  • Good morning, ladies,

Mindee - I got your PM, and have to say the box got there a day ahead of when I thought it would! You are so very welcome for the gifts for the kids, and yes, I'd love to see a photo of little Marissa in the sundress someday. I'm glad to know the boys like the Color Wonders stuff. Let us know what the doctor says today.

    Amy - yay for perseverance!

Cristina - I'm going to be at the craft/fabric store this morning, and the Hallmark store is next door, so I'll check and see if they have any of those bears you want. If they do, I'll buy them and send them to you. My treat for the troops. Oooooohhh, your kitchen will be so cool with that color. Are you going with a cherry theme, or apples, or what?

Tammy - I'm so glad the people here understand my stressing out over leaving Molly when I go to Florida. I will admit that I may be stressing a little prematurely, though, since we aren't going until next March, lol. Have a good 4 days off, and enjoy your son.

Jules - yowza, all the babies! We're counting down the days for Jackson's arrival. 13 to go! You're a very bright person, so I know you've considered your options for counseling, etc with DH (the D can stand for other words than Dear, lol), so there's no need to go into any of that, but I want you to know that I'm here for you and if you need me. All you have to do is call. It doesn't matter what time, ok?

Jodi - thank you for the card! Any time I get a card from one of you, it tickles me pink (would that make me Pink Jane, lol) Anyway, that was unexpected and I thank you.

Sassy - you didn't mention what you've been up to. Anything fun?

Jen - good luck with weigh in today. Be sure to check your body measurements even if you don't show a loss at the scales.

Hello to everyone else reading this.

I've got to get off here and get my menus and grocery list done so I can go shopping. I need to pick up some scrapbook supplies, too, and also want to go to the Hallmark House for Cristina. Madison is going to be my girl today, and she loves to shop, so this will be fun. We'll do lunch out, too.

Speaking of food - I am still OP and feeling great.

  • Just a fly-by. My brain is on overload this week. I started my new job on Monday and there is just SOOOOO much to learn. The lady who is training me told me yesterday that I need to cool it- that I am pushing myself too hard. So, I really tried to talk myself out of freaking out- lol. So today things went pretty well and she even said that she could tell I wasn't as nervous. So, tomorrow she is going to come in a little later so that I have to get started on my own to see how I will do. I think she is wanting to not be working anymore.
I think I have the deposit down pat and all, it's all the rest of it. Putting parts in the system, checking if they have arrived, making sure they are ordered... arghhhhh all this stuff takes experience. I am just afraid someone is going to need an answer to something that I have no idea what they are talking about.

Sassy- I have been curious, what kind of work do you do?

Ok, that's all for me today. Have a good day!
  • Hello ladies...

JANE...that would be awesome! And thank you! The red isn't red but more a darker red and I like it. It doesn't seem dark at all with all the windows and light in there. I don't think I could go with bright red. But I am trying to find roosters. For some reason I like the look of the roosters, mostly too all the colors in the ones I have seen. But not really doing a theme, just adding some here and there without going overboard. I'll share some photos once it's done. Although, everytime I see one I want to buy it, lol. Bet Gina & Terry are getting excited! I know I am for you guys. I meant to add to the borading thing...we did it with Ernie one time and that poor doggy was scared to death. I will never do it again. If no one is home to take care of him, then he goes with us. He's ruined a couple of vacations for us, but it was worth not seeing him scared to death.

Speaking of pictures...did I mention the bank we got our mortgage thru gave us a gift? There was actually a whole list of things to choose from. From silverware, to luggage, to a weedwacker, etc. It was between a digital camera and the flat stereo/cd player. We had been meaning to get a camera for a while and so went with that. That and mine broke. I thought that was nice of them. I know they make tons of money, but still. They do this for everyone who gets a mortgage thru them now. Anyway, just thought that was cool.

MINDEE...I can't believe how fast the time is flying by. Little Marissa (& Jackson) will be here before you know it. Are you ready for her?

JULES...hugs to you missy. Sorry DH is still being a bear. I hope that they don't use forceps on your nieces baby. Of course I don't know what else they would use to turn the baby...just heard bad things about the use of them. I didn't realize so many were having babies...must be the water, lol. I like the name Blake too...my friends third is Blake Alexander...always like the way it flowed.

