Arabella, they had a special at the Bikram studio I went to. $20 for 2 weeks unlimited classes. So I went like crazy! Now my 2 weeks is up, and it's $17 per class. I can sign up for 5 classes for $75. But even that is a bit pricey. Those classes are soooo worth it! I wish I could afford an unlimited membership.
Still holding at 179. I weighed again today. I am going to try and eat right and get some exercise between now and Wednesday. Maybe I can "will" the scale to move down another pound or two. It got freezing cold here in Austin the past two days, so I have not felt like exercising outside :( |

I made more peace with eating less this week, got all my exercise. Had a lot of stress, though, and am wondering if that affected weight loss. 1/22: 144 1/29: 142.9 2/5: 143 Pretty disappointing. Felt like I worked hard and tried cycling my carbs and calories. Made it to the gym 4X. I think I need to get some more cardio in, even on the days I don't go to the gym. Looking into some DVD's. Other than the gym, I get very little activity - I drive to work and get in no walking. And I hate the cold, so I don't want to walk outside at lunch in this weather. Will aim for a minimum of 20 minutes of cardio every day starting tomorrow. |

Oh yes, reminded from time to time that this is an addiction I'm dealing with, substance abuse. The problem isn't the occasional celebration, which is good for the spirit, but the daily spillover that ends up feeling not at all celebratory.

Good morning, natamars! I weighed in at 142.5 this morning. So, for the last 6 days, that's 4.5 lbs. down. I'm curious to see what my official one week weigh-in will be tomorrow, since that is the day that I technically started seriously working on losing weight again, and joined 3fc.
It looks like our weight goals are very similar. I don't remember if you mentioned before what you are doing to lose weight. If it's any help, here's what I posted on another thread yesterday about what I'm doing... I do a combination of calorie counting, carb watching (not counting so much), and zig zagging. So far this combination seems to be working really good for me. I've lost 4 pounds since I joined this site last week (May 22nd). On my lower calorie days I'm also only having my carbs at breakfast, and the rest of my day is low fat/normal amount of protein. I figured that between the lower calories and the small amount of carbs at breakfast, my body will really go after those fat stores. On my higher calorie days I eat normal amounts of carbs, but still try to avoid carbs towards the afternoon/evening time, and have a little bit more healthy fat. I pretty much keep the protein count the same on all days, aiming for around 20 grams per meal. If I do have carbs later in the day, I try to keep it at a minimum so that I'm still doing low carb at least. We'll see if I continue to have good results with it. The first week of any new change in diet seems to give the best results. P.S. - I can't wait to have my weight loss ticker up and running. It's so encouraging to watch it go from one side to the other. For now, I've just been tracking my weightloss in my sidebar. The first set of numbers is my weight loss the first time around when I made it to goal. The second set of numbers is the weight I am now trying to lose again. |
Okay, I weighed in at 142 this morning, so that makes my official first week's weight loss 5 lbs. Next week I'll officially weigh in on Friday as my weekly weigh in starting with yesterday's weight. See you then!
