That was a big battle for me too. Somehow I've learned to take things one day at a time and not allow one bad day to turn into a bad week. One slip up doesn't end up as an excuse for overindulging for the rest of the week. One slip up does not a failure make!!

Ooh cool Ani, my electric wok is my favourite thing in the kitchen haha. I would have starved when I lived out of home without it! You don't have to learn to "cook", you just have to learn to chop things up and chuck em in!

Gotta love the internet: http://abcnews.go.com/GMA/BeautySecr...3945436&page=1

Great article Gen :) I certainly think that having this website to come to has helped me enormously on my weight loss journey.

Ani, i agree with Gen, wok cooking is great - just chuck in whatever you have on hand and voila ... a stirfry is born!

I've just been to the physio and as I suspected, I've damaged a muscle in my back so just need to keep doing what I've been doing - heat, massage, stretching, exercising.

Hope it gets better soon.

i suck
86.7kg
that is a G A I N of 800grams
ho hum
better luck next week..... going to have a little think about what i ate, i do remember kfc and i do remember apple pie and whipped cream, tuna mornay but 2 salads for lunches at least..... so will tweak it again next week and keep the water and walking up

it is hot, humid and muggy here - gross

LittleKiwi 12-06-2007 02:47 PM

That's a shame about your weigh in Kel. I know it's hard but try not to let it get you down. You'll have to stay away from the KFC and the apple pie next week!

I hit the gym again last night and did a 40 minute walk. I'm really surprised at how good I'm feeling at the end of my first week of working 2 jobs every day. I'm not feeling too tired and am feeling a lot better for not sitting around snacking all night.

That said, i'm so glad it's Friday! Working in the office from 9:30 - 1pm and then I'm free as a bird. I'm looking forward to having the chance to relax and also to have a sleep in on Sunday :D

Keep on truckin ladies :cheer2:

:twirly:

hehehe vonni i did that with jemima and benji and my brother SO funny, my sister in law did her baby who has no hair looked very scary.....

PerthChick 12-06-2007 06:09 PM

Vonni that's very cute :)

Kel, when I read 'KFC' and 'gained weight' in the same sentence I can't pretend to be surprised. Last time I ate KFC I threw most of it out - couldn't believe how greasy it was.

I'm having a strange week. I just can't seem to get my head around the fact that I'm getting close to 80kg… and for reasons I don't know much about, I'm starting to lose some self-belief.

I'm eating on plan, but haven't been exercising or drinking enough water. It doesn't help that the weather here has been really cold!

I'm also not looking forward to my housemate having her partner here for the weekend.

Today I'm going to go out for a few hours, maybe wander around a shopping centre or something. And then I'm going to do domestics. I figure that if I clean up the house and remove some of the junk I might clear my own head space.

Still hoping to have a weight drop on Monday - but I'm going to have to work on ALL my goals if I'm going to achieve that!

:)
Ani

i refuse to believe ONE meal of kfc could have caused me to gain weight, i did do a good job of my one meal but there must be more to it... perhaps the popcorn at the movies..... now i'm grasping at straws

QUESTION - have you guys told most people in your world that you are losing weight?? IF so and they give you CHOCOLATE etc for xmas do you think that person is a friend or not?

~Cherie~ 12-07-2007 05:10 AM

Hi girls. Just popping my head in here (thanks for pointing me in this direction Ani). It will be nice to have somewhere that I can natter on about kgs instead of lbs and not have to convert the whole time.

I'm Cherie, SAHM to one little boy, due to go back to work in early Feb, and since we had a recent IVF failure, I've decided that I need to lose all my excess weight before starting any more fertility treatment.

I'm currently either 105.6 kgs (home scales) or 98.4 kgs (gym scales). My goal is 68 kgs - so far elusive - but I'm sure I'll get there.

Hope everyone is enjoying the start to their weekend.

pacman12 12-07-2007 06:37 AM

Welcome Cheri - my start weight was exactly 105.6kg as well!

smylie 12-07-2007 07:17 AM

woooooooow cherie get some new scales!!!! that difference is huge! (the scales at my gym make me about 1.1kg heavier than home scales)
but i guess a kilo lost is a kilo lost and the actual number doesnt matter......
welcome!!
where in australia are you?
how old is your little boy?
what are you doing to lose weight?

barbegirl71 12-07-2007 09:13 PM

I'm up 1.98lb's (900g) :censored: I'm in a foul mood :bomb: I've got nothing nice to say so I won't say anything at all today.

Down 900g for me this week: 90.7. Damn it's taking a long time to undo the kilos from my conference trip - why is it so easy to go on and so hard to get off? LOL. I am happy with the 900g though - I've only been half-arsed this week.
