OK, so 14/15 days on plan. Not going to let the one day wreck me. Back on track today.

Tonight is make your own pizza night. Instead of dough, I am having a whole wheat tortilla.

And my heart hurts.

Ok, maybe TOM didn't show up. Weird. I don't know WTF is going on with my body anymore. All I know is I'm not stepping on that scale tomorrow regardless.

 for Anna and M.

Good morning...TGIF!

The scales smiled for me this morning. It's gonna be a good day.:)

Reminder: shivering burns calories.

:carrot::carrot: And if that's true about shivering I should be down 5lbs.

My constant mantra is as long as I exercise, eat right and the scales don't go up = success.

I am that way with lemon zest. I find it hard to get behind lemon zest nowadays, because I sliced the **** out of my thumb with a freakin' microplane and a lemon. Talk about a painful combination. Good thing there wasn't any salt involved. Get a zester!

You are just rockin'. YES, let's set up a hike! I do remember looking and finding there wasn't a whole lot between us, but I'm sure there are some, maybe around Richmond? Otherwise there are plenty out in Shenandoah if you are looking to take a long trip (which I'm not going to make you do, driving a long time and then hiking is not exactly thrilling). Also let me know what you think your ability level might be, as some of the mountain hikes can be rather strenuous since you climb like a vertical mile and a half. Jealous.

Eating has SUCKED the past three days. Too much sugar, too much sodium, too much CRAP. I feel like I regained 5lbs. TOM showed his smiling face this morning, giving me something to blame, though I need to take responsibility for it too. Either way I am staying off the scale at my meeting tomorrow morning and going to have to take a pass this week. No way am I getting on a scale on day 2 of the cycle. That is just evil. Scales are stupid, being a girl sucks sometimes. I'm with you on sodium - I've been having too much lately myself.

I'm sorry. I know you're having a tough time right now. Please try to remember, she's happy and well loved. Live in the moment.

Probably stress. I didn't have TOM for 6 weeks of basic training and another 8 weeks of speciality training.....3 1/2 months.

So I'm down another 2.2 lbs! :D

And if the day could get any better . . . I got a call from the owner of the photography studio and . . .

I GOT THE JOB!!

I'm beyond thrilled. Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to tell my boss. :( That's something I'm not looking forward too. But besides that I'm really excited! This job is a dream job for me and I feel really lucky to be given the chance to do something I love. :D

:cb::dance:Awesome :) . Congratulations!!!! Keep it simple with the current boss. I'm sure he'll understand. You probably have to give 2 weeks notice? My last job had an exit interview where you can let them know what was good and bad about your position/company etc. Not everyone does that. So, if you want, you can tactfully let them know what could have been better. And let them know no matter what you are not returning cuz you found your dream job :D .

You do need more fiber. I should go see what mine looks like.

I GOT THE JOB!!

Congrats on the weigh in and on the exciting career change. We knew you would get it.

I need to get everyone in the house off sugar. I told DH I was not buying Little Debbie's anymore. He wasn't happy. We compromised with me making more desserts. I don't bake that often. Maybe something every few months. I am willing to start making more but it will be on my terms. He doesn't know that part yet. I made a small batch of chocolate chip cookies for in his lunches this weekend. I need to find things he likes that I don't. I haven't had a problem not eating the LD's but those damn cookies just jumped into my mouth. WAY to many of them. Add that to the binge on couscous and today's calories are probably through the roof. I need to journal obviously.

ETA - Calories weren't as bad as I expected them to be. Still over but no where near as bad as my old binges used to be.

January averages - 1st through 16th

Calories - 1819

Fat - 58g - 15.06%
Carbs - 267g - 69.35%
Protein - 60g - 15.58%

Fiber - 34g
Sodium - 2838mg

I feel like I am carb heavy. But I like where my fat and protein are.

pintobean 01-16-2009 08:02 PM

I made a boo boo by eating a slice of cake earlier this morning at work. I guess my brain was numb from all the cold outside. Usually, I'm able to resist the temptation at work but I don't know what happened this morning...I barely paused to think. Bad eating must have been in the air. Anyhoo, not trying to dwell on it too much. I made sure I ate well at dinner - a cup of carrot ginger soup and salad - and managed to stay below the calories. I just hope I didn't do too much damage.

I'm too it seems when I looked at my numbers. And my protein is low. Hmm...need to increase it a little bit. Fat and cholesterol is low which is good.

GirlyGirlSebas 01-17-2009 08:43 AM

Jen - Congratulations! I'm so excited for you.

Billie- Little Debbies are evil.

Today, I'm headed to the museum with the brownie troop. I'm having a scrambled egg and a piece of ww toast. I'll drop a clementine in my pocket for a snack and I should be golden until we get home. I hope they aren't planning a stop at the golden arches. Sitting there with my diet coke will be so much fun.
