR NSAIDS TOO!!! YOU AND I WILL KEEP THOSE COMPANIES IN BUSINESS!! I HOPE ALL THE BOO BOOS FEEL BETTER AND THE FALL DOESN'T SET THE SHOULDER OFF. MICHELLE.....GLAD YOU GOT AN OFFER BEFORE YOU LEFT. OPEN DOORS ARE ALWAYS A GOOD THING. GOOD LUCK NEXT WEEK!! I AM HAPPY YOU GOT THE JOB. ANNIE....THE WOMAN GOT WRITTEN UP....THE DIRTY ONE THAT IS. THE OTHER APTS WERE SCATTERED AROUND THE BLDG AND WERE SPANKING CLEAN! LOL GO FIGURE. I HOPE YOU GOT THE SLEEP YOU WANTED:ug: SHAD.....SENDING PRAYERS TO SOPHIA. I HOPE SHE PASSES ALL THE TESTS. TELL BRENDAN TO BE PATIENT:hug: HIS SWEET BABY GIRL WILL BE HOME SOON:bb: |
Morning all. TGIF!!
Mel - Love today's graphic! Mmmm, pot pie. :hun: Poor Richie! Is he heading out by Jen/kids for the weekend? Enjoy those nice hot showers now that the leak is fixed. :) Yeh, I suppose bubble wrap could be in order for me. As I expected, there were some aches that appeared later in the day yesterday, but nothing significant. The shoulder has good days and bad, and the crash didn't help... Shad - Hope the results are good for Sophia, I'm sure she's on her way and she'll be putting those lungs to good use in no time. :D Annie - Yeh, holy crap re the crash, but I'm back on the bike, being careful. Heck, if you're going to bed before 8 pm, no wonder you wake up at 2 am, lol. Michelle - Sounds like you are parting ways very amicably with this company, and it could still be mutually beneficial for both of you. Good for you!! Hope the last day went well and that you have a great Friday. :) Ceejay - You might be on the road by now, but still wishing you safe travels and that you have a wonderful time in PF with the family!! Hellos to Patty, Happy & Ellen. ==== So happy it's Friday. Tough week, working on yuckies, but trudging onward. Nothing planned for this weekend, and of course temps will be in the 90's and humid. Not tempted to be doing anything outdoors, including bicycling, haha. As I mentioned to Mel, I've got a couple more minor aches from the crash, but mainly I've got the two sore/bruised/swollen fingers that I don't get to ice as much as I should. They are feeling much better today, though, so they are on their way. Pretty thankful I didn't tear or break anything in there. Otherwise, I have a minor scrape and a big bump on my left shin, which probably came in contact with the crank shaft/pedals/whatever when I went down. The bump's got a bruise all around it, and I'll see if the entire thing eventually turns colored. Not a good time for shorts-wearing. Nothing much else to report. Oh, bf made the strawberry ice cream last night. Only had a spoonful of it, but it's much better than the cherry ice cream he made a few weeks ago. He said that for the cherry, he had the ice cream maker's frozen insert sitting on the counter for a while before he put the mixture in it, and that made it lose a lot of its coldness and didn't help when it came time to freeze the mixture. This time I brought it up from the basement freezer right when he was ready to pour it in and he noticed the mixture froze a lot more quickly. Watched some of the Piers Morgan interview with Robert Blake from the other night. We were watching it on the tv at the place we ate at the night before and missed some of it, and so bf recorded the rest when it re-aired later that night. What an angry and difficult person Blake is, but he's not had an easy time of it the past several years - and he's probably been a difficult person his entire life. Can't imagine having to conduct that interview... I'd forgotten he was a Little Rascal, and now he's written a book about it cuz he's bankrupt....lost all his money in the civil settlement re his wife's murder, which he claimed he didn't want to talk about but did anyway. Okay, stop rambling, post this thing and get back to the grind. Have a good weekend all. |
Good Almost Afternoon....90's for the next week or so, once again they are teasing us with "maybe" rain over the weekend. I have danced my arse off to no end for rain...no luck. Still watering the gardens. Today at noon the mandatory no watering the lawn or washing your car at home goes into effect. Fines will start at 250 and move up from that to 5000. Personally, I love a brown yard. No mowing. I did get out the mower a few days ago, stirred up some dust and cut a few weeds that always grow no matter what.
