thanks ladies for the words of encouragement. things will tight money wise around here for a little bit, but thankfully we have plenty of diapers for Marissa, and we have some for the boys. If we need any for the boys, it would just mean making a trip up to my parents house since she has tons of the size that they wear.

Congratulations Grandma Jane!!! I can't wait to see a pic of him!

Marti~ Let me see if I can find a bigger or better picture of her for you to see. I could of swore that I posted some pics on the last thread of her but it could just be the sleeplessness catching up to me.

hello to every one else....how are you all doing? I am trying to make this quick so that I can hopefully get some sleep tonight.....not counting on getting much since Marissa likes to eat every two hours on the dot unless she had a bottle at her last feeding, then it is every four hours. she is doing great, she is only getting a bottle or two during the day...all the other times she is hooked to Mommy's diner.

Good afternoon ladies!

I have today off and I do have some things that need to be done, but I'm totally taking my time getting ready to go do them! I'm still in my sweats and slippers.

Tammy--Hope you had a blast at your dance night! What fun. I've never been to any dance beside school dances back in highschool....I wasn't very good then either so thankfully, they always kept the light down low. Don't be discouraged if the scale isn't moving. You say it hasn't gone up...so it's really a good thing. Maybe revamp the things you do or eat to help get over that plateau.

Jane--Hurray Jackson is here!!! So happy for you and Terry & Gina! Take your time and enjoy that little boy....come back when ever you feel ready. Hugs!

PinkJane--My hubby was a trucker before he started working for the railroad. What is up w/the boys working at such jobs that takes them away from us??

Sue--I SO need to wash my windows in this house. The front window is the size of the whole wall. It's a beautiful window and I love it....but the thought of having to wash it....

Jodi--How are you doing? Come back to chat more when you can.

Mindee--I went back to the other thread and didn't see any photos.....so I'm just going to sit back and wait for ya. From what I can see though....she's a beauty!

Cristina--Hello! Come back when you have more time.

Hello to all the other gals out there.

Ok...I think I should really get myself out and busy doing things so I can use the rest of the day to do NOTHING. Great plan isn't it??

Have a great day ladies.

Hello Ladies!!

I was allowed to go on-call today because we only had two pediatric patients. Lucky for me cause I am going to a beach festival this weekend. I only live about 2 hr from the coast and each year Ocean City has a Springfest to kick off the season and then a Sunfest in late Sept to end the summer season. It's a huge affair with crafts, entertainment and, of course, food. We have friends who have a vacation home there. Being off today has allowed me to pack my things, run to Kohls and do some laundry. I'm waiting for the phone to ring any moment saying I have to do the last four hours of my shift from 3-7. It won't be a biggie if I do have to go in to work. I already have everything done.

To answer the dance questions. I do country line dancing. But it's not only country. Last night we learned a salsa dance and we do a lot of latino, irish and light rock. It used to be all country but people started choreographing popular songs to dances and it has taken off. We still do country, couple dancing, swing, two-step etc. I was never a very good dancer but this I love. Some of the dances you would swear you were doing aerobics!! It's a great form of exercise. I met my hubby there and the rest is history. While we both have other hobbies and interest, this is something that we do together every week. We even been on two dance cruises to the Bahamas!!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. I know that I will!!

Good Evening ladies..

I just got finished walking. Gotta get myself used to doing that again. I'll thank myself later when I'm down a few more pounds and feeling loads better.

Tammy--I think any kind of dancing would be considered great aerobic exercises! I think all we got around here are clubs and I'm just getting too old for that kind of thing. And what a great bonus meeting your hubby there!!

How is everyone else doing? Hope you've got better weather than we do here. It's pouring down.....suppose to clear up by Saturday. I don't mind snuggling on the couch w/the pups though so what ever it decides to do.

Ok....I'm going to clean up a bit and give DD a call.

Have a great night and I'll chat more tomorrow.

Hugs to you all!

Quickie here...I am pooped tonight. This landscaping is getting me down. But, it is looking good, so I will just keep my dragging butt working and it will be done one day soon. LOL. Took Mom to the Dr. and to get meds. at Wal Mart..then off to Home Depot looking for a certain shrub. After coming home and then going 2 other places...finally found a flowering almond. Bought lots of ornamental grasses, 2 almonds, jasmine and some annuals. We got all but 2 things planted. Now if DH gets some river rock tomorrow the front of the porch and the back bird feeding area will be done. As soon as everything takes off and/or blooms I will take photos.

Hi to everyone...be back tomorrow. I have an 8:30 dental appt. for a filling repair...ugh. I think the rest of the day is free...but will probably get roped in to unloading rocks. Hope to go buy a couple trees...if DH is ready to plant them. expected...so we will see.

Hello everyone!

