Default all alone am I

DS is in the Kiwi state. He says next week he gets to dissect a rat.

Herbie is in Reno with his friend Doug. When Herbie calls at night he always says "Doug is sitting his with tongue out waiting to eat."I don't know who should be more offended, me or Doug.

I have cats who want to sleep with me but they're a pain. One climbs on my head so he can reach the high window and one is polite to allow me to put out a glass of water without taking a lap.

So I am bored. Bored and fat. Bored and fat and stir crazy.

Kiwi, I dont have your address handy. Would you mind emailing me .. or we could ask Bagz to act a go-between. I know her address I think.

Default Trying to appease Kiwi

Hey woman!! Welcome back!!!!!!Wooo hooo!!!! Post a whole bunch more and we'll forgive you for the post cards. I think personal correspondence is becoming a rare thing, Kiwi, probably why you had a hard time finding postcards. I would have taken a morbid twin tower one, though. I'm easy. Ask DH.

I didn't buy a car yet, Kiwi. I'm thinking seriously of a Honda Accord. DH is having a fit that I would consider anything but a domestic, but hey, I figure half of the domestic cars are built somewhere else anyway. Probably an SUV would be more practical for me, but I'm not willing to dish out that much money. They're too durn expensive anymore.

Peaches, I'm going stir crazy too, and DH isn't even in Reno. We went to the beach for the weekend (sorry, no website) and spent most of the time sleeping and eating. We didn't even go walking on the beach. Can you believe that??? It was DH's 47th (eek!) birthday. I don't know how a young chick like me ended up with such an old codger.

Hi Wabby and Peachbabe!

I think some Honda Accords are actually built in the U.S.; you should tell him to check it out. I can't believe you didn't walk on the beach! And, by the way, 47 ain't so old...spoken from the vantage point of 46

Peachie, I sent you an email, did you get it?

DH is borrowing a laptop from work for DD so that she can do her online writing course while we are at the beach. We're leaving on Thursday. I'm going to make reservations at motels with modem connections so that she can work on it on the way. I'm sure her friend will be bored to death, but I hope this works out. Last year we went to the beach a little earlier in the summer and didn't have this conflict. The course is 6 weeks long, so she will be able to concentrate on the rest of it better.

Later, gorgeous babes,
Kiwi

kiwi-bumpkin what email did u use? I can't get the old one to open these days. Did you the use the aol one like u're supposed to? How can I control you people? DS DID NOT call me on the weekend like he was supposed to. Today he left a message on themachine that he'd call later. He has my CELL NUMBER and DID NOT use it. I am upset by this a litttle. How should I act? He is being a selfish male.

Default Dear Peachboy

Pay no attention to your mother when she insists that she gave you her cellphone number and told you to call it. It is just like the aol address she claims to have given me. See you after you finish cutting up all the froggies and stuff.

Default Whew!

I just survived a workers comp insurance audit. Which is a big deal considering the fact that I forgot all about the auditor coming this morning. I managed to dig out all the reports he needed with no problem. He actually told me I'm organized. Ha! I've sure got him fooled.

Peachson is off having fun, don't be bothering him with reporting in, ma. You know where he is and that he's alive. This is practice for when he leaves for college. Believe me, they don't need ya forever.

Remember when I got down to 145? I'm not there anymore, and I don't even want you cows guessing my weight now. Sigh. I don't know why I do this to myself.

My sweet unofficial adopted son called to say we were welcome to come swimming with he and my real DS and all their friends. I didn't want to tell him that I was just too fat and flubbery to be seen in a swimsuit in front of them. But it was awfully nice of them to invite us old folks.

Gotta work.

Today I spent 3 hours taking DD to a 1/2 hour guitar lesson. This is nuts (it's an hour away). And she has another one tomorrow, because she missed last week and the week before. Oy. I'm tired.

I think Wabby weighs 147 lbs. My guess and I'm stickin' with it. When we drove in the driveway this afternoon, DH was standing there. Honestly the guy looks 7 months pregnant. How do you get a guy to lose weight? 'Specially since I can't lose any myself. The thing is, guys have no shame at all. They'll wander around in a swimsuit with a gut hanging out and think they look pretty hot! Now, theoretically this is a sign of good self-esteem, but geesh!

Tata ladies, gotta go look for more motel rooms (I'm rarely this prepared for a trip, but I actually have a reservation for one night already. Yay me.)

Default Men have no shame

Actually my DH is very conscious of his weight. He has a slight belly right now and he won't go without a shirt even though he actually looks pretty darn good. Of course, we are approaching rodeo time which means he'll go on a crash diet so that he can fit into his rodeo jeans, which are much tighter than the regular work jeans. Rodeo season is what keeps him trim. Now, me, I just go buy new jeans.

Kiwi, I used to drive 45 minutes each way so my DD could work a 2 hour shift. I feel your pain. Get some good cd's and try to enjoy the drive.

p.s. your guess was low.

I get to see Peachie.............I get to see Peachie

We're leaving tomorrow and drrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiivvvvvvvving for 2-1/2 days and then I'm going to bake on the beach and torture my little nephews and all that good stuff! We're going to have a laptop with us, and if I don't spend toooo much time on it, I can say howdy to you all while we're gone.

Later, i have 4 million things to do today.

Default you were all right

DS couldnt' call because a long line all the time for the phone when they get to use which is rarely. I don't need to talk to him anyway. Next week, when Kiwi and I meet in Cute Town USA, she will tell me all about the town and I'll know stuff he doesn't.

Where's Bagzie. ? Why is our envelope in flames? She she do that?

Default Funny you ask that...

I smelled smoke outside yesterday and it was definitely coming from the north...

I'm a-packin' my bags and a-headin' out today. Peaches, do you want me to bring back the book you lent me, or shall I pass it on?

Here's what I have to do this morning:

Make dog food for while I'm gone
Take a shower
Make 2 phone calls
Pick up my car and my kid
Pack
Wash the dog's butt
Scoop the cat litter
Vacuum the living room
Look for chairs and beach toys in the nasty attic
Think of stuff for the cooler and pack that
Take a library book back
Get rid of that giant dead rodent on the step so the dog won't eat it
Probably other stuff

Later gators

Having way too much fun to post. Just burned the microwave popcorn. Have a great time together, Kiwi and Peaches!

Way to go for surviving the audit, Wabby!

Hi Bagzie!

Oh, BTW, I wrote postcards to everyone and the are actually in the mail. If they're illegible, blame it on the sea air, ok?
