Aaron, glad you have a plan. I agree with the summer activites and food related stuff in the summer being mighty hard on a diet! You have done so well already. Glad that your wife in interested as well. I think it would be helpful to have that in common.

This past weekend we had our local Autumnfest. I was on the board, and tried to be helpful planning the first car/cycle show. It was a success! Also I drummed up enough door prizes that everyone (more than 40 cars and bikes) got a door prize! DH and I worked at the foodstand yesterday. It was fun.
Today, at work, we got the opportunity to chat with the person "taking over". We need to reapply to be considered. Even after many YEARS of service, we still go back to square 1. We're not too sure about how we feel about that. I'm postitive how I FEEL I guess. Just not too sure what to do... stress...
Stress, brings me to my next topic. I felt the need to eat EVERYTHING yesterday! Including a big double cheeseburger, a whole box of crackers, a couple of Mike's Hard Lemonades (YUM!), pudding, and anything else that got in my way too! Then I couldn't sleep either. That makes for a tired and cranky, depressed ME today! Saturday wasn't much better. Fried chicken and all the trimmings at a wedding. With cake of course! I should go home after work and take a nap through supper!
On a positive note, I did have a gal from the bank tell me that summer has been good to me. I asked why. She told me I had shrunk! Still lots of shrinking left to go. Wondering if I can fit in the dryer to speed up the process! It seems to work wonders on our clothes!
Tammy, can I ask how you got so many door prizes? do you go to local businesses and ask? its so hard for us, with a tiny community, the same businesses get hit up for every charitable reason imaginable. Congrats on the success!

Do any of you use a fuel additive, to counteract the effects of ethynol? just wondering if it's something I should be doing. Saw a bottle of treatment stuff at the mechanics when I had my bike there for oil change and he did recommend it.

Holly we have a small community as well and businesses do get hit up by everyone for everything so it does make it very hard to get prizes - good thing we know quite a few business owners that really help us out alot!
I will try to get a picture posted of Karly this week adn also DH new bike- yes we did come home with a new bike- Starting this week I get to take Karly to work with me 1 day a week so I am looking forward to that

had a nice time at the girlfriend's family's house last night, very nice people, and it is super kewl to have her family tell us that they think the world of our son! The kids leave WEdnesday but I will try to be more about it, lol.
had yet another day of sun and heat yesterday, i have maybe not ridden to work about 3 times this summer because of rain, thank god we haven't run out of water, we had a well drilled many years ago, before that a spring that kept going dry, so YAY for enough household water! have a good day
good evening, well I thought I would have to drive the car today but then I saw that the road was dry, and chanced it on the bike had a nice ride in, and only got caught in a shower on my last two minutes home
Well I am feeling kind of blue, with our son leaving tomorrow. I thought I was fine with it, trying to feel excited and happy for them; but today, he came to my work to pick up some last things from his room there, and he basically brushed me off because he had a hangover from a goodbye party his friends had last night; but he did go to the office manager and gave HER a hug goodbye I was so hurt! I am still feeling bawl-y about it. I'll get over it.

Glad you are getting to ride as much as you are- not getting to do much lately but our 5th annual poker run is next Saturday the 8th and we have a wedding about 450 miles away this weekend so we will be busy busy as usual!!

good morning all I did get over my sniffling over son leaving, at least the part that I thought I was being slighted. Saw pics of their first day on the road on FB and they looked so happy and excited.

(that would be the teeth covered in Chex Mix, ice cream, and beer bread!!) Labor Day Camping was very destructive to my plan! Not only did I fall off the wagon, it ran me over and was leaving without me!
Hi everyone. Sorry I have been gone awhile. Been fighting some demiens, I believe I am having some anxiety issues that I have decided to call the Dr about tomorow. DS has graduated boot camp & is home till tomorow morning. He wanted to get recruiters assistance which would have meant he could have stayed another month but EX & I is glad he didnt get it as he is back together with his EX (baby Mama) She still is not working or has a drivers licence & is now living with her grand parents due to some problems she was having with her mom & step father. DS has pretty much spent all his time home with her & ignored his other friends along with the stuff he needs to get done before leaving tomorow. I feel like I have nagged him more then anything since he has been home. I wrote him a note saying how I have not realy seen the changes that he wanted me to believe was made. I did not mention her but made it clear that I am disappointed that he is not doing what is needed to be done, specialy since he had told me that most of this he was going to have done before he left the 1st time a round. If its not done this time I will be pitching alot cuz he has been warned & I am now getting a room mate since he is gone 7 I need the extra space.
BF wants me to go to Vegas for a weekend while he is there. He is going cuz his daughter is having her 1st baby (his 1st grand child) Hes going to be there for a month & wants me to go & meet his family. I told him I would go but this CA trip I made really drained me & I am drained till my next check this next coming weekend. So Im not sure what will happen if I'll go or not. It should help with a room mate cuz she will pay 1/2 of the Apt bills.
Other then that I am holding steady at around 127.

Colleen at least you made goal unlike me this last month with the vacation and the 2 weekend get aways I have gained 5 pounds - very angry at myself and now what Friday we head out of town again about 250 miles away on the bikes for the Flood Run- excited because I don't want to put bikes away but it is playing havoc with the weight loss......

Last night we came upon an accident scene, a motorcyclist had just hit a bear Motorcyclist was extremely lucky, just a broken wrist. The bear was down but trying to get up feel so bad for animals that get hit by motor vehicles, it's just not fair. This is nuts but in all my years up here, I've never seen a bear, and now the first one I see is hurt and probably put down last night. I don't know of our state having rehab facilities for big wildlife. And all these twilight evenings riding, I'm only looking for moose!
That is sad about the bear. Around here dear are the big thing (other then the little squirls & raccoons) I know the dear can total a car let alone what a bear would do.
I am sitting at home today with my little daycar boy that I used to watch. His school is closed today & lucky for all of us today was my day off When he got dropped off he gave me a huge hug that nearly knocked me have over & I have been getting all kinds of kisses today too.
BF & I got my ticket to Vegas for next month. We got a deal for air & a hotel from Oct 17- 20 for less then $400. It was one of the travel Zoo deals. I doubled check to see what it would have cost if we did it support & just the air alone would have been more then $200. BF paid for it & I will help pay for the meals when we are there. I cant wait to go. I need a vacation again I keep telling BF he needs to win lotto so he can be my sugar daddy then I only need to work when I want too.
