Good JOB Amy on the 3 lb loss! Good job Marti on the loss too! Is there any more losers out there?
Well I'm one...yeah! 2.5 pounds loss for the week. And better yet I squeeked into the 180's today. I had to remove my bracelet but it balanced. So I count it! Next stop 170's!

I had a very depressing day yesterday. I was shopping with some other women and everything I put on looked bad! I hated it so much. The other women were well one was normal weight one was a skinny teenager and one was chunky but she is shorter than me so she could fit in the styles better than me and the last woman was older and heavy. But I still felt like this biggest person there. With the biggest problem with my weight. It didn't matter. I hated it so much.

Unhappy

Well, I did lose one pound overall for my first week... it is better than gaining, I suppose, but I'm a bit bummed by it. Last Wednesday I had been down 3 lbs, but the weekend did me in. Yes I am not supposed to drink the first two weeks on South Beach, but I did Saturday and Sunday. I also ate some carbs on Saturday when we had friends over for dinner... however, not nearly the amount I would have eaten had I not been on the diet for the previous week.

I'm mostly mad at myself for not being able to stick to the induction program. But I know I have to think long term and not expect miraculous drops in weight....

It's still frustrating!!!

Karin ~ because your gain was from this weekend....just get right back on track and you should have an amazing loss next Monday! Because what you gained from what you ate yesterday isn't permenant...it'll be right down again with your getting back on program plus some....so just wait you'll be doing a dance next Monday! And yes it's long term. We all need to get that into our heads. We are basically eating like we should be eating forever. So when you're at goal you will have some fun weekends once in awhile but you'll be able to get right back to the healthy eating the next day and stay slim! Yes?

I'm kinda the opposite....when I goof it's because I didn't eat enough...drink enough water or eat enough foods. I'm a all or nothing girl and I worry if I eat one thing off program I'll be outta the game or something...so I choose to not eat if I can't get to something right...or I don't want to eat late so I'll stop eating after 8pm.

But I'm sure i'll have my day to come...only been on program for 3+ weeks.

Talk to you all soon....i'll be checking in here and there today probably because i'm feeling weak...need the support and for some reason this place really works for me. haha

Thumbs up Hello Everyone

Well I'm a neebie and I'm still trying to get posting and such figured out but I wanted to join in and say hello to everyone. Honestly I accidently came across this site and have not been able to get away. I have read so many postings and have found myself finally wanting to do something about my out of control weight. Lately I've been really down about my weight but had done nothing. After reading so many of the postings I decided it was time to do somethng about my unhealthy lifestyle besides just be depressed about it. I'm trying to figure out what type of "dieting" is going to work best for me, but I'm so glad I found you guys. I need all the advice and encouragement I can get. Hope everyone has a beautiful day!

Tina- Wanted to say that was a funny joke! What does that book say about the body style of carrying your fat in your gut? I have a small waist and big hips. My daughter hasn't developed her waist yet, but she carries her weight just like me. :-(

Sue- I had been getting this dvd from the library. Stores didn't have it so I had to go to Ebay. Anyways, it is by Just My Size ( you know the bra and underwear company) The lady that does it is a plus size model. A REAL plus size model, not those irritating people in the ads for plus size clothes only to see they are a size 6 instead of a size 2. I am guessing she is probably 250 lbs and she goes real slow and when doing it, of course she is really limber and can do the moves, but it makes you really say to yourself, if she can do that so can I. :-)

Sassy- Hope you and dh are feeling better.

Marti- WTG on your .6 loss!

Karin- WTG on the 1 pound loss!

Hi Moi Moi- glad you have stumbled upon us. It's a great place to be.

Well I am down a little. I know it has to be the exercise! So I am going to keep at it this week. My meds are kicked in and I feel so different about life. All of my symptoms I was having have disappeared too!!! I am even looking for a new job. I sent a resume out this morning so cross your fingers! :-)

Hello ladies...

Sorry this is a quickie for me...too much going on and not enough time. I will be on tomorrow to catch up with individuals but...

TINA...how the heck do you get in a size 12? I am an inch shorter than you and at 195 and can only dream of wearing a 12. Shoot, I can't remember the last time I wore a 12...one day. Anyway, you are doing an awesome job with your weight loss! WTG Keep up the good work and soon you will see a 10!

Today was WI and I am happy to report that I am the same. Actually, I am at 195.4 down from 195.8 last week, lol. But I am happy with that because as crazy as things have been I thought for sure I was going to have a gain. Gotta keep on myself this week and make sure I don't gain because my eating will be horrible for sure. Will be too tired to cook a healthy meal but I am going to try real hard to not overdo it and at least get my water and some fruits in. We'll see how that goes.

Better get going ladies. V will be home in a few minutes and I have to run to the store before heading to WW and then looking for a shower curtain and shower doors. Putting a curtain in our bath and doors in the main bath.

Take care and I hope everyone is having an awesome day! Hugs to everyone!

Christina ~ ha! ok....first I pull it up over my left thigh...and then I pull it up over the right one...then I inhale and get it to button...and then I inhale again and zip it up...following some deep knee bends and lunges. oooofa. But actually this pair is getting loose on me. It's from Express and it's the size 12 'curvey' pair. Now I carry my weight in the middle so if you look at me from the side it looks as if I'm carrying triplets. :I

Hey speaking of which ~ I started a thread on the 'support board' about my shopping trip (titled 'on my way down...) and I made a comment about 'when I get down i'll be taking a picture of myself in the dressing room'...and i'll post it! And it snowballed and now me and couple ladies have made a 'bet' that when we get down we are going to take a picture in the dressing room in our swimsuits! So get over there and join the deal! hahaha!

I told them that they were going to have to WAIT for me tho because I have over 50 to lose and they only have 15 and 20 respectfully. :P I told them to go have an ice cream and wait for me. hahaha!

Tina--I remember when I was a teenager...a long time ago....laying on the bed with a hanger to pull up the zipper...I still do the shimmy shimmy shake over the thighs and hips, but my tummy isn't flat anymore for the zipper to skim over!!! I am an all or nothing too--if I don't drink my water I don't lose and some days when I am realy stressed and busy I don't get enough calories in--my poor system doesn't know what to do!!

Cristina--at least you are headed in the right direction!!

Jodi--you are an hourglass like me, though I don't know what the book says. How was the Just My Size Yoga DVD--I love Ebay!!

Moi Moi--Welcome!!

Karin--just stick with it and try not to get too frustrated. We all slip from time to time.

Marti--yay for your loss!!

4Amy--yay for the minus 3 pounds!!

Mindee--Two of dd's friends are pregnant (well one just had a boy and the other is her old roomate & is due in September), our really good friends are due in May with a boy, my niece is having a boy in April, three coworkers are pregnant, one with a boy in May, another a boy in July & a third due in August, my old boss is going to be a first time grandparent with a baby girl in July and another coworker's son and his wife are having twins in September.

Jane--Chicago sounds fun!! How's the shoulder??

Sassy--still thinking of the two of you and your family!!

Sue--the only thing you have to worry about when planting in the woods is the sun and shade and the spots you thought were sunny but become shady when the leaves are fully back on the limbs!!

Tammy--I would much rather have snow than ice!! The last time we went to DC was about 5 years ago on his bday which coincides with the cherry blossoms!! The kids go to DC101's Chili cookoff almost every year and DD and gf went on a day trip last summer.

Hope everyone else is fine!!

Had to take dd to the ER this morning--turns out she has a kidney stone and a very bad kidney infection. Haven't heard from her yet this evening, but I am sure she is still sleeping.
