  • Welcome back fer. Where are you with weight and goals?

Ultrasound this morning went awesome. Only one day off from estimated due date but officially in tje second trimester. Sooooo relieved. There's a .5 percent chance of losing baby from here. High heartrate, said could mean a girl. Just super happy

Haven't been to the gym in awhile but still staying steady with weight and eating healthy.
  • Quote: Welcome back fer. Where are you with weight and goals?
I'm somewhere in the 170s right now, though I haven't weighed myself in a while. My goals haven't changed -- I just need to get myself in gear and get back on track toward achieving them.
  • Sorry I've been mia. We've been going back and forth to the hospital everyday. Found out my hubby has high blood pressure so we are both tackling a low sodium diet right now. I hope it helps me drop some lbs. I've been keeping up with walking. We might take a walk along the river later if its not raining.

Keller-im so happy for you. Love your new pic:-)

    Fer-glad to have you back.
  • Burgandy- Thanks =] It's sooo exciting, and i'm soo glad not to be freaking out anymore.

Fer- You can do it! We're all here for you.

Got to the gym yesterday. Did a couple miles and weights. Been super exhausted this week. Blah. Eatings not going too well but sitting at 247 still.
  • No gym. Been exhausted from doing very little. Hope I get some energy here soon. Still doin weights, no longer crunches and ab workouts though.

Was down to 245 the other day but back up to 246.8

I'm hoping not to gain much, if any, in the next six months.

    How are you laides doing?
  • Keller-sounds like you are doing pretty good being pregnant since u are just at 246.

I've been walking some and doing just dance. My hubbynis on a low sodium diet so i am doing that some with him but not all the time. I have to get my eating under control. I have a major sweet tooth lately. I haven't stepped on the scale in a while. I'm kind of afraid to.
  • Any chance you might have room for someone else?

I'm currently at 223.. and my goal is 150lbs!
  • Disrupted- Yes! You're very welcome to join us. What are your eating and exercise goals?

My goal will also be around 155, but i'm 15 weeks pregnant so on hold. Just make a goal and stick to it and you'll get there.

Burgundy- Considering i'm at the same weight as I was 15 weeks ago, i'm doing pretty good. Well, with bloating I was 254 but once that went away i lost all of it again. I just wish I had energy to work out more often. I used to go swimming but my boyfriend works two jobs so he's never around to go with me anymore = / How's hubby doing?

    Cajun- How are you?

Lots of doctors appointments this month but i'm gonna try and get in more gym time.
  • Well chicks, sorry I've been MIA, but I have news too. Keller, I guess it's contagious because....

I'm pregnant as well! My hubby and I were trying for a few months and low and behold, I'm almost 10 weeks. Here's the kicker though - found out we're having TWINS!!! OMG, cannot believe it. It doesn't run in either of our families. We just found out last Friday about the twins - have known about the pregnancy since beginning of October.

So, needless to say, I've been packing on some pounds and eating like there's no tomorrow. I'm supposed to have 300 extra calories per baby, so it's like I have a tapeworm. My stomach is growling as soon as I wake up in the morning. Trying to eat healthy, but hard when you are nauseous all the time. Toast, bread and graham crackers and ginger ale is the diet of champions for me right now.

Scheduled C-section for Memorial Day 2012 at 38 weeks. We are excited, but extremely nervous about the financial aspect of having 2. I've been stressed out since last week.

Burgundy: Good luck with the low sodium diet. After you get used to it, it's not too shabby. How is Chris' finger doing? Great job on the walking - you are still my hero.

Keller: Congrats on the pregnancy, glad to hear that things are going well for you. When is your "official" due date?

I will try and check in more, but I'm in bed super early and get up right before work. Exhaustion is the name of the game right now. Hope everyone is doing well!!!
  • Maddiesmom- CONGRATS! Twins was my biggest fear! My official due date is May 6th. He said Most likely i'll be induced on April 27th or May 4th(One or Two fridays before) if baby isn't here by then. He said he don't like to let people go over and the average baby measuring at this week is 2.5 inches and our baby is 2.8 inches. Soo he's thinking it might be big. Are you hoping for girls, boys or one of each? I want a girl. Do you know if they're fraternal or identical yet?
  • Keller: trust me, twins wasn't in my plan either! My daughter was on the bigger side when she was born - 8lbs 14 oz. She was actually born right on her due date.

We don't know if they are identical or fraternal, we are thinking fraternal because they were in 2 different amniotic sacs. Ideally, we are hoping for a boy and a girl - one of each to round out the family, since we already have 1 girl. Second choice is 2 girls, I just don't know what to do with 2 boys! Will definitely be an interesting pregnancy to say the least.

Are you going to find out what you are having? Originally we wanted to be surprised, but now that there is 2 involved, we need to know so we can prepare.
  • Yes, we will be finding out the sex! ON Jan 3rd actually. They're making me wait til 22 weeks 6 days because of the position of my uterus. I wanted to cry when she said this. Needless to say, i'm not looking forward to the holidays-- I just want them OVER!

I did a gender prediction test and it said girl. Also, baby has a heart rate of 161 and that's said to be a girl if average is over 140. Hmmm. I'm just hoping!

I told my bf she's gonna have his big head and her mommas attitude. He's not ready for this lol I have another appointment on the 28th i believe. They'll do genetics testing and a heartrate check at this one.
  • I have the "BUN" ultrasound on Dec 1st where they measure the neural tubes in the babies' neck to check for Downs Syndrome. What testing do you have coming up?

Both of our babies' heartrates were in the mid-160's at the ultrasound, which they said is normal - I'm not going to even try and predict this time around. I honestly thought I was going to have a boy when I was pregnant with Madeline, but at 20 weeks we found out she was a girl. Honestly, it doesn't matter too much what the sexs are, as long as they are healthy...and I can carry them as long as I possibly can. The thought of bedrest scares the heck out of me because I am not one to sit around.

I have to do modified bedrest at 28 weeks, where I have to rest an additional 6 hrs/day outside of the normal 8 that I will be sleeping. Luckily my boss is awesome and said I can work from home during that time so I don't have to use any FMLA, etc.

This should definitely be interesting - I knew what to expect with one - having 2 is changing everything! I'm sleeping 10 hours per night and yawning throughout the day. Hoping to get some energy back, just so I can start walking or something. Haven't had the energy to do anything for over a month!
  • Vicky-congratulations. I'm so happy for you. I'm a twin so your little ones will always have a playmate.

Now keller and Vicky, send some of that baby dust my way.
  • Burgandy- i'll send it all your way LOL I don't know where it came out of though. My trick to getting pregnant is to take birth control. Works everytime hahaha

Maddies-I have no clue. It's a 4 screen blood test. One's spina bfida. One's down syndrome. I have no clue what the other two are for. He said they're the four most common defects if you know what those are.