SASSY...well, I am glad that you at least get Thursday off. So do you guys have fun things planned? How is your MIL & FIL doing? Bet he is glad to be home! And, glad DH is better and it was just a bug. My dad is having problems breathing...has a bad heart. He's had problems for a few years, but my mom said it is getting worse. She is going over and cooking for him and cleaning, doing his laundry and such. he was supposed to go to the doctor and see about getting oxygen to help him. I know he won't be around much longer and I want to see him before he goes.

TAMMY...I bet the navy is pretty! I love color on the walls. Glad you had fun at the party. I've not been watching AI but I have been hearing about Sanjaya, lol.

JODI...how are you doing? Can't remember when or if you mentioned when you would be starting the new job. Are you excited?

PINKJANE...glad you got to talk with DH. I think I saw that Toad Lick on Jay Leno or something. It was mentioned sometime and I thought that was just the oddest name for a town, lol. I'm like you though, nothing is going to get me off the treadmill until I am done.

    Hi everyone else

Nothing much going on with me today. Sticking around the house and getting some things done. I've not gotten a lot done that I was going to do because I've not felt so great. Now I am feeling kind of tired and run down. Don't know if it is still the allergies or what. I am making an appt. to see the doc though...passed my yearly and never rescheduled. So doing that, and making an appt. for my mamogram as well, ugh. I really hate that. The first time wasn't so bad, since then it just seems so painful, ouch. It's gotta be done though. Making an appt. to take my vehicle in as well. Oil change, tires rotated and brakes checked. Blah, blah, blah...same old, same old.

    Have a good day ladies!
  • HiYa JODI!

You posted while I was writing that book, lol! And of course answered my question. I would be nervous too, but aren't we all when we start a new job? Maybe, it's just me, and you, lol. I worry about silly things. Once you get the hang of things you will be fine. It will be like you have worked there forever. Besides, they have to know you are new and it will take some time. So try to take it easy on yourself missy.
  • PinkJane--your caccitore sounds yummy. DH hated our son-in-law, turns out he was the only one not fooled. He's no longer our SIL and actually had the nerve to bring his live in girlfriend to the divorce hearing.

Jane--Jackson is one of the name choices of my niece. In our early years DH was physically abusive and I left. We got counseling and it stopped. Now with me going to the gym and being very independent. There has been no physical abuse because he knows that I would leave him in a second if there was. Our problems are more of a power struggle with him trying to control everything I do and me being way past that point and not going back there again. It may be a little of the insecurity he gets when I start losing weight and going to the gym and him not losing. Our friend told him the other day that he is causing all his stress himself and is going to give himself a heart attack!! My anxiety pills are getting him calmed down and in a better mood. Thanks for the concern.

HappyM--I can't wait until we have sunshine and warmer weather, there is a trail that my son went on that I have never been to so we are planning to go as soon as the weather breaks and we are both free.

Mindee--here's hoping for a fast & easy labor and delivery for you too!! and soon!!

Tammy--I am usually a AI fan but this year I really didn't have any faves, it was like that for me the year Fantasia won too. I loved Kelly, hated Justin in 1,loved both Reuben & Clay in 2, didn't get into 3, loved both Bo & Carrie in 4, Chris Daughtery was my pick in 5 and now this year not into it again.

Sassy--thanks for the warm thoughts, DH doesn't deal well with stress and he is heaping more on than he has too. He does seem to want to try to be more controlling and have a say in every aspect of my life (and the with kids too) when he feels out of control. Hopefully he is getting it together. The stress also causes his gout to act up which makes him grumpier from the pain!!

Well I really have to get back to work!!

  • Jodi--yay for the new job!!! I do the training here and I always tell people that it is a learning process and one step builds on another and the most important thing to remember when you make a mistake is that mistake has been made before and it will be made after. There's no shame in telling someone that you are new and are learning so you will have to get back to them with an answer.

Cristina--If DH doesn't stop being a "bear with a sore arse" or actually a sore foot with his gout, I may just have to kick him. Coworkers baby Blake's middle name is Hayes. My allergies are acting up to--eyes especially!!
  • Don't have a lot of time right now, but just wanted to offer some to everybody. Will "chat" w/ ya later!
  • before I post my HUGE novel, I will deem this thread closed and try and remember how to start a new one!

so come read the novel in Weight Loss and Chitchat #248!!!
