Barb I agree with Vonni - it will get harder before it gets easier. It takes a few months for the shock to wear off and for grief to fully set in. Make sure you have lots of support from people who love you - and don't ever feel you can't lean on us.

Lindor it's great to see you being so motivated and having a plan. I think it's awesome and I am really thrilled to see you doing so well.

I'm travelling alright. I'm doing well with 'maintenance' but am finding it hard to get the momentum to keep losing weight. And no, I'm not happy to stop at this weight - I still have a few kilos to drop. I just don't have any sense of urgency about it.

Today's plan is to try and stick to my goals. I have three days off starting tomorrow, and one of my workmates has given me free tickets to go to the footy on Anzac Day. Not only that, but THAT WOMAN was there when he offered me the tickets, and asked if she could come with me! I guess it's what you call a mates date . Oh dear…

Glad to see that Barb and Gen are still popping in. I can only imagine how hard it must be for you guys.

I've picked up a cold and am therefore staying away from the gym, staying indoors and feeling sorry for myself. One upside is that I hardly feel like eating so I've just been filling up on soup which is infinitely better for me than the rubbish I had been eating lately.

Tonight I'm going to go see about getting IPL done on my upper lip ... or, as I like to put it, getting my moustache removed by laser beam

My niece is visiting from out of town this week too so I'm taking Friday off work and mum and I will take her to the zoo (providing the weather is ok) so that will be nice.

I'm sick I am coughing and spluttering but nothing in my head - no nasal congestion no headache. I was called into work last night at 11.30 and again this morning but had to knock back both cause of it grrrr. Dr gave me antibiotics as a precaution (but thinjs it viral) so I can go back to work Saturday.

LOL Julia I was just about to ask what IPL was then read yr post again. I bet thats expensive???

Ani you have done VERY well. We were both 73 kg at the same time at one stage and I've managed to GAIN. Very proud of how far you have come. And maintenance I would think at this stage is more important than dropping those couple kg more. Then you know u can handle it and do it. At least while atm u maintain when u actually - and I'm going to swear here - DIET again for that last drop u will prob shed it quickly due to body shock lol.

I have lost a kilo sincew last weigh in but i think that was 3 or 4 weeks ago so nothing dramatic there, but it IS nice to see 77 again instaed of 78. I think scales were 77.3 so I am happy enough with that

Yes, the IPL is expensive - I shelled out $450 last night and that'll pay for 4 sessions. I figure it'll all be worth it in the long run though.

In other news, I seem to have a date on Saturday night. I met a guy last weekend and he's coming to my place on Saturday night to hang out.

Eeeek!!

Julia has a date...... wooohoooo

Gen and barb.. you girls take care of yourselves.. it must be awful to loose a mum.. Mine had cancer when i was 15 we were told by her doctor he didnt work on lost causes and she was gonna die so find a new doctor..

Its horrible you are grieving b4 they are even dead.. in your mind they are gone in your heart they are not but its the worst feeling.. Luckily my mum survived and she is still here today . my aunty though who had the same form of cnacer as my mum inst here and she was alot better off in the begining then my mum was ... she had that doctor that refused to treat my mum and went on a different medication to my mum and died 4 years later just after Cameron was born .

Ani i hope you mate date isn't too painful.. lol you seem to be a bit worried about it.. lol.. are you sure you want to be friends with this women?

Kel off on holidays again... lol .. gosh she is always on holidays.. lol

Vonni i hope your feeling better soon.. thats gotta be the main down side of working with sick people ...

Hubby has gone once agian.. but for the last time.... and i know its the last time becuase we finally bought him a car on the weekend.. we got him a silver 2001 suburu impreza wagon.. its only done 86k and is perfect condition so he is pleased as punch .

I got to actually drive it yesterday lol.. he wanted me to get some roof racks ( you all know by now he's a fisherman) for it so i took it to the shop to make sure i bought the right ones. It has roof rails so all i needed was the clamping type.. and they took me all of 5 minutes to fit but 30 minutes of driving ... lmao..

I have strict instructions to not drivehis car until next thursday .. it will need to be run once a week according to him.. and im not allowed to un til then... apparently he worte down how many k's it has done b4 he left.. ratz....

oh well i love my car anyway.. and i think its much better to drive.. his is a stinky auto.. and im a manual girl.. I like to actually drive a car not just steer and brake ... that being said my car is also a girly colour with pink foot prints on the seat covers a pink flower on the back and is burgendy... lol much more me.. .. and my car is newer then his by about hmmmm 4 months.. lol.

They are both lovely to drive.. .

we took the kids on a few bike rides.. had a few meals out.. played basket ball a few times went to the movies only to find it so packed you couldnt get in the door so went to the video store instead.. lol .. we took the kids to the willife park then the mt lofty summit.. ( leah actually fed a huge emu out of her hand.. i couldnt even go near them.. they would come near me and i would run away and there she was feeding to awful things... lol).

oh and weigh in today too i managed to sqeeze out a 200 grams loss.. lol which im happy with after the amount of food and drink consumed in the past week.. lol

Morning!!!

Just quickly...

- I weighed in at 95.1kg this morning

- I have been eating ok. Not counting carlories, but keeping away from the snacks and the big serves.

- I am injured and have not been able to Wii since Tuesday (that is Wii not wee!!). A run in with a dog on my Junkmail round had me misjudge a curb - done something ouchy to my ankle. Seen a doctor who says it is just a sprain.

- I am pushing myself to keep doing the deliveries. It is something I need and don't want to lose. I need a reason to move and that is my reason. Admittedly it is probably slowing any healing process my ankle is trying to undertake.

- While at the doctors office, had a 'six month post surgery breast check' and found another lump! Here we go again!

Anyway, that is me. I gotta run!!

Have a good one folks!!

So Lindor what's the plan? Do you have to get another biopsy?

I'm now 'crossing the Nullarbor' on my virtual walk - slow and steady!

I've decided to make May a maintenance month. I just want to see how I go with that, and figure out whether I'm ready for it.

Who's watching the finale of The Biggest Loser tonight? I'm excited - I love seeing all the transformations.

Oh gosh Lindor, I hope the lump turns out to be nothing.

I had an interesting weekend ... the guy I'd met ended up coming to visit me at my mate's place on Friday night and we ended up spending most of the weekend together!

He's really nice so I'll look forward to seeing him again really soon

Diet has been pretty good over the weekend and so far today it's looking good. I'm determined to get back on track and that means getting back to the gym as well. Even though my calf still isn't 100% better I need to get back into the gym and do as much of my usual exercises as I can.

I need to stop feeding my grief! I'm turning into a big fat blob! Even though I know that food won't make me feel better why do I always try to fix things with it?
