thanks ladies for the nice comments on the boys. that was when they were being "angels" which usually only happens when they are asleep, like now! LOL
Jane~ We used "the trick" and it seems to have sparked some contractions. I have been having some off and on all day on Sunday. So, we shall see how things go from there. It seemed like they would come close together and when I would count them to see if we hit the magic number in order to go to the hospital, they would slack off and go away. I will keep your BIL in my prayers.
Tina~ Sounds like you and your DH had a great anniversary! Who knows what me and Tommy will do for ours when it comes around.....it will probably be a family outing again. But hopefully, things will work out and we can get one of their godmothers to watch them so we can at least go out to dinner just the two of us. (I can't tell you the last time we did that....oh wait! it was last year for Tommy's birthday when my parents watched the boys long enough for us to go to dinner. then we went back to their place for cake and ice cream) Great job on the weight loss!
Pink Jane~ Thanks for the nice comments! Sounds like you had a heat wave compared to what it was here. If it weren't so windy here, today would have been a nice day. We met up with some of the boys' god parents and got something to eat, then Tommy wanted some ice cream, and then came back here to hang out.
Sue~ Great job on your walking! I can't wait for the weather to get nice around here so we can take the kids for walks. During the summer, every wednesday night I think in June and/or July, they do a "concert in the park" night at the park within walking distance from us. So, we will probably take the kids over there once a week, if not more just to tire them out!
I am actually pouting this morning...no weight loss. I expected as much with the way I have been eating.
Going to the airport here shortly.....Baby will be so glad to see Mom. So will I.
Gotta go put in the tracker for this week....I am going to bump it up to 12 miles since the weather is going to be warmer. Wish me luck.
JANE...I ended up going in the total opposite from what I normally get for the bed. I thought I would go with a more modern feel. That and something a little more masculine for V. Now to get some new "modern" furniture. I mean up-to-date more than modern. I bought a brown micro-suede comforter & shams, linen bedskirt, green/linen striped throw pillows and green tab-top curtains with a band of brown at the top and a band of linen around the edges (trim) and I must say...I LOVE it! Found a shower curtain at Bed, Bath & Beyond that has all the colors in it as well. the room will be painted a shade of green and the bath a lighter shade of the same color since there are no windows in it. Vince actually said yesterday "I hate to say this, but I look forward and can't wait till we paint" So did you sing the song?
MINDEE...can't believe how big the boys have gotten, and oh so cute! Thanks for the pictures!
PINKJANE...I do the same once in a while. I love chicken salad. It was finally warm here yesterday but I am always so cold I still wore a sweatshirt most of the day. Like today as well. Supposed to be 71 and I know it will warm up, if it hasn't already. But it was a little cool out this morning. Hopefully, it stays warm for us!
SUE...you are doing great with your walking...babysteps. Don't get frustrated with not showing a loss this week. It will happen.
SASSY...I hope FIL didn't have a relapse, he was doing so well the other day...flirting with all the nurses and all. Hope MIL is doing better.
TINA...congrat's on the 21st anniversary! Sounds like you guys had a nice time.
MARTI...hope you're not tiring yourself out too much. Can't wait to hear about your new home!
Hi to everyone else
Had to run to the post office this morning and mail some packages to the sand box, lol. Bought Josh an iPod for his BD but they had to go out on that mission and he said to hold off on sending it. So mailed that this morning along with 20 soldier "Salute" beanie bears. I bought out two Hallmarks, lol. Anyway, even though it is supposed to rain tomorrow, again. I did go ahead and get my car washed. Don't plan on going anywhere tomorrow anyway so...
As far as WI goes...I am up 2 pounds, ugh! But it's okay and I expected it the way we have eaten this past week. Started the night before V's bd and just got worse, sort of. The food was good, lol but not wise choices at all. So, back on the ole horse again with WW and my walking. Allergies are all but gone so feeling good and up to walking again.
Tina - thank you for the kind words. I do absolutely love being a grandma. Some women I know don't want to be "bothered" with their grandkids, and I just can't understand that. A belated Happy Anniversary to you and your sweetie!
Pink Jane - how do you cook the turkey cutlets? I've broiled them before, but thought they were a little tough. I'd love to have a new recipe for them.
Sue - hope your mom made it home safely to Baby. I am already stressing on what to do about Molly when we go to FL next year, since the whole fam is going.
