Kel, totally up to you, but gains are part of the journey. If you're doing this for the rest of your life, you won't lose every week! Personally I find that gains make me more determined, but you'll know yourself best.

For me, weighing in when I don't track reminds me what works - and what doesn't! Gives me the motivation to track the following week!

I only had 2-3hrs sleep last night, but I got up for training at 0530, so I feel pretty happy with that! Only one more session left with my trainer - eek!

Had a lunch with a bunch of colleagues from my old job - it was lovely. I had grilled fish and salad.

I got my first tattoo after my mother passed away. I had a single butterfly. It symbolised "freedom of the soul". She was very sick for a long time. WHen she died she was set free. I had it added to when my stepfather passed on with another butterfly.

The 3 flowers on my "arm band" are for me and my 2 sisters.

The large butterfly on my lower back is just because I love butterflies and I feel connected to them somehow. (Does that make sense?)

All can be covered. lol. I respect that some people are offended by them and I am pretty tactful in picking and choosing when to cover up.

Kel, weigh in, I didnt one week and it all went downhill from there.

Be back shortly to post proper, have some study to do - Infection Control and Med terminology. It's like going back to school learning prefixes and suffixes etc... But harder.

C ya

i am going to weigh in.... you are all right..... it is part of the journey and it will make sure i get back on or stay on track......... ho hum

i agree with being able to cover up tatts, both mine are coveruppaeralble and i like that but these jeans i'm wearing at the moment show off the ladybug i have on my hip and i am not sure what the oldies at the nursing home i visit think.... if they have even noticed........ hehehe
talking about infection control i cant go visit the oldies this week they are in lockdown coz some of them have some stomach virus.... i guess that is not infection but they are all contagious.... its a pity coz they have been speculating on jemimas teeth for weeks and now she has TWO i cant go and show them she got them finally (finally for them but early for everyone else i talk to)
still thinking a fairy tattoo would be nice and have heaps of flower fairy pictures just not sure.......... still have new kitchen decision to make first.....
ho hum (one choice gives me more bench, one choice gives me more usable cupboard)

I vote bench. You can squish stuff into available cupboards, but you use the bench every day and I love me some bench space.

Morning ladies

Last night all I wanted to do was go home and have a binge session. I was feeling so sick of all this dieting and control. However, I went to the gym and did my weights and 40 minutes walking and had a healthy dinner when I got home.

This morning, I do believe I got my reward. I wear a uniform at work and I have 3 skirts, all the same style but 2 are a size 18 and one is a size 20. Today I'm wearing the 20 and it's so loose that I can almost take it off without undoing the zip. Sooo, I tried on someone's spare size 16 and it almost fit

It was definitely too tight but it did do up around me and I couldn't believe it!!! It's things like that that make all this effort worthwhile.

Last night I had the most delicious dinner - baked salmon and couscous with lots of lovely veggies in it.

I forget if I've already said it here but my latest food that I'm loving is bok choi. It's really delicious and I'm going through lots of it. Yum Yum.

i was the same.... yippeeeeeeee no change is better than the gain i was freakin out about.... so 89kg still..... if i had hit 90 again there would have been tears.............

julia just think so so soon you can go shopping in ANY shop and not have to think about sizes!

the kitchen thing is not quite as simple as bench space vs cupboard it is either going to be a little u shape which mean using the dishwasher and cupboards will be awkward and the 'dining room' i create by havng a u shape could be pokey OR i go for an L shape and that mean i miss out on a little of the bench space but the dishwasher and drawers will be easy to open and the 'dining room' or space for a table could work better......... i never usually have this much trouble making a decision....

friend HAD to buy me a cupcake today, she didnt have cash and min buy was $10 so i'm already sitting down hoeing into a scone with jam and cream and she brings over her own scone and two cupcakes so i couldnt say no (she really would have felt stupid if i had) so now i dont feel like lunch but i want lunchi want something freash and crisp oh well.................

what kind of things are you bok choeing? i only every had it in stirfrys..?

Good on you for weighing in and congrats on staying the same. I can't imagine weighing under 90! Here's hoping it happens soon.

