Hey Cows! Let's get on the busy bus!

• I'm still here, too.
I should be getting ready for Gala birthday of 11 year old...but I'm a lump. Shame, shame, shame. I just heard of a new groomer who will put animals to sleep(not THAT kind of put to sleep) rather than torture them....is it safe?
I just joined Sam's Club and plan to save tons of money. Georgie Bushhead is slam dunking our economy so even the wasteful, like me, must economize. So far I bought birthday party stuff and Valentines Day stuff.

Oh yes, AND I was just offered a full-time job. Sadly it was as a teacher. I thought it would be imprudent to tell the guy that I can't be a full time teacher because I can't stand other people's children, so I politely declined. Someday, I want to work full time. I need a new career, because it certainly will not be as a teacher. I wonder what kind of careers are best for chronically lazy people?

I think I will do something productive....A Widow for One Year is very good...I don't think I am going to bother with a list. If I find myself spinning my wheels, I'll check in and gift all of you with a list.

BTW..Bagzie, Hospice is so wonderful. They visit my Mom every day and do EVERYTHING for her, from manicures to enemas. They are SO nice about EVERYTHING.
• I think Peaches should go to the dance, too.
Kiwi, are you at the eye dr? is that why you aren't posting?
Wabby, I think I requested you to post.
I have PBS on and Sesame Street came on. They have CHANGED Rubber Ducky. What is wrong with the world?
Sugar, go to the dentist.
bye
• I'm so sorry to have to do this to you....
No, I'm not, but the reason I'm so popular among the local housewife crowd is because I have a capacity for insincerity.
I am going to do a list with the listmaker. I'm s excited. I've been doing my lists manually. Here it comes~!!!!!!!

shift wash done
unload dwdone
load dwdone
flip roast, I'm already making dinnerdone...DH is going to faint when he comes home to find dinner made...
I don't have count of how many items are on my list.....
trash outdone
take trash out of kid's rooms...I have to sneak their stuff out or they won't let me throw anything away.done
take it to the front of the yard I hate to do this....
.
Again, I'm sorry I have to do this to you. But I can't organize myself any other way. It should be inspiring to you.

• Oh Geez. Okay. I'm getting offline and calling the eye doctor.
Actually I have waited because it took DH all day to decide on what interim insurance policy he was going to buy .

Okay, I'm going, I'm going.
• What happened?
Turns out, I prefer my own lists...I think you've had enough time, Kiwi. Results, please.

I'll be back with a list....
• My eye doctor had already left for the day when I called and won't be in until Monday. So I called another one. Also not there, is getting back to me tomorrow. I hate it when DH is right (he said to call first thing this morning). Of course I'm not going to point out that he was right.

DS brought home the bill for his yearbook and I was shocked.
DD's is $30. I thought that was a lot. They didn't have them in middle school.
Quote:
There's a singles valentine dance Fri near Herbie's house. I could go ahead and spend the whole wekend at his house and go to it but what would it be like going to a dance ALONE!!!!!!!! And NOT old and NOT fat and NOT haggy.
Dahling, you're supposed to go alone to singles dances!! Go and charm the pants off some handsome gent. (Well, maybe not literally :0 )
HeeHee I misquoted Peaches -- bad Kiwi
Good grief, Bagz, don't put the cat to sleep! Just put her under anesth. for a bit!
Quote:
I just heard of a new groomer who will put animals to sleep(not THAT kind of put to sleep) rather than torture them....is it safe?
NO!! Many dog breeds are sensitive to various anesthesia, and putting them under always has some risk to it. It's not something you should do for grooming unless the dog absolutely can't handle grooming any other way. And I would never let a groomer, who wasn't a vet, put my animal under anesthesia! A little different with a cat, who'd probably kill you before you could get all the mats out.

What did they do to Rubber Ducky?

Kiwi
• This has been a busy day. Kiwi has made phone calls too late. Everybody has a dog or a cat doing something. Lush has flipped her roast. Bagz is just so cute. Wabby is .... where is she? and Sugar is eating M&Ms.