Mindee - the 30th will be here before you know it, so even if you go to full term, it won't be that long now. I know you're getting miserable, though.
Today Neal and I are taking Mary's 3 to see Meet the Robinson's. It's a 3-D movie, and I have to admit I'm crazy for 3-D stuff, lol.
I'm OP and feeling great about that. I've planned ahead for a small treat at the movies but having a light lunch and a light supper.
Cristina - we were posting at the same time. The colors for the bedroom sound great, and I'm glad Vince is looking forward to it. No, I didn't sing the song. I might have since the place is usually fairly empty, but last night the place was jumpin'. Not only that, but I have a cold, or allergies, and I need all the advantages I can get, lol.
JANE...hope it's not a cold you have. I just got over these allergies and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Taking a claritin everyday because Jason's doc told him when he went to get a shot, that another round of something (J forgot what) is around the corner. So hoping that prevents anything the next time. Hope you guys enjoy the movie...I saw the previews of it and it looked funny.
Better get going...have lots to do today and not enough time. There's always tomorrow though, lol.
Hi all.I weighed today and i can't beleive it,still no change.I'm not quitting, nope not me,i will not give up.I had two 40 min walks today .I will start this new week with more exercise, more water, more salads and more fish.Something soon has to work i'm running out of ideas.Hope everyone had a great day.
Hi ladies....Got in a 2 miler and didn't get blown away...but, boy was it windy.
Mom got home okay and Baby is thrilled. She is so fickle...I was her favorite while Mom was gone, and now she won't even look at me. haha... I just said to her "let's go to bed" which normally gets her up and running to the bedroom...she didn't even move from Mom's side when I said it.
Sassy- That is good news. Hope he gets better and better. You take care.
Amy- I am like you...something has to work eventually. I did eat OP today..and walked. I know we can do it...just taking us awhile, huh?
Jane- Yeah..Baby went to the airport with us. She got so excited. Have you ever boarded Molly? You should try it for a night when you are home...just to check it out.
Cristina- TY...I know it will happen, just not fast enough.
Mindee- Your boys are adorable. The concerts in the park sound so neat...and luckily the park is near you. That would be a blast.
Pink Jane- Our weather is slowly getting warmer, but still windy. It actually got up to 58 today. I just couldn't get a bike ride in.....the wind would have blown me over. Ha... I saw the commercial for HIp Hop Abs. Looked like fun, but I can see why it makes a person sore.
Tina- Congrats on your 21st. I just had my 30th...and this is my second marriage. LOL ! Sounds like a good time on your trip.
Don't know what I am doing tomorrow....nothing too exciting except maybe grocery shopping. Hopefully walking, bike riding and eating OP. Right?
It was a Gorgeous day today we made it up to 77, it's 9:50 and I still have the windows wide open ...Had to get up early to get the boy to work so my whole schedule has been outta whack...didn't do much but putter around all day, but got my 60 mins in on the treadmill, watched the news all day mostly, sad sad day, will say a prayer for the victims and their families tonite...made chicken cacciatore for dinner with no yolk whole wheat noodles, was very tasty...Well have a Good Evening Everyone and a Better Day tomorrow
Jane - I just bake them with a little spray of olive oil cooking spray and then add some Mrs Dash garlic and herb and sage they stay pretty moist that way
Sassy - Good to hear your FIL made it home
Sue - Good Job on the 2 miles, LOL Baby missed her and will probably stick to her like glue for weeks
Nothing new on this end…..still pregnant though. I am anxious about my upcoming appointment on Thursday! I can’t wait for it to arrive. I wonder what my progress is for this week. Hopefully, we made some progress, especially with all the walking and contractions that I have been having off and on. Brandon is getting sick. He was a little pale today, and even Tommy noticed when he walked in the door from work. He did get some color in his face, but it was mainly from the spaghetti sauce at dinner. So, we will be watching him, and if he is still pale by dinner time tomorrow, then we will be taking him into the doctor’s office. Logan has had a case of the sneezes all day on Monday. So, needless to say the boys both got some medicine and hopefully what ever is trying to make it’s way into the house, is going to get flushed out of here.
As for this weekend, well Tommy has to work on Saturday because he didn’t work this past weekend, which is fine. Brandon’s party is still set up for Sunday, unless Marissa comes, then it will probably be pushed back to next weekend. He is really excited. He even picked out an outfit he wants sister to wear to his birthday party. (do you think he knows something we don’t?)