Stirfry's are pretty much all I'm doing with the bok choi. Put it finely chopped in my couscous and that was nice. Another thing I've been doing is cooking diced pumpkin and using that as a base for stir fries instead of rice as pumpkin is points free so I can have more meat and add sauces and nuts etc to what I'm cooking.

My couscous last night was so yummy that I think I shall have the same tonight.

I only have 2 days left with my fridge until the buyer picks it up!! Not sure what I'll eat until I move! Got my telly picked up tonight, so I'm onto my little spare set. Computer desk gets picked up Sat morning, washing machine and fridge on Sunday. Slowly getting rid of stuff!

Having my 1hr massage and 1hr facial at Jurlique day spa tomorrow that my work gave me a voucher for when I left. Yay!

Oh Gen, 2 hours of pampering sounds like heaven! You'll have a lovely time

It's been lovely and warm here over the past couple of days and the forecast for today is 18 degrees. I've been wearing so many layers over the past few months and have been sticking to the wool cardigan that is part of our work uniform that I haven't put on my jacket in ages.

This morning I decided that as it's going to be a nice day, I'd wear my jacket and when I put it on, it didn't fit. It's way too big!

It's a size 20 and I tried one of the other girls jacket on when I got to work and it fit perfectly ...... it's a size 16!

I can't believe it. I'm so proud of myself and it's really reinforced that this is worth the effort.

I'll be going to the gym tonight with a spring in my step.

hey belle
welcome i am kinda new here too, kinda i guess i've been here for 10 pages or so and these chicks are awesome.... we are all real people here and have so much more going on then just losing weight which is why it is so hard and why we need the support.

i am needing it big time at the moment i have in my mind plataued but i know when i am honest to myself that i have stopped TRYING and am just BEING does that make sense?

i realised today that the first time i lost weight i lost 9.5kg SO close to 10kg and then the next time i lost weight i lost 14.5kg SO close to 15kg its not funny and just now i have lost 4.5kg so so so so close to 5kg and on the way to big wonderful things.....................
seems when i get close i get cocky and i think i can do it by myself and i fail miserably, although this time i know i still have 15kg to go but felt so good about a couple of good loses i think i am doing the getting cocky thing again but so far have not put on so have not failed.............. grrrrrr

when do you leave gen?

Hi all I am still alive and kicking. Well my first day of videolinq went well. Cept to say that we in our conference room forgot that we were the last to speak to the other site so they could still see us on their TV and we were being twits nodding our heads in agreement like nigels. Our teacher laughed and said "Yes girls we can see u nodding away. You're still on our screen." How embarrassing. We won't be forgetting again needless to say.

Welcome to Belle. I am not to far from you and I also am 34. I've been hanging around here since about Feb/Mar I think. I dunno I lost track.

These guys are a great bunch and can pick u up when yr feeling down or just give little words of wisdom. And it is all appreciated and all taken on board. We are all pretty strong opinionators and amazingly we don't clash.

Julia how excited you must feel. Yr clothes are getting bigger and you are shrinking. I'm excited for you to lol.

Yes a virus is still infection. It just infects you in a different way. A virus is mainly airborne. So you are doing ok to stay away. And right to keep little Jemima away too. Her teeth will still be there I'm sure when the oldies get better. Heres hoping it's soon.

OK as for me, I'm NOT doing so good this week. Eating eating eating chippees and chocolate again. I don't know what the heck I am doing. But..... Here's hoping I get out of the rut soon. I'm just not in the right frame of mind at the moment to 'think' to hard about it.

Gotta fly do some study. C u all soon.

Ani??? Where are u mate?

I'm moving on Friday now - ended up deciding to have a backloader take my boxes, ironing board and bike to Melbourne for me so I don't have to worry about stuffing my car full and fitting everything in. only 200 something bucks, so worth it. I have this huge old heavy ironing board on wheels, it rocks and you can't buy them like that anymore, so my mum can mind it till I get back.

Just have to get the floors cleared before 12pm tomorrow when the carpet cleaners get here - and then not get them dirty again!! Cross your fingers the red cordial stain comes out... doh