Well, the sleepless nights will be around here for sure now! Brandon woke up with his croupy sounding cough tonight. So, right now he is sleeping on the couch, which looks like where I will be sleeping. That way I know that Tommy is guaranteed to get some sleep in order to go to work feeling somewhat replenished. Then after Brandon woke up and came out onto the couch, I heard Logan coughing from in their bedroom. So, if the coughs are still around on Friday evening then it will probably off to the prompt care we go. Then probably to Wal-Mart to get any prescriptions that they need filled. Either way, we will have to make it to Wal-Mart since I just called in my refill on my prenatal vitamin.

Marissa is doing great! Brandon and Logan are doing great as well. Thursday was a rough day for all of us. I know Brandon didn’t take a nap, and I am not sure if Logan took one or not. Brandon went into their bedroom and was playing while I was feeding Marissa. All of a sudden I heard a big crashing noise and then he started crying. I laid Marissa in the bassinet and ran into the bedroom. I opened the door and saw the dresser on the ground but couldn’t see him, I could hear him crying but couldn’t see him. I ran to the dresser, and he was caught under the dresser. It was pinning his right arm and shoulder under it, so I picked up the dresser long enough to get him out from under it. I made sure it wasn’t broken or anything, and had him move it for me while I was getting him settled down. Thankfully it isn’t broken or anything, but I did notice some scratches on the left side of his back and arm.

Marti~ Okie dokie….give me a second to figure it out on here and I will get some shots posted, as long as you ladies don’t mind of course!

Tammy~ Back when I was in junior high school, I took a country line dancing class. I was the only one that was young in that class. It helped a lot because my dad’s (and now also Tommy’s) lodge does dinner dances from time to time, so when we would go to them we used to do some of the dances that I learned or one of the other lodge guys taught every one.

Pink Jane~ I was able to get some sleep last night, but tonight might be another story. I am hoping that whatever the boys have, will be something that will be gone soon. I am not sure about Brandon’s croupy cough though. He always seems fine and then boom he goes to bed and it flares up. I am thinking that it also has something to do with his asthma, if not both.

and for your viewing pleasure.....here are some pictures.

Well I did a disappearance act here. :P I was kinda floundering and then I had a family emergency and had to take off to LA for a few days. I'm back on program tho. And I was down .5 a pound. So I'm at my lowest but really not as good as I should've been by now. But I won't beat myself up about it. It's just good with everything that happened that i didn't gain 10 pounds. My daughter had some problems and needed me. So I went down and got it straightened out. Today I must do bookwork and through this weekend too. It's raining here...yuck!

Mindee - CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I'm so excited for you! What a beautiful baby girl. And I came in right towards the end of your stressful job situation...so I'm happy that it turned out the way it did! Hang in there.
And I LOVE those pictures...your boys look so happy to have a baby sister...

Jane - Congrats to YOU too on Jackson! So many babies! Very exciting! I'm glad the baby and mother are healthy!

PinkJane - I am still a taxi too...for 2 of my kids. My 16 yr old does have his license and it's both a hassle and a relief at times. haha..he actually backed into a car at school the other day...so we're now dealing with that issue.

Sue - I know about landscaping.. my DH loves to buy plants and add to our forest in the backyard. We had quite a few die due to frost this winter and had to replace some. But I hear that they might've came back...but hey looked so bad we yanked them out anyway...haha

Sorry If I didn't get a personal note to all of you. I got so far behind. I"ll try to keep up now. I'm just in GREAT need of support. This is the point where I believe normally I would go off and back to my OLD ways and regain all the weight i've lost back again. So don't want that to happen. :P I really need to check in and weigh in weekly....JODIE...haha..I didn't get there this week. So I'll be there on MONDAY>..Thanks ladies! Have a great day today Rain or Shine! haha!

Hello ladies...

MINDEE...great pictures of the family! Marissa is a cutie pie for sure.

MARTI...I love big picture windows! I just love a house with lots of windows period, lol. How are you loving your new home?

SUE...we are getting ready to do some landscaping and I can't wait! If this rain will ever let up we can get something done. It's still wet today and will dry out but the rain is supposed to start again tomorrow sometime. We did get some estimates for sprinklers & sod and to have some trees taken out on the property behind us...can't wait to get started. Your yard sound pretty.

TINA...I just noticed your weight tracker...you are doing great!

JODI...how are you doing missy? How is the job coming along? Hope there's no more stress for ya.

JANE...CONGRAT'S again on being a grandmama again! Finally a little boy.

TAMMY...I had a tape for the line dancing and was teaching myself...I loved it! A friend borrowed it and I never saw it again. I wish DH liked to dance...I would love to go and do some line dancing and some ballroom dancing. Glad you guys have fun!

PINKJANE...all three of my brothers were truck drivers at one time. The oldest tired of it, or should I say his wife tired of it, lol. They've moved on to different things...it took a toll on them for sure. You are doing a great job with your walking.

Hi to everyone else.

Going to try and keep up from today. Just been in a blah mood...thinking it is because I am not exercising and the weather is just ugly.

