Just got off the treadmill and checking in, I watched Disney Fantasy Weddings while I was walking and I am so ready to go to WDW like NOW!! LOL Sept 9th seems so far away but that just gives me something to look forward too...no rain today but they still are calling for TStorms overnite, they seem to be staying well west of us though...Hubby called he's in Ohio, he stopped at a truckstop to get a shower came back out and the cat had gone on a rampage in his food cabinet, tore open his bag of almonds, his croutons and destroyed his loaf of bread, so somebody's little fuzzy butt is in trouble LOL, he said he was near a grocery store so he was able to get some more stuff...well I am gonna make a salad with chicken for my dinner so have a Good Evening All.

Sue - Oh the cats and I just love watching the birds out the window, I love listening to the cardinals.

Cristina - I hope the storms pass you by.

  • Hi ladies....back again. Our weather was pretty nice today, cloudy but no rain. I planted a climbing rose cutting that DD brought over and 3 pixie lillies that Mom bought.
DH and I got in a 2 mile walk before dinner. Otherwise...not lots going on.

I did enjoy watching the birds today, but only saw hummingbirds twice. Don't know if it was two different ones or the same one, but hopefully we will have more.

Talk to you tomorrow....hi to all!
  • Good Evening Ladies...

It's a cloudy but dry day. Sun showed every now and then. I was able to go and get the car washed. It needed it badly. Went to visit my grandpa for a little while this afternoon. He was getting ready to watch his Mariners!

Today is Hubby's birthday and he's away! Can you believe that?

Anyway...I wanted to pop in quickly to say hello. Need to get dinner started before it gets too late in the evening.

    Have a good one.
  • Hi ladies,

Too many posts for me to try and catch up individually! Life has been so busy for many of you, too, it seems. Although I've missed "talking" with you gals, I haven't missed being on the computer so much.

Neal and I went to an anniversary party for my oldest cousin yesterday and it was great to see family members that I hadn't seen for eons. Tonight the youth of our church is holding a talent show, and that should be fun. Thursday we went to see an inspirational singer, Kathy Trocolli, perform, and she was great!

Tomorrow is my first visit with a doctor in Evansville. I think I have an umbilical hernia, or something, and just need a good checkup, too. Neal and I are going to make a day of it down there. After my doctor's visit, he's going to drop me off at Hobby Lobby, then he's going to the gambling boat, lol.

    Have a good day!
  • Hey ladies! I am happy because i'm only ONE pound away from calling it a 30 pound loss! Makes me want to really hunker down! I had a crazy night last night - one of my daughter bestest guy friends had been out drinkin' (not with my daughter) and he ended up over my house and passed out and we couldn't wake him up and we had to dial 911 but he came to and it was really scary! We had to call his parents and I thought he was dying. And I got an infection in my foot....again. I wish this would just go away. The dr I'm seeing thinks it will. I meet with him again next month. I hope too to have a great loss from the time I saw him last to the next time I see him... So, I'll have to do individuals later.

Have a GREAT Sunday tho guys!

  • Evening ladies...Looks like everyone is busy, busy....Pink Jane and Tina..Keep up the good work. Jane..Good luck at the Drs. and for Neal at the boat. Marti- Happy Birthday to James..and hope you get to spend time with him.

Had a rather lazy day..planted some lilly of the valley. Planned the next step in the landscaping...and hopefully will work on it tomorrow. I have to go buy 2 carpet roses, a hosta and some ground cover. $$$$$

Not feeling too great, and didn't get in a walk...but didn't eat too much either. Hi all...have a good week.
  • hello ladies....how are you all doing?

nothing new here....just had a somewhat relaxing weekend around here. Tommy had to work on Saturday, so me and kids hung around the house. His new schedule has him working from 6am to 5pm during the week and then from 6am to 2pm on Saturdays. yesterday we had to go and do some grocery shopping....we needed to get it done desperately! we managed to get it done without any major problems....except for me forgetting to pack a bottle for Marissa. We ended up stopping back by the house to get a bottle for her before heading to Krogers, but she ended up not wanting it at first. I did get her to take a little bit while Tommy and Brandon had gone into the store. Then when we got home, she didn't want to be at Mommy's diner so she had some more of the bottle. I am trying to get her away from the formula, because it doesn't stay in her as long as it did with the boys. She will eat it and then 9 times out of 10 she will threw it back up.

Tommy's sister called him yesterday to let him know that his dad is in the hospital. His mom took him in on Saturday night. He was having pains in his stomach so she took him in. Turns out he has gall stones, and they checked his gall bladder and it is supposedly diseased so last I heard they wanted to operate and take it out. last time Tommy talked to his mom which was around dinner time, they were leaving the decision up to the doctor in charge about taking it out. I know they wanted to do an ultrasound on it before taking him into surgery.
  • Good Morning Ladies--

Today is WI day and I'm up a couple pounds due to TOM. At least it better be from TOM.

Been walking every night again. Good to get back into a routine. I need it after all this chaos from moving.

Ok....this is a shorty....I need to get ready for work.

    Have a good Monday.
  • Hello ladies...

Not lots going on with me. Same old stuff...cleaned the house (I LOVE a clean house!) Did my 2 mile walk on the treadmill (the weather is too weird right now to go to the park), ran a couple of errands and getting laundry done. Getting ready to go jump in the shower before V gets home. He's got a guy coming over to give us an estimate for sprinklers and sod at 4-4:30 and then we are off to buy a dinnette set and two bar stools. The one we have (should have never bought it, wasn't thinking) is not really something for everyday use. I want one that I don't have to worry or nag if someone sets something on it. I don't want it to get all scratched and such but something we can use.

