Great job everyone ,
That pumpkin pie actually sounds delicious.

I went for my weigh in yesterday and was down 0.8, but that wasn't the best. My centre had been running a biggest loser competion for the month of November and guess who won.....
Me thats right, 6.3 % down. Nothing compared to the real biggest loser but hey its better than nothing.
$200.00 worth of products was the prize.. I was the happiest girl yesterday.
Hopefully I don't screw up that weight loss in Florida next week.

Tricia
What were you baking...
I have been dreading the baking thing. I was always the baker at work and jus recently everyone was complaining that I don't do it anymore.
Any suggestions on baking that comes in on program??

i actually posed this question on another group when i meant to put it on this one.. oh well.. doesn't hurt anyone...

i compared the HM VH shake mix to another protein mix that i was thinking about and vitaminally and minerally (are those even words) they are equivalent.. the alternative has 30 less calories... so i wonder if i could use them and treat them like a VH shake..

so i was comparing melaleuca proflex to the VHP shake at HM.. Minerally and vitaminally there are pretty much equivalent.. and the melaleuca one is 30 calories less... I trust melaleuca because that is where we get our vitamins and supplements and laundry.. DD has serious eczema issues so therefore needs a chemical free alternative and they are reasonably priced...

i compared the HM VH shake mix to another protein mix that i was thinking about and vitaminally and minerally (are those even words) they are equivalent.. the alternative has 30 less calories... so i wonder if i could use them and treat them like a VH shake..

what do you ladies think? i know at HM they will push their product but its $26 more than the one i am looking at through Melaleuca.. opinions?

I like this book because it tells me what one serving equals as far as protein fruuit and dairy go

the cheesecake doesn't even use up a free exchange and is a complete protein.. hmmmmm

Hi Tricia .. Wow thanks for all the work.
I would love the choc chip cookine recipe as well as the rocky mountain squares. Sounds interesting.

I don't ever use the vhp shakes or powder but I do buy protein bars at Zellers. They are equivalent in nutritional value to the ones at HM.
and alot cheaper. I figure HM cannot have the exclusive rights to all the products they sell. They are after all the money they can squeeze out of people. Don't get me wrong I like HM just not the cost of some of their products. I'll save money wherever I can

Hey Tricia
TOTALLY go with the alternative to VHP. I went to my centre with an alternate whey protein and it was kind of funny....first she tried to question the amount of protein, then I pointed out it was identical to theirs. Then she questioned the ingredients, but I pointed out it was organic. Etc, etc etc. I think there is some validity that the source of ingredients should be respected, but if you check that out, then I definetly think you can do the alternative. BTW....I didn't think 'vitaminally and minerally' were real words, but woudl NEVER question a philosophy student
