Friggety fook! I just wrote a huge long, lovely post and the gremlins swallowed it. Feck!

Lindor, love ya, keep checking in so we can give you a boost. And listen to Chief Ani - she's a wise, wise woman! Call and ask to be on the cancellation list, and cry to the receptionist and ask for a sooner appointment. I bet they can see you sooner. hugs.

in case everyone else was disgusted at my coffin comment too i am sorry i should have thought before saying it - i forget sometimes that things i say can offend and have sent lindor a pm to apologise (honestly my last intention is to isolate, offend or scare people from saying their true feelings)

but saying that - if we all were allowed to sit there and think oh well i am going to die so there is no use losing weight then where would we be?

Cancellations lists are great. But then as it's a distance you would have to be able to drop everything and fly out at a moments notice, but then with the internet bookings sites last minute flights would be no prob. Jus NOW make sure you have given work prior warning you may drop and run. And yr pets organised etc....

Lindor im sorry about your health worries.. Ani is 100% on looking after yourself.. while you wait.. i would be on the phone crying too .. try anything to get in sooner..

Im glad your first scan is not troublesome.. that is a good start.... Do your best to think of the good scan and not worry too much if you can..

I do agree however if it was somehting nasty you would been in as quick as can be..

My mum had breast cancer when i was a teen she had the lump for 4 years b4 she went to the doctor.. and when the lump was massive ( sticking out the side of her boob ) she finally went to the doctors about it .. it was cancer the doctor she saw first told her to find another doctor becuase he didnt work on lost causes.. ( *** hole) so she saw his partner the next day .. that very same day the booked her in for surgery .. she came home shaved her legs and went to the hospital.. she had a masecotmomy and they removed the lymphy nodes under her arm.. half of which were infected.. had 6 months of chemo... and she is still here .. 15 years later.. no problems.

I dont know if telling you about my mum helps at all.. but she had it 4 years before she went to a doctor.. so even if it is that november might be ok..

Well personally though i would be a mess if i had to wait that long.. could you ring around another clinic?? ..

sorry and a great big hug for you

rememeber we are here for you..

Crap!! Now I wish I hadn't said anything.

Thanx for all the kind words and all the advice.

The appointment date only came through yesterday, I guess I just wanted to vent my frustrations.

I have done a lot of Googling about this...first with the lump, then the nipple discharge. Getting breast cancer at my age is not very common...most common causes of breast lumps at my age are Fibroadenomas, which is what my initial results are. And it is not unusual to experience discharge associated with them. The brown discharge could also be a result of the FNA - post-procedural - old blood.

But, then you think of the likes of Belinda Emmett, she was born in the same year I was!! And Jane McGrath...her battle started in her early 30's!

Anyway, gotta stop now! Only because I gotta get back to work!

Again...thank you all for the kind replies! And that 'thanx' extends to you too Kel! I've come to know your personality over the time here.

Lindor it's great to hear you sounding a bit more positive I'm sure you'll get through this mate.

Kel, you say you're waiting for something to change but you've got to know that nothing will change unless you make it change. You're not going to lose weight if you don't make any effort. It took me a long time to figure that out but when I finally did it was quite a revelation!

I had a very bad but pleasurable day yesterday in terms of my food. I was good all day but last night I didn't have dinner and instead, I cracked open a bottle of wine and over the course of the evening drank the whole thing and nibbled on pate and cheese with crackers, pickles, ham and a couple of weight watchers ice creams. Didn't go walking either. Oops!

However, one day off track is okay and I'm back on form today. Went to the gym this morning and did 25 minutes walking followed by half an hour of weights circuit with my trainer.

Goal for the rest of the day is to stick to my points!

Weighed in this morning, and I lost 0.3kg this week - and that means I have now lost THIRTY kilos .

Time for me to get to work on my new challenge - to lose the next 5kg. I don't know how long it will take but I am going to set myself a 'Spring Challenge' and try to lose at least 3kg by the end of November.

This week's goal is to try and get to 74.7kg by next Friday's weigh-in. I am working 6.30am - 2.30pm next week, so meal routines will be completely opposite this weeks but I am feeling good about my motivation at the moment.

Lindor we're all here if you need some support, or just want us to listen.

Kel you don't want to keep gaining weight do you? I worry about you, because I would love to see you back under 90kg and feeling happier about everything.

I am so happy it is Friday. My body HURTS from all the lifting and heavy work I have done this week, especially my shoulders and wrists.

This weekend I am going to make a vegetable garden and a shadehouse. I'm sick of paying $6/kg for tomatoes, so I'm going to grow a few things of my own. Honestly! I called in at the supermarket the other day and apples were $6.99/kg, while a big packet of chips was $1.99. That really sh!ts me because it's difficult to eat healthy when you have a budget of $70/week for food. Grrr!!!

Firstly I have to say a huge CONGRATULATIONS to Ani. You truly are an inspiration.

You ladies are so lucky to have veggie patches! I'd love to have a veggie garden but in my tiny flat that's not possible unfortunately. Ani I totally agree with you on the price of fresh food being ridiculous when compared with the cost of junk.

I'm very broke at the moment, I have $20 to last me until Tuesday and I need to buy my lunch today (Subway sub of the day $3.90!) and buy some meat and veggies to see me through the next 3 days. Roll on payday.
