Checking in...managed to lose a pound at WI today. I ran the Race for the Cure yesterday! My first road race! We celebrated at the Lucky Lab , and I had the vegan pizza and a pint of beer. Combine that with TOM, and I was not at all sure I would have a loss today...but there you go.
Cristina - Happy Grand baby day! Looking forward to seeing some pics Sue - I love my front loader, very quiet and uses much less H2O. Hopefully you will have a drama-free day...( take the phone off the hook, lol) Susan- Hope you have a great day at work - yay for the loss Mindee - fingers crossed for tomorrow - things will be the way they are supposed to be. What a surprise! I had a tubal, too, but have passed my year 5 and year 7, plus I am OLD, so I'm not too worried about failure rates over here. Right now I am getting hot flashes and insomnia...so I think fertility is the last thing my bod is concerned with right now, lol. Jules -It's great that school and work are going so well for Teri. Children's Place would be a great place to work...I shop there alot for Leigh. I rad My Sister's Keeper and I won't spoil it for you, but I absolutely HATED the ending. I am in a minority on that viewpoint, I'm afraid. It really sucked. That was the third Picoult book I read where I thought she really bailed on her characters to throw in a totally implausible ending and I pretty much decided that I'm not going to read her books for awhile until I stop being mad at her. I take my reading very personally can you tell? Sassy- fingers crossed for you, too,lady :) Glad you are feeling better. I LOVED Time Traveler's Wife. Haven't seen the movie, but heard it wasn't nearly as good as the book. Well, I need to get in the shower, then work my way through a pile of paperwork in the office. Oh, found out this morning that there was a case of swine flu at a friend's middle school . Not our district, but one next to us...getting a little too close to home, and the vaccines aren't available for a few more weeks. Ugh - must call pediatrician today, too. So , looks like I will be busy today...have a good one, everyone! |

Katy - I was meaning to ask how the Race for the Cure went for you over on FB but time was ticking. I am glad it went ok, what an accomplishment! Enjoy your sunny Monday. Kathy - What did you make in the crock pot?? Ick to 3pm to 11pm shift, it was hard for me. How does Cole like it? Gaby missed me too much in the evening, I missed our whole routine and didn't like sleeping half the morning away. Blah - blah. Ya, I guess the memory made me crazed. lol I don't know how Sassy does it either. You're our hero Sassy! Anyway, you back to the 7 to 3? I really like my 11 to 7:30 shift. Cristina - Ya, I hear you! Weight chat gets to be a drag at times. I guess focus more on the friendships and it is somewhat bearable. lol I needed the summer break to take a breather myself. Lillian will be here on the 23rd? Is that the due date? You are going to be in baby heaven! Jealous. Sue - I don't know,sometimes when it is too quite is the time to be worrying. lol I hope everyone in your family is just busy,busy. I had Sisters Keeper but heard the ending wasn't so good so didn't bother. I am w/ Katy, some of Picoult's books are a let down at the end. I am still trying to get through The Woman Next Door. Katy--I get that way myself..I hate a rushed or unbelieveable ending in a book too. I loved Dennis Lehane's Shutte Island, can't wait for the movie to come out, was disappointed with what they did with his Gone Baby Gone book to movie. SO PROUD of you doing the race!!! Sue--no news is good news...right...I am still loving the washer and dryer...hubby thinks it's funny... Sassy--hubby is a homebody and I seem to be turning that way myself...(ps...fingers crossed!!) my appointment is in the morning and I am hoping to get some kind of answers! I have been eating like I normally do, but I keep gaining weight. (it wasn't noticeable to anyone else......until Tommy looked at me the other day and said "have you been gaining weight?" he wasn't meaning it in a bad way or anything, he was just asking me.....and I told him that I haven't changed my eating so I don't know why) |