Sue~ Good luck with your new walking goal! I am sure you are so relieved now that your mom is back.
Cristina~ Your welcome for the updated pics. I was going to put some on here, but I wasn’t sure if any one would want to see them. (I will make sure to post a picture of Marissa when she arrives, so you all can see her) Your allergies are almost gone, and I think Tommy was mentioning that his were starting to act up.
Jane~ At this point, I am just setting a goal to make it to the weekly appointment the following week. Now, whether she wants us to make it to that appointment is up to her. Since both boys were late, I am not sure if I would know what to do if she came early!
Amy~ Sorry to hear about the stand still…..but like the phrase goes “no news is good news.” (meaning, that no gain is great!!)
Sassy~ That is great news! How is your MIL doing? Is she doing better?
Sue~ Another bonus for us, even if we don’t make it to the park for the concerts, Tommy says that we can hear them from where we are. I know we used to be able to hear them sometimes when we first moved in here (and we were in the upstairs apartment close to the park) but now that we are more or less in the back of the complex, I doubt we will be able to hear it. But who knows!
Pink Jane~ How are you doing? I agree with you on Monday being a sad day. Sometimes it makes me wonder about what goes through peoples minds these days. Not to mention, this Friday is the anniversary for Columbine back in 1999, I think it was.
MINDEE...tell Tommy to take something now for his allergies. I started with the claritin and then quit and that's when it hit me, and hit me hard. I've been taking one everyday though getting ready for the next round, lol. Hope Brandon isn't getting a cold.
PINKJANE...ugh! 70's by 10 a.m., I am jealous. Started out kind of cool here and then warmed a little but I am sitting in the basement now freezing! I have the fireplace going, lol. WTG on your 60 mn. walk!
AMY...I am glad to hear that you are not giving up! I've been there so many times and it's hard. But even if you don't lose every week you are still doing this for your health, so it's all good. Hang in there though missy.
SUE...you too, hang in there. WTG on getting your walk in. I am the same...I want the results now, lol. But I am confident we will all get it off soon enough.
SASSY...woohoo! Glad to hear FIL is home and I hope he is feeling good.
Hi to everyone else Hoping all is well with you and yours.
What a morning! Was up bright and early to run some errands. Now I know why so many people get mad when going to Lowes, ugh! I didn't get mad, just a little annoyed. Went to get some red paint for V to start the painting. I gave the paper/color to the guy and walked away to get curtain rods thinking when I returned that the paint would be ready like it normally is. I get back, no paint. And I spent about 30 minutes getting curtain rods, lots of curtain rods. There's two guys helping the woman that came up behind me the first time there. Then one finally asks me if I need help. The guy that took the paint chip from me apparently saw that they didn't have the paint I wanted so just walked away to do other things. This manager helped and told me they didn't have a gallon of the paint I wanted but could he give me four qts. for the price of a gallon...sure, whatever. But I spent a little over a hour there because the kid that took my chip walked away. Anyway...stood there longer than I should have but finally got out of there. I had too much running around to do to be spending that much time there. Needless to say it was nice to get home and finally sit down. I will be glad when this is all over and we are completely settled in the house. Anyway...ran to the mall next. Was time to get my wedding rings cleaned and checked so picked up some lotion and candles while there. Oh and soap. I tried the soap at Bath & Body a while back and now I am hooked on that as well. The lotion hand soap. Anyway...
Not changing my ticker until next WI. My scales said I was up 2 pounds and WW said 1. I like their scales better, lol. Funny, thought because our scales are right on with WW, usually.
Cristina~ I will mention it to him. He bought some cough drops earlier today because his throat has been sore. He was going to stop by the store and by some chicken noodle soup for himself for dinner. He has some allergy medicine in the linen closet, so I am sure he will probably start taking them soon.
Just got done doing my 60 mins on the treadmill so I thought I would check in, another beautiful day here 72 with a very lite breeze, sure felt good hitting my sweaty body while I was walking LOL, whole lot of nuthin' goin on today, I hope everyone had a Good Day I'm gonna make myself a turkey burger for dinner, Have a Good Evening
Mindee - I sure hope Brandon is feeling better today
Cristina - Sounds like you had a very busy day
Amy - Hang in there, we all go through stages where the scale gets stuck on stupid