    Anywho...

MARTI...a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY to James! Sorry he isn't/wasn't home to celebrate it with you.

TINA...sorry to hear about the friend, scary stuff. WTG on all your hard work, it's paying off!

PINKJANE...WTG on all your walking! You are doing a great job! I would love to go to WDW as well. I think my only vacation this year will be a visit to see my ailing father in a few weeks, and an upcoming wedding in September, possibly one in October.

SUE...WTG on your walking also! I'm putting carpet roses in our landscaping too! Doing something totally different from the last house...have my plan kind of half way made out. I know what I want, just not sure where exactly it will go. We'll see, I think that's the fun of it.

JANE...hope all goes well at the docs and Neal wins big! Have fun at Hobby Lobby too! I've not been there in a while I think it's time for a visit, lol.

Sorry this is kind of short, and if I missed you. I'm running out of time! Will catch ya next time though.

Today is WI and I am up 2 pounds, ugh! That's okay though as I am back on track with my walking and such. I plan on a GREAT loss next WI!

Take care ladies and I hope everyone is having a nice day!
  • Hi all...I decided to WI also...the scale didn't budge. That's okay since I just got started back on the walking and haven't gotten very strict with food yet. Hoping to see a change next week. For some reason I am not, have not, been hungry for a few days, so that might help.
Put in a scarlet and a yellow carpet rose and a dark green/yellow hosta. All my other hostas are green and white, so wanted a different one. I also did salvia around the hummingbird feeder...bright red.
I think I have a couple lilac bushes to buy and maybe one ornamental grass...then we will be done for this year. We want to see how everything does and add or take out next Spring before we start on the back of the house. (Of course we did the trees around back, just not the foundation.)

And then, who knows we might take a break for a couple weeks and decide to go ahead with some more. DH has a habit of changing his mind. ha...

Cristina- Good luck on your yard. I had a hard time picking things since we decided to NOT go with any evergreens or pines. And I used several flowering things, which I didn't do at the last house. I realize you can't even judge what it is going to look like until things grow a good bit. I took pictures and it is hard to even tell whats what...things are small. We did a rock garden out front and that has turned out to be one of my favorite areas...with the bird area in back.

Be back for more individuals later....
  • Hi All!
Just checkin in. I am still alive. Been stressed to the max. Thank God for my antidepressant- of course if I hadn't started it, I prob would never have had the strength to look for a new job to begin with.
I about told that lady on Fri that since I was obviously too stupid to do the job as perfectly as she can that she could just DO IT! I had to bite my tongue not to say anything. I think she realized how mad I was cause she shut up. I know I was breathing mad-like- haha.
Then my hubby went away for the weekend with his brother. The trip was partially my idea way back in Jan. It was for his bday which was the 3rd. Anyhow, as time got closer I didn't want him to go. We have been apart one time in the almost 17 yrs we have been married and that was for 2 nights when I went out of state to a friend's wedding. I can not believe how much I missed him this weekend.
Anyhow, been really busy, and just got over being sick too. I am not really at my best right now. I am hoping that things will calm down soon. I do not function well under stress at all.
  • Good morning ladies... have not been posting here so much, but need to get back into the swing of it! I've found that when I come here to review threads and hear what's going on with everyone, I get inspired by other's successes! Makes me want to stick to the plan more...

Have a wonderful and successful day!
  • Good morning, ladies,

Tina - wow, how scary about your DDs friend. How is he?

PinkJane - my whole family is going to WDW next March, and I'm already excited about it, lol. Universal Studios is offering a 7 day ticket for $85.95, so we're all doing that, too.

Sue - I just love Lily of the Valley, and since they spread so much, have thought of planting some among some trees we have. Have you bought one of the Fire and Ice hostas? They have cream colored leaves, trimmed in green. Very pretty.

Mindee - hope all is well with your FIL. He'll feel much better once his gallbladder is out, or so I've been told.

Marti - hopefully the weight gain was due to TOM. Sorry that James had to spend his BD away from home. When will he be home? Btw, how's everything going with the house? Bet it looks so nice by now.

Cristina - Hobby Lobby's section for scrapbookers and stampers just goes on and on! I bought the coolest stickers yesterday - they are of Woody from Toy Story. Makenzie Jane has a Woody doll, and just loves him to pieces. Today I'm going to take her picture with it, and then ask her why she loves Woody so much. Then I'll journal her answer on the scrapbook page. I think that will make a neat page.

Jodi - aww, I hope things have settled down for you.

    Karin - welcome back!

Hello to Mary Kate, Julie, Vann, Tammy, Sassy, and anyone else reading this.

I like my new doctor, and was happy that he didn't rush me at all, but spent lots of time with me. I have high blood pressure, which he is going to re-check in two weeks since I've never had it before in my life. And I have been put on an anti-depressant/anxiety med. He didn't find anything wrong with my navel/belly, so we'll see how that goes, because I think there IS something there.

Today I plan to just chill out and spend time with Madison. It's her turn to be Grandma's Girl, lol.

I hope you have a good day.
  • My DD friend is doing fine. I had him over the next day so I could give him my 'mom' speech. I sprinkled it with a little guilt (moms are famous for) and I pray that he never does anything like that again.

I'm happy...i'm only .25 away from losing the BIG 30!!! whooo whooo I feel like I'm back on track. I had been floundering so much that I really need to keep my head in the game.

I'm also doing the 2 day Juice fast. I enjoy doing that once in a while to keep things fresh.

I have to go weigh in...a day late...haha...talk to you all soon! Thanks ladies!

    Tina