Here's my day. DS started walking funny and asked me the symptons of a hernia. Doctors office was too busy so I took him to the ER which took longer because there are more of them and they can party more between patients. DS has a lump in his lower abdomen but the doctor said he thinks it's a pulled muscle. DS will go to a better doctor tomorrow. This ER doctor started out nice and funny: "Do you smoke yet? Drink? A little alcohol now and then, eh?" But after the exam was grouchy grouchy grouchy. DS said he washed his hands after the exam and said outloud "This is just awful." He was from the mideast. Maybe that's how they say "bye."

How can a 14-yo earn $?
• 1. Cut grass

• This is question for my adorable sissy who makes fascinating oh-so-perfect lists and who knows everything worth knowing in the universe. *taking deep breath and letting blood flow back into fingers* The hose has come off the back of my washing machine. The top of the hose has a wire thingie to hold it tight. It's so tight, I can't put the hose back on. What to do????

p.s. nice lists. And now that you know the doggie isn't hyopallergenic, what does fate hold in store for him?
• I believe you need a tool to loosen or a snipper to snip that thing, then you need another thing. Home depot would help you. Just go an explain your prediciment to the out-of-work plumber who works at Home Depot and he'll tell you everything.
The doggie stays...people can take Allegra.
Here is the saddest story of our household. Tomorrow DS10 will become DS11. He is very excited. He would play hockey in the AM with his usual team, then party at Van's with all his friends then dinner at Lone Star, his favorite restaurant. Sadly, DS10 has a fever of 103. No hockey, no Van's, no Lone Star. Now everything is thrown off....Van's can't reschedule next weekend, we have to go into March.
My adorable dog has bad habits. She will not stop jumping on guests...true, she only comes to their knees, but it is annoying to people who come here. I guess we have to train her.
Wabby must be sick, otherwise, how could she stay away from us?
I'm sure Kiwi will call first thing this AM to get an eye dr. appt.
gotta go.
• An internet friend sent me this website about a friend of hers whose baby had a lung and heart transplant. It's a neat site about a hard topic. http://www.aubreyrose.com

• We are supposed to get serious snow again this weekend. Does no one CARE that I'm tired of snow and my kids have been sick all winter???????????????????????????????? That means that they boys will not be able to play in the snow and I will be stuck with bored kids in the house.
Bagzie, I"m sure my lists are boring, but I just can't accomplish anything without writing it down.
Peaches, that poor baby on the website. We're all so lucky to have healthy kids.

That's my morning list. I feel lonely.....where is Sugar and Wabby? Kiwi, we know, is at the eye dr.
• Well I'm right here, Cowsies!!!! The last couple days have been hectic. I know. No excuse.

Re: the cheesiness of Curves. Curves is cheezy in the extreme, but that doesn't mean that it doesn't work. The women at my Curves are not fashion models or the usual buff girls at the regular gym. They all look kinda like me. Middle aged. A little chunky. Besides, the regular gym here is packed and it would take me 2 hrs. to get in my 30 minute workout.

You need a pair of pliers, Peach. Then you can squeeze the little wire thingy. Or you could go out to that dance and get yerself a man, bring him home and ask him to do it for you. I think buying some pliers would be easier. That was a good list your sissy made you about work for DS. I'd love to find a 14 yr. old boy to hire.

My dogs jump on our guests too, Lush, but our dogs are not adorable little pint sized critters. They are big, slobbery hairy dogs. They are really good dogs individually, but when they get together they lose all their manners, they're both so worried that the other one will get some attention. So sorry your almost 11 yr old is missing his own birthday party. What a bummer.

I'm always worried about my eyes, ever since I found out I have glaucoma, I worry about losing the lousy eyesight I still have.

Everyone should have yearly eye exams, even if you don't think you're having any problems.

Bagzie, have you noticed that the quality of fabric at the fabric store is not the same as it used to be??? or is that just a local thing here? It used to be that it was of better quality than ready made clothes were constructed of, but not anymore.

I'm painting my family room. If anyone would like to see the color, they can look at my hair.

I'm listening to Linda Ronstadt, singing big band tunes. That girl has a set o' pipes.