Just got back from a lunch time pedicure, paid an additional 10 bucks for a 15 minute should/neck massage. Oh so good. My neck and shoulders are always tense so it felt extra good. Was only gone about 70 minutes. The place is a 5 minutes drive from work. Then went next door to Red Habanero to get a veggie taco salad to go. Grilled onions, yellow squash, green peppers on a bed of lettuce, cheese and refried beans a bit of salsa and yummy. Came back to work ate that, now I am on a break posting..lolol Nothing on the agenda much this weekend. We have a few house projects still on the list. Caulking around the garage trim and post on front porch then painting trim. Removing the 3 birdnests that are on top of the garage door opener in the garage. Well one is inside by the lightbulb, the other two are on top. I have no clue how the birds got in there. They are old nests from last year. Also need for C to get up on the roof and slap some tar and shingles in place where they have blown off. I really need a new roof, but cannot afford it right now, nor do I want to afford it. blah. At least it doesn't leak. This fall we are painting the two full baths, laundry room and the 3 bathrooms. LAURA....I lay down at 8 pm with C, then about 10 minutes later when he is snoring, I get back up and watch TV or do chores around the house. Are you kidding, there is no way I could go to sleep that early. I have tried, no dice. I usually stay up till about 10. I listened to the re-cap of the Robert Blake interview on the radio this morning on the way into work, that was more than enough for me. He just sounds like an idiot. I loved him on Baretta tho. I wish I could eat ice cream, but it is one of my trigger foods that makes me puke. I love anything strawberry. Guess it is a blessing in disguise. Try to stay upright on the bike this weekend sista. hugs MELLIE....glad the water heater is working again. Take a nice long hot bubbly (with epsom salts in it), kick back, read a book and have a glass or two of wine. Poor Richie, you are his momma (kinda) so you have to take his calls and cheer him up. We are all typically everyone's momma at some point in life. Does the heart good to miss Jen, he will see how much more he loves her. SHADLET...sounds like little Sophie is getting right along. One episode last night is good. Lil man had one or two an hour in the beginning. Liked to freak the sheak right out of us till we got used to it. She will be home before you know it. Read my PM to you. Let me know. Hello to all the worldlies and have a great Friday/Saturday/weekend...I am sure to get back here over the weekend..I hope. Love, Hugs and Prayers..... |
OK, ladies, I have not been busy this week, but still been MIA lately. Just sitting back and relaxing and too tired to type. LOL This week has been good. Worked monday evening, lazed around Tuesday. Dh and I went out to dinner at Tilted Kilt again...Their food is really good! Just kinda hung out with the kids on wednesday...I made steak sandwiches, annie's potatoes and salad for dinner. Yesterday I drove mom to the doctor...she is progressing very well. She had to walk a fair way at the Doctor's office then she needed a good pair of gym shoes for her outpatient rehab starting Monday so we stopped at the New Balance store and she bought a pair.
Just work for me tonight, been working on Mt Washmore all week, so I have the aftermath to put away in my room. I should prob get moving on that soon. I will tey to get personals done tonight or tomorrow from work. Have a great weekend everyone!! |
Hi all,
I had some errands to run this morning and at one point I got a sudden painful crick in my left side. Some muscle is seizing and it's very painful. Can't sit in a chair for any amount of time, DH said to get on a heating pad. I guess I will have to. We are going on a wolf run tomorrow so I don't want to be laid up. Going to try the heating pad and if it eases up I will post later... |
