Hey Red - that is awesome! I am sure you will do a great job with your challenges while you are gone. Where are you going in the states??

DJ, I can't wait for my real vacation. I can't believe I am doing it.

well, I just did my crunches and push ups, so all challenges were met for today. I even am kind of proud of myself. My menu called for a freebee day today. I was not a martyr, but did show some restraint at my niece and nephew's birthday party. And, when I got home tonight, I did not soothe my "long car ride and multiple work issue" stress with anything I should be ashamed of.

Hurray for today! Have a good night all

Jolly -- Great work on your challenges and NOT overdoing it when you took off and NOT soothing the stress with nonmentionables! Bravo for you! I'll be in Ohio and Pennsylvania, back home in Pittsburgh. The States will be like a new thing to me I'm thinking. Let's see how I fare!

Just poppin' in to wish you safe travels Red. Enjoy your vacation. I'll wave to you from down south! Just had a nice week long visit with Shad. I made sure she stayed on the up and up

Have a good time on your cruise too Jolly - can't remember you ever having a vacation so you are long over due for some fun.

I am here and back on track with a couple of changes

Will be starting again

Hope you are all doing great and had a good weekend as well

Wondersha - no crawling. Just hop back on the wagon - we are all pulling you back up. You can make better choices, I know it

Hey Happy It's great to hear from you. You are right. My family was never big on vacations. We rented a cabin one summer. I took a couple trips with church and high school. A lot of hobbying vacations to dog or horse shows. But the first "real" vacation I took was in February to Vegas for my brother's wedding. That is what made me realize the benefits of taking one.

Red, if you are getting a chance to read, thinking of you, and hope you are having a wonderful vacation.

Day 17, daily posting - 3 pauses left
Day 7, following menu AND following workout plan - 3 pauses left
Day 2, daily crunch and pushups - 3 pauses left. Did them after my first post.

Feeling good here. Actually reaching for the fresh stuff. I really do need to figure out how to stop the grazing at work though. Even if it is healthier choices, I want to stop the mindless eating.

I also have come to a huge decision. Throwing aside all reason, common sense, and sanity, I am going to try to get into law school. Wish me luck.

have a great night all.

OK. It is now almost 3 hours after I originally posted. I can't sleep. Part of it is that it is hot. I can't sleep when it is hot. Most of it though, is that my brain can't shut down about grad school. I bought two LSAT prep books on Amazon. I just can't settle down and sleep, no matter how much yawning I do. Yikes. I will be a wreck tomorrow, that's for sure.

Start over - Put fork/spoon down between each bite 90% of the time
Day 19 - Half of my dinner plate is filled with vegies which I will eat first - (this is dinner only) - good - 1 pause left
Day 18 & 19 - Exercise 30 minutes everyday - good - 3 pauses left

Yep, starting over on the utensil challenge and took a pause on the 1/2 plate of vegies challenge.

Wondersha - I agree with Jolly, no crawling back! I don't know how many challenges I have blown, I just know that in the long run, I'm making progress.

Jolly - Wow, when you have news, you make it big don't you?!?! I think it sounds great! I think that common sense says that if you have a dream, go for it. It would be insane not to!

Have a great day all!

Hello everyone!
Red, if you haven't left yet, hope you have a great trip, and congrats on finishing your challenge!
As usual, I haven't been able to stick to my challenges. And with DH going in for his other hip surgery, it will be hard to do any....lame lame I know. I will start an exercise challenge. Actually, I have already started one, I went to the gym today and that makes day 2 done. 2 pauses allowed.
I have to run, hopefully I can touch base with everyone later!

Hello DJ and Apple. Apple, I hope hubby's surgery goes well. DJ, thanks.

I made my posting challenge for the day (Hi ) and my following menu. Had to take a pause on the soda, crunch, and workout challenge. Mainly due to not sleeping last night, then adding a 15 hour, would somebody PLEASE help my suicidal day on top of it. Here's to tomorrow.

Have to let out my pup and get to bed. Night all.

Hi all. Don't have anything better to report today. I was overtired, and made bad choices. So, I paused on my workout - again, and had to take a pause on my eating plan. I will complete the workout challenge without starting over though.

So, here's how it stands:
Daily post, day 19 - 3 pauses left
Follow workout plan, day 7 - 1 pause left
Follow menu, day 8 - 2 pauses left
Daily crunch/pushup, day 2 - 2 pauses left.

Take care all

Day 0 - Put fork/spoon down between each bite 90% of the time
Finished - Half of my dinner plate is filled with vegies which I will eat first - (this is dinner only) - good - 1 pause left
Finished - Exercise 30 minutes everyday - good - 3 pauses left

Well, finished 2 but never started the other one. Yesterday was just one of "those" days. Stressed out and made bad choices. Had way too many calories, but did workout and eat my vegies!

I'll announce my new challenges soon. Still thinking.

Apple - Good job with the challenge! Hope the husband is doing well.

Jolly - Glad the workout challenge is still on track! Hope you have a better day today.