Going to put up some tickers...one for a small WL goal and one for exercise and see if that helps me get motivated again. If the weather would cooperate I could get to the park. Eating has been horrible as well. Last WI I was up a pound. I will be getting back on track.

I'm so weird...I was using DH's nieces wedding as a motivator goal and since it was called off I quit too, lol. Weird. She had gone home and he told her to get out. Take some stuff and come back tomorrow to get the rest. He changed the locks, took her garage door opener with no explanation. As far as we know right now the wedding in June is off. She hasn't had the greatest luck with men, poor girl. Anyway...

If it doesn't rain and the dirt dries out some we are going to get out and do some work on our yard. We plan on planting and picking all the trees/shrubs and doing the brickwork. We have trees in the back that we are getting estimates to have cut down. They are on the property line where our fence will go and V got permission from the owner to cut them down. They are just hedge trees, nothing special to look at. We've got to do that and clean up the yard some, and do a patio before we put in a well, sprinklers and sod. Well, actually have someone do it. V was going to but with his schedule it would be months and we need to get grass in before it gets too hot. We will do the fence though, me and him. Then have this guy come and put a protector on it and the deck. Supposed to be better than stain and last longer. Anywho...blah, blah, blah

Hope all is well with everyone. Chat with ya soon

Good evening ladies...Glad to see you are feeling better Cristina. You were missed. I know what you mean though, I took a break myself last week.

Pink Jane- Keep on treadmilling. (I wanted to say keep on truckin', but that's your hubby. ) Seriously, you are doing great.

Tina- Hello to you too..glad you are back. I am starting to really love landscaping. Hard work, but it feels good. I am trying not to overdo the plantings this year...until we see how things are going to grow here. We started with a blank slate except for the trees.

Mindee- Ouch! Poor Brandon. Luckily he was not injured, but then he has to suffer the croup. You have your hands full. But..you have pretty babies for sure!

Tammy- I tried line dancing and found I have 2 left feet.....but everyone seems to be having so much fun doing it.

Marti- I love windows too, and mine look so nice now that they are clean. Ours here are not as big as in the old house. I did find a microfiber cleaning cloth really makes them shine. After washing and drying I wiped them with a dry micro cloth and they sparkle. I bought a pack of the cloths in the auto dept. because someone told me you can use them on your swifter mops...well, I remembered that they said they were good for auto windows, so tried them and BOY do they do the trick. No more of those streaks when the sun shines in a window that you thought you had gotten clean.

Okay...well, I didn't mean to stay so long tonight. We finished the front after DH got the stone delivered. Had my tooth fixed with no painkiller, so no problems there. Got my hair cut while I was out and about. We planted 2 more shrubs, I cleaned the birdbath and weeded around the shed. Feeling pretty good even though I didn't walk today.

HAve a good week-end ladies...and HI to all of you.

Tina~ Thanks for the congratulations. thanks for the nice words on the pictures and on the job situation. I hope things are better on the family front for you in the future.

Cristina~ Thanks for the nice words on the pictures. Tommy opened your card the other day and he saw that you wrote about seeing a picture of her. His response was "we can send her a picture of Marissa in the mail since we have stamps now."

Pink Jane~ Thanks for the nice comments. And also thanks for the words about Brandon. He is much better today, he still has his croupy cough, but other then that he is good.

Sue~ Thanks for the nice comments on the pictures and the kids. He has been moving his arm and shoulder with no problem so I am sure that it isn't broken. Ever since he was eight months old, he has had the croup at least once a year, and it is usually around winter time that he has it....and usually around Christmas time.

I just saw my first hummingbird of the season. I wondered if they would be in the new area..and YES. Already had several goldfinch at the feeder and cardinals in the yard. So I am officially happy now!
*doesn't take much does it?*

Good morning everyone. I will be back later.

Hiya Ladies...

MINDEE...don't know how I missed that about the dresser...poor little guy. Hope his arm is fine.

Speaking of stamps...don't forget ladies, they go up to 41 cents on May 14th.

SUE...I think it is the simple things in life that make us the happiest, or me anyway. I love to watch the birds/nature. I'll have to remember that about the cloths. I can't clean the lower level windows yet though. With not having any grass the rain is making a muddy mess and it is splashing on the windows.

PINKJANE...yeppers, you are doing great with your walking! Throw some of that motivation my way, please, lol.

HI to everyone else

Nothing much going on today. Woke up really early for some reason. Got up and had breakfast and then went back to bed, lol. Doing laundry right now and then going to hang some pictures up on the wall leading down to the basement. Then I am going to get a walk/workout in. V finally put the weights together. It was basically put together but some parts had to be taken apart to fit it through the door. So I am set to go.

Supposed to get some bad storms later this evening. It's getting dark right now. They had some tornados last night in the west, scary stuff. A few people were killed.

Well, take care ladies. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!
