  • Hello all. Sorry for being away for so long, I had 2 managers out in my stores so have been covering for them. Trying to get my eating under control, I do fine until the weekend and it seems like all the hard work I did all during the week goes right out the door. Sigh-will this ever end? Anyway have a blesse day.
  • Well, this threads been.... quiet.

    Nothing new on my end. Beginning to show now. Tomorrow marks start of 17th week. Been eating alot but still hanging out around 247/248.

  • Hello all. Had today "off" from my shops, of course "off" means, sweeping, mopping, dishes, laundry, paperwork, doing errands, cooking, more paperwork! Looking forward to the feast hubby will cook Thursday, will do my best to try and keep portions sensible!!
  • Hey ladies. I restarted couch to 5k. My ankle has been hurting today so i am gonna take a couple days off from it. Gym is closed tomorrow and Friday so I'm gonna pull out some DVDs. Hope everyone has a happy thanksgiving
  • Burgandy- Hope your ankle is feeling better.

    Doctor appt today. Baby is still measuring a bit above average. Heartrate was 156bpm. Everything still looks GREAT though =] Find out the gender my next appointment. and I've only gained 4 ounces since my last appointment 5 weeks ago.

    However, nausea is back and headaches are still here so working out has been non existent this month. Seriously, maybe like 5 times, which sucks. I'm always so drained. I can't wait to pop this baby out in 22 weeks and get back to my high intensity workouts shortly after!

    How was your ladies thanksgivings? I had 4 family meals.. and ate way too much lol

    Thought I'd jump in here. Seems like an appropriate place.

    Have not been here for a while. I was doing so well. Lost 70 lbs. in about 7 months and then all of a sudden. I lost all my motivation? Did not want to read any more healthy stuff or keep within my healthy guide lines. maybe it was the holidays...

    I did still do a 5k and did all right walking. I know I could have done better if I was sticking with my plans.

    Joined an exercise bootcamp that kicked my butt yesterday. I hurt all over today. Did come home after the bootcamp and ate alot when I did not need to.

    So, I am planning on getting back in the eat healthy, walk and or exercise program I created and really think a fun accountability partner or group would help.

    When and if you go through a plateau or are not motivated and you slack off for a bit, how do you recharge yourself?
  • Welcome Visionairy =] The thread used to be constant but a lot of people have dropped off and disappeared. Us who are still here check in when we can but life gets busy!

    I can't tell you about a plateau because I only started 6 weeks before finding out I was pregnant. But for motivation, A good song really does it for me. When I feel pain, I know what i'm doing is working and want to keep going.

    A lot of my problem is with uncontrolled nights of drinking. I'm young, I like to drink and have fun. And mixed drinks (and worthless calories!) were my downfall.
  • Anybody still here? I'm still working at losing, sticking around 189. I just can't get motivated and this time of year is not helping. How is everyone else doing?

    Just thought I would check in. I started a new diet today and as I struggle through my day I think about the support and love of you guys and how much I really do miss you.

    For everyone newer... I am AJ. I fall off the face of the planet a lot. I lost a lot of weight a few years ago with the support of these girls. Now I gained it all + some back and I am trying again.

    I would love to know what everyone is doing (work, diet, life!).

    *Got rid of facebook so I really have no clue how people are because I cant stalk anymore =)
  • Aj-me and you are what's left of the originals. Dance disappeared in august which is really unlike her. I tried starting a new diet and it lasted a day, gotta get my motivation back and restart again.
  • Well I am wanting a buddy! I am 180 so we are starting at the same spot. We can hold each other accountable =)
  • Burgandy- Cold and winter time don't make dieting/exercise any better but don't make that a excuse. I did that for way too many years. YOU CAN DO IT!!

    Aj- Welcome back. I joined the thread in June, and i've been here since.A little about me- As you've probably read, i'm about 19 weeks pregnant. Babys due in May. Started at 260, Lost 14 pounds. Weighing in about 246-248 still. I started my journey about 7 weeks before finding out. It was not in the cards at all but i'll take what I can. I start school in 26 days for criminal justice. It's about 12 degrees and snowy here so exercise and getting to the gym has really not been my agenda aside from working and catching sleep, but before becoming pregnant I went to the gym almost every day. Cardio was my fave but I did weights to. I'll be doing videos after babys here again but mine are too intense for now. Tell me a little about you!

    Today was a HORRID day. My soon to be mother in law tried to commit suicide this morning. Soo selfish but its a Lot of unneeded stress on all of us. She's getting help in a hospital but her younger son moved in with us since she can't provide a stable environment. Another one of her younger sons will be staying with us for awhile. Praying that everything turns out okay and she gets the help she needs. Fast food was on my agenda while all of this went down, no time to actually make a meal.
  • Keller- OMG I am so sorry for all of that. Sounds nuts. Make sure to keep your own stress levels low for the little one. Burgundy and I have been trying to have babies for years now so you are one lucky lady!! Good for you staying healthy during pregnancy.

    Burgundy- Okay... MIchigan cold is a great excuse to not go outside and work out but I know you and you are the queen of awesome work out dvd's. Is there not one that you can start again? Or what about a wii game?

    Today is day 2 of my diet. I was STARVING last night and ate a veggie taco form qdoba. bad start... I also keep diving into the tub of nuts and I really do not think that is allowed. Its a protein shake with fruit and coconut milk in the am, veggies and meat at lunch and veggies and meat at dinner. Thats so dang rough for some one who has been eating out 2 times a day for 6 months!

    Its okay. I am still on it and still trying.
  • Hiyah! I've done great this week! Eating smart and I've managed to make it to the gym 4/5 days this week. A total of 3 hours of cardio = 8 miles on the elliptical and 1 hour of strength training mostly abs shoulders and back. I feel AMAZING and my energy is through the roof! Very happy with all that. Not so happy with an almost 5lb weight GAIN!
  • Keller-im so sorry to hear that about your MIL. How is she doing now and how is it going with your bfs brothers? Hope things aren't too stressed for you and the baby.

    AJ-i did pull out some DVDs and Chris has actually been doing them with me. With everything that went on with his finger he figured he needs to take better care of himself and has lost 25 lbs since October. A lot of it was from stress. I wish I could lose that fast. How is the new diet going?

    Msthick-Welcome. sounds like you are doing great in the gym. Did you eat something high sodium to cause the gain. Maybe its just water weight.


    I've been doing a lot better with eating, just trying to add in more DVDs or wii games to get moving again. We go to Alabama in 3 weeks, I hope to lose something before then.
