  • Ok, Mindy, I guess a little more competition is good for me. I think you've lit a fire under my butt with your amazing loss this week. You totally deserve it!!!! You have been (literally) working your *** off! I am so proud of you!

So, due to Mindy "encouraging" me to step up my game, I did 25 minutes of circuit training tonight and 20 minutes on the treadmill with a pretty good incline. My legs are kind of jello-y, but it feels good--I've needed to get back on the wagon for a couple weeks now. I think it had been about three weeks since I had done any circuit training, and I couldn't believe how much more difficult it was. But, I am back on track!!!! I am going forward strong and I will continue.

As far as food goes, I went a little over on my calories today (like 100 over) due to a baby shower. That little piece of cake blew it for me. Hopefully the extra workout time can help make up for it.

Have a great rest of the weekend everyone!
  • Hi Ladies,

The blizzard is over (they are calling it a blizzard!). We have a total of 14 inches of snow on the ground.

I did a bit of shoveling with my hubby today. Good thing to because I have snacked like crazy. I don't even know what I ate because I didn't keep track. I was totally out of control.

So, just a little bit ago I threw the snacks that tempt me out, went and took a bath and vowed to be back on track that minute and to come and post so I can be accountable to the set back.

Tomorrow I'm planning on organizing my home office and my closet if I feel the urge to snack because I'm stuck in the house.

Kelly and Mindy: You are doing so well supporting each other and giving each other competition. Keep up all your hard work.

Wardhog: You are so dedicated to your exercise. I used to be and I'm working my back to that.

I'm going to check out calorie-count.com It's time I started looking at something to show me the numbers. I have used fitday before but am up to using something new.

I'll check in tomorrow and I will be posting my food, because I will be keeping track. No more looking the other way!
  • Hey guys! Do you all hate springing forward as much as I do?

I had an awesome workout - 5 mi jog (1 hr), 30 min on the elliptical, 30 min on the bike. I stayed on my eating plan yesterday and I am on track for today. Weight is up a little today and I am trying not to let it upset me.
  • Hi
Well my daughter is in New York. We spent forever at the airport and then her flight was delayed an hour. But she finally made it. She was at the airport almost 4 hours and her flight only took 1. Crazy. She was so cute, how excited she was. I hope she does well.

Yesterday was kind of tough. We were at the "horse expo" half the day. We bought the materials we need to finish a stall in our barn. Exciting!! It was pretty late getting home and hadn't eaten since 1:00. So we had pizza. I ate too much and didn't get to my daily workout. Gained a bit this morning. Boy you really need to stay on the game all the time.

Wardhog- once again, amazing workouts. You work out so much, maybe you do need more food. Just a thought. Anyway, keep up the hard work.

Susie- Yikes!! What a mess you've got there. I'm glad it didn't come north and hit us. Well ,try to enjoy the chaos that comes with snowstorms. You know I am frequently surprised at just how many calories some foods actually have. I have gone to looking everything up before I even eat it. I don't want any high calorie shocks.

Kelly- I want you there by my side. We are going to be the BL's in June. You know we can do it. As we say almost everday, this is hard. One of the hardest things I've ever done. Just think about the reward at the end when we reach goal.

Gotta go post food and workout today. Get back on that pony, right?
  • Hi,

The snow has ended and we have everything shoveled out and cleaned off and out. We even went to Walmart. EVERYONE was out.

I shoveled snow for about 2 hrs with my hubby. That counts as my exercise today.

I have done much better with the food today. I had regular meals and drank a lot of water. I feel so much better--amazing how not stuffing myself makes me feel better!

I did check out the website for calorie-count.com and I'm going to give it a try. I might have a lot of questions!

Wardhog: It can be really hard to workout so hard, eat on plan and so the scales up a little, but you have a great attitude in not letting it get to you. I'm sure that the next time you weigh you will have more of a loss than you thought you would. That happens to me sometime. Eventually it all evens out.

Mtiger: It can be hard to stay on track when we are out of our routine but I know that the scales will go back down for you in a day or to. And just think...you have a very active weekend..one where you weren't around the house and that's a good thing for you right?

Kelly and Focult: How are you two? Looking forward to your posts.

    Ok..here's my food for today

B=2 scrambled eggs, 1 p of toast w/ butter, water
L= Arbys: 1 ham and cheese melt, curly fry (ok..i had the large. ), water
    Snack=Hand full of Whoopers
D=1/2 cup of mashed potatos, cooked carrots and green beans, 1/4 cup of macc. salad, 1 roll, water
    Exercise=Snow shoveling for 2 hours.
  • Hey guys! This morning I did 23 min on the treadmill (2 mi), Group Power class, and 27 min on the elliptical. I did my pre-flu amount of weights, so I am happy. I stuck to my eating plan yesterday and I am on track for today. Unfortunately the scale continues to move in the wrong direction. But what choice do I have but to continue to exercise and stay OP? I feel like eating crap, but then I would gain more!

Mychoice, way to climb right back on the wagon. Good job!

Mindy, I know you are back OP today, too.