Mindee- Let us know what the results are today! Sassy - What are you going to do w/ 5 days off? Sounds like heaven. Jules- I looked at the lentil loaf recipe, looks doable, considering my limited abilities. :D. Sounds yummy. Were you able to rest? I skipped to the end of TWND and decided to start my next book, "Daniel isn't Talking", hope that turns out to be more enjoyable. Not good news on Rach and her GED class, it is her own fault ........but still as a mother it is painful to watch your child struggle. Gab and I watched Cloudy/Meatballs yesterday.....please ..way too much food even for me. lol It was ok, Gab liked it, that is all that matters. I look forward to seeing Fantastic Mr.Fox in Novemeber with the voices of Clooney and Meryl Streep, that should be good. Otherwise I need to take myself to see Julie/Julia this weekend. I will buy myself some popcorn and hold my own hand! I don't need a date! :carrot: Holding at 150, bleh........can't seem to get it back down. :wave: to Francie, Sue, Katy, Kathy, and Cristina! well, we have been back from my doctor's appointment for a little bit now. The boys are at school, Marissa is sleeping and Tommy went to his mom's to wash our clothes. (I will have to wash the kids clothes and such probably tomorrow)
I am going to make a list of things that we want to do while we are in Ohio this coming weekend! there is so much going on that it is kind of nice....that way we won't be sitting around the hotel wondering what to do! Every thing went well at my appointment. I am still not showing anything on the ultrasound, so as of right now, I am not pregnant. My lining is still super thick, so my doctor Joanne said "it looks like you are about to get pregnant or you are going to bleed." So, I have to call back in two weeks if I have not started my period and make an appointment. I will then get another ultrasound and if nothing shows up on that one, then she will give me a prescription for the provera to start my period. She did tell me also that if I do start to bleed, it looks like it might be a heavy one, and to not be surprised or think that something is wrong. And if I have any pains that are unbearable I am to high tail it to the hospital. |

Input??? lol. I was watching "The Secret Lives of Women" on the WE (Women's Entertainment) tv channel and it was kinda cool. It was about differently shaped women, there was a woman that was a little person, then a really tall woman and then a curvaceous woman (or plus size but I HATE that!!! lol) Well the Curvaceous woman and her bff opened a dance club that is geared toward Plus Size women. I mean everybody is welcome, but heavier women can go and dance and have fun and not feel subconscious. She has a great attitude, she excepts herself the way she is and doesn't let that slow her down. I thought that was a great message, I mean don't get me wrong, I still wanna get healthier and lose weight, but I liked her attitude because I have always been ashamed of my weight. Even though people tell me all the time I have great skin and beautiful eyes, I still think "Yeah but I have a fat ***" lol. Anywho, just wanted to share cuz I thought it was a great idea! Suzy Q -- Well only 1 day is a vacation day (today) and the rest are my normal days off, but yeah it does rock having that many off in a row and it will be my last until I take my vacation in October, because starting next month we start our new schedules, but anywho, tonight and tomorrow I plan on doing a whole lot of nuttin! lol. Then Thursday DH and I are going to a Hotel in KY that has Themed Rooms. We're not getting one of those, but a Spa Suite (has a jacuzzi in the room!!), that I have a coupon for!! LOL!! Then we are probably going to the Aquarium and maybe this Amish place that has a little shop and sells furniture. Then Friday is my Bday Party. We are having it at the local Bowling Alley. I figured that was something different and fun to do. I do need to color my hair and buy a new outfit or at least a new blouse for Friday. Then Saturday, that is our Anniversary, so I'm not sure what we'll do, maybe go out to dinner or have dinner "in"?? lol. So thats it. Then Sunday night its back to work!!! YAY! LMAO! I love Meryl Streep, she is one of my fav actresses. I read Julie/Julia and it was pretty good, you'll have to let me know how the movie is!!! I am in Loveland, Ohio, which is about 15 miles NE of Cincinnati and we are about 1 hour and 30 minutes away from Chillicothe. I believe one of my Professors in College was from Chillicothe. He doesn't realize that I already ovulated this cycle, and we timed our adult time around it. so we shall see what the next few weeks have to offer! |
