Arabella- glad you got back on track, it is so hard to be good when there is so much good stuff around. I am battling it everyday!

Carri-I know you will rock it once 2011 hits! I am so not ready for Christmas to be over because the time is flying by!

I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday! I am fighting the urge to eat bad things! I keep thinking that if I can't indulge right now whats the point of the holidays esp since it will be back to the strict diet for all of next year. BUT I also think that with my non exercising the only way I will lose weight is to eat right pretty much all the time! I will be bad Christmas eve and Christmas day but I will also know that the next weigh in won't be as good and I am okay with that. 27 pounds seems so far away and I am starting to wonder if I can actually make it there and be that small. I have NEVER been thin and just can't ever see myself making it there without working out hours a day and barely eating to keep it all up.

Arabella - YAY for getting it back, it does feel better to eat healthy doesn't it?? Makes you wonder why slips happen, oh right, we're human!! haha

Carri - I know you are going to do awesome in 2011!! It's so close now, I can hardly believe it!

Mel - I wonder if I'd be able to get down to (and maintain) my goal as well...right now I have 145 just because that is a healthy BMI, but I would really like to be somewhere in the 130's. But I'm not willing to eat nothing and exercise a ton either - I just want to be healthy - we'll see as we get closer I guess!

Well, wrapping has commenced, and is well begun! A few things to still do (of course) but things are starting to look like they might come together. Today we go to playgroup and then I get to go out by myself (oh, what a treat!!) to do some shopping. I need to get some back to work clothes - I have my first official back to work thing on New Year's Eve (a lunch with the girl who took over for me, and a meeting with clients). Sigh, sad my year maternity is over, but going back to work will be a nice change too I guess!

Liz - I guess I didnt know that you worked, I thought you were a permenant stay at home Mommy ....what do you do ? Yeah I think it will be nice for you to get back out in the workforce...but staying home with your babies is nice too I bet... :)

Mel - I definitely think you can make your goal ...you are doing a great job...just stay focused !!!

I cannot believe it is only 3 days until Christmas, wow !!! Before you know it - it will be New Years Eve !!! 2010 seems to have flown by ...but I think 2011 is going to be great for all of us !!!

Well ladies for the past 2 days I have been fighting this ear,neck and throat pain on the left side of my head. When I feel like that it normally turns into totally feeling like poo and being sick for a week. I have been trying to fight it with ear drops, antibiotics and airbourne so wish me luck bc I dont want to be sick for Christmas!

I have also come to realize that I am really lactose intolerant. I had yogurt this morning for breakfast and wow did I realize it! My stomach was hurting, I was super bloated and just felt all over bad. It sucks bc I really love yogurt,cottage cheese and ice cream :(

I weighed myself this morning and it said 196.2 which was depressing so I don't know if I will hit 195 this week....oh well what can you do right?

Liz- Yay for a whole new wardrobe!!! You totally deserve it!

Carri- I cant believe that Christmas is almost here either! I think 2011 will be great for us all too!

Auntie- Hope you get a break after the holidays and can have some quiet time :)

Carri - Yeah I work full-time, although it's from a home office. My company is in BC, so a little too far to commute to!! haha I work for a financing company, and I'm in business development / customer service.

auntie g - Mostly my work wear is casual, as I posted to Carri above, I work from home - but do need a few nice things when I go out to meet people!

Mel - Sending you lots of healthy vibes! It seems there's so many people who are lactose intolerant...it sucks! I sometimes have tummy trouble too from too much dairy - although I don't eat much of it to begin with. I hear you too on Christmas...it's such a wonderful time of year and then after it's all over it's just cold cold cold to look forward to for months. Blah. Oh my that was depressing!!! Sorry! :)

Anyhow ladies Santa is coming tomorrow night, pretty exciting! Hope everybody has a great day.

Morning Girls...i am so excited today...one - it is my last day of work before my three day Christmas break ( not long enough but I will take it ) and two -
I get to open up my presents from dh tonight...we always do the night before Christmas Eve as my parents have a big family thing for us all on Christmas Eve....dh said he over did it this year and that I am gonna love my gifts, so I cant wait !!! Plus I am pretty excited to have him open his too.

Mel - Sorry Girl - hope you can hold off on the sickness, it would really suck to be sick for the big holiday...and I feel ya, Christmas has come up WAY too quick, I love how the lights look at night, it will stink to have to take them down, but I wont do it until the first week of January or later probably.

Liz - work at home would be nice...I would probably be in pjs all day, hey who would know? haha ...speaking of BC, I would LOVE to go there, it always looks so beautiful on tv...gonna put that on my list of things to do :D

Auntie G - yeah we are gonna have a white Christmas and I am thrilled...glad it wont be enough to strand us all but will look nice.

Yeah Carri BC is beautiful - I got to out a few times for work. Actually I had a chance to move out there for work, and we were seriously contemplating it when I found out I was pregnant with DS...just couldn't move that far from my mommy with a baby coming!! ;) Oh, have fun opening your gifts! I'm jealous....we didn't do anything this year because of the fireplace...oh well!! :)

Totally insane here, alternating days of being totally on plan and clicked in with days of eating everything that's not tied down. :chin: Guess it could be worse... Yesterday was a bad one and my Christmas spirit was nil. Today all is well, thank goodness. So awful to go through Christmas depressed.

Day 4 of a nor'easter here. I'm thinking that probably hasn't been helping my mood.

Carri, sounds like you're going to have fun tonight -- can't wait to hear what you get. I know one thing I'm getting is a replacement pedometer, so I'll be back to 10,000 steps a day -- which really seems to work.

Liz, do you actually work with kids in the house? I can't imagine. I work at least mostly from home and when DGS is over I don't get much done. I work part-time from shared office space, after 10 years of working from home. I was happy to get out of the house. :yes:

Auntie g, enjoy your indulgences! It's the only sensible approach -- if you're going to do it, make it festive.

Yesterday afternoon, I found the words "temporary relief" popping up in my head. I'm such a basket case, in some ways. Eat, torture self over it, repeat. Ugh.

Mel, honey, you're so close to your goal you should consider it a success. Close counts! Hope you're feeling better.

Hey ladies! Thanks for all the well wishes! Tomorrow starts the chaos for the next few days....I'm sure it will all be a blur by the time Sunday gets here lol I can't wait to see the look on the boys faces when they open all their present Christmas morning :)

I have decided whatever the scale says tmw even if I'm at 196.2 like I was this morning its OK bc I can always jump back on track next week or at the new year. I have been so emotional (thank you bc!) and DH says I have been way to hard on myself about not losing as much as I want. So I will take his advice and CHILL out until the new year hits :)

Morning ladies! Merry Christmas Eve! I am not posting my weight bc I am up this week and don't want to bring my spirit down. I won't weigh in until the 1st at the earliest. Guess my New Years Resolution should be start exercising again.

I am officially in Onederland!!! It wasn't as exciting for me when I first hit it. The scale said 199 and I wasn't really that excited because that's as far as it has gone in years. I can't remember the last time I saw less than 199 on the scale. It seems it gets stuck there and is impossible to go any lower.

However...today was my WI and the scale said 196.4!!!! I was so thrilled! I feel like I really am in Onederland now! :) :)

tschaff - Congrats!!!!

Mel - Don't worry, it'll be off in no time, you're right just enjoy a wonderful Christmas with your DH and your boys!!