I hope everyone's having a good day! My kids are out of school today for some reason, but I am taking them for a playdate. Yay, a couple of free hours!
  • Hey
So my 223.5 was a fluke because it was right back on the next day. That's ok. I lost .5 today and feel good about eating and working out. I know TOM is coming very soon, so that always messes things up a bit. If I can maintain I will be happy.

Wardhog- there you are again working your butt off. You go girl!
Susie- we will be more than happy to help you out with caloriecount. I think I have it just about figured out.
Kelly- good working out today. Yeah on the new pants. Check out that smaller size. You might be surprised.

Had to take a nap yesterday to make up for my hour lost. Hey, it is almost spring like here today. Yeah!! Maybe it is really coming.

    Check with you all tom.
  • Hi everyone! I am kind of stuck this week (TOM), so I'm not expecting much of a weight loss. Working out more feels so much better!!! I never thought the aching muscles could feel so good, but it does. Something else that feels good is the way everyone I see tells me how good I am looking. Even though I have a ton more to lose, it still feels good that people can see the difference, even though I don't see it so much.

Wardhog-I know how you feel about those couple free hours. I never ever get two hours to myself until summer time when my kids go to daycare 1 day a week and I am home for the summer. I have to jam pack everything into one day! Also, good job staying on plan. It is so easy to eat crappy and pay for it later.

Mychoice--I chuckled when I read about your large curly fries. (They are so good, aren't they?!) I had a small fry at Wendy's last weekend with my dad and I just about died when I came home and looked up the calorie content to write it down. A small fry had 410 calories!!! I vowed to never eat fries again. I felt like I couldn't eat anything else the whole rest of the day. Good for you for doing so much shoveling. That really burns a ton of calories!

Ok, going to finish watching a movie with my husband. Talk to everyone later!
  • Mmmm ... fries. I haven't had them in forever!

Today I had a great workout! 10 min mile to warm up, Group Ride class, 21 min on the stair climber and 21 min on the elliptical. I am on the endorphin high right now,and I'll be wanting to crash around 2pm when it's time to go get my son from school. LOL I stayed on my eating plan yesterday and I am on track today.
  • Hi,

Just a quick check-in. My day at work yesterday and today have been busy..I hope to check in tonight at home.

I'm on track and doing ok. Well..except the fries...I may never eat them again..410 calories for a small. YIKES!!

I'll talk to you all later on tonight.
  • Hi
Well this week is going to be a bust. Only up just a little, but waiting for TOM. I know I can lose after that finishes up. I have done well just maintaining this week. Last month Kelly and I won BL the week after TOM, so maybe we can again.

My daughter is having a blast in NY. She did well in her performances. She was happy. I get to go pick her up at the airport tom. I'm sure she will be talking a mile a minute.

Well I have some chores to do, then my workout before my tv shows tonight.
    Talk to you all tom.
  • My choice--so sorry about the fries. I truly didn't mean to spoil them forever. Although I kind of spoiled them for myself, too, didn't I ???

I'm on track today with my eating, and I plan to do some circuit training tonight while I watch the biggest loser. No poundage lost so far this week. (Damn you TOM)
  • Well, last week I was feeling down because it was taking so long to get over the flu, but this week I have had some really great workouts. It feels so good! Today I did the 8:30 Group Ride and then the 9:30 Group Power. It's always a challenge to do these back to back, but I made it, heavy weights and all. I stayed on my eating plan yesterday and I am on track for today. My husband is out of town again, but I am down a little (147.4 this morning), so I'm not even tempted to go off plan.

I hope everyone is having a great day!
  • Hi
Well I picked my daughter up from the airport today. She had fun but is disappointed with the results she got in NY. It breaks my heart. I want her to do well and be happy. I know theatre is a super tough gig, I just don't want her getting so disappointed that she just gives up. Tonight she is more upbeat about it. She says that's still what she wants to do. I think being in NY around theatre "stuff" gave her a good shot in the arm.

Wardhog- we can always count on you as the workhorse of the group. You must be an early riser. You get up, workout, post, all before noon. Awesome. I am working on convincing myself to go work out after posting. I just don't feel like it tonight.

Tom. is BL weigh-in. I'm sure I'll be the same. No TOM yet to get any results.
I think Kelly is in the exact same boat.

Where is everybody else today? Foucault- you are MIA again. Come back to us.
  • Mindy and Kelly, I hope you are happy with your weigh-ins today despite that TOM.

Mindy, I stay home with my kids, so it's easier for me to get up and go to the gym in the morning. I get up around 6:30 so that I can get my daughter on the bus by 7:30. My son's pre-school starts at 9:15 so after that I am off to the gym.

I had a good workout this morning - ran a 10 min mi to warm up, did Group Ride, then 21 min on the stair climber and 21 min on the elliptical. My HR monitor says I burned 1137 calories. I stayed on my eating plan yesterday and I am on track for today. I was down to 147 this morning, and my weigh-in is tomorrow. I generally weigh every day, but record the number on Friday.

I hope you girls are having a good day!
