I am going to be MIA today...I have to cook for church tonight. Menu is roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans, with apple cake and brownies for dessert.

It is going to be a trying day...I woke up at 2 am, did not get back to sleep until sometime after 5 and Tom woke me up at 6! After he left for the gym at 6:15 or so, I was too wide awake to sleep and got up. I am off to Wal Mart to shop for the rest of the dinner ingredients in a few minutes...

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and is ready to make this a great week! We can do it!

Mmfgmf, chomp, chew, chomp. Yum. Tasty tigers. The Louisiana variety, that is. Gators love 'em for dinner.

BOB--No, I don't think we'll be playing UT--if we are lucky enough to get to Atlanta. Y'all are in the same division as we are, so we will be playing someone in the western division. Right now Ark. is the only undefeated team in the west. Congratulations on the win over the dawgs. The Gators still hold the record of the most points against the dawgs at Sanford stadium--53 points. Spurrier was the coach then and he said that he wanted to give Gator fans something to remember.

Eating has been mediocre. I need to get back with the program. We are going to Auburn this week. I'm afraid that I might not get to see Susan. Somehow we have not connected. Maybe I'll get lucky. Gators are 2 point underdogs for the game up there. It will be a tough game. All this travelling has made eating on plan really hard. I'm not even weighing this week.

Hey ya'll! I am again at 224, BUT I did not gain over the weekend like I usually do, so I'm hoping for a loss later in the week. I did OK with eating this weekend, but not perfect. (darn those bite sized yummy Halloween candies!) Rachel and I went walking both days and Sean joined us yesterday.

I made red beans and rice on Saturday and it was sooo good. The kids were not crazy about them, but Craig and I really liked it. I think I will be making it again in the next few cool months. It was the first time I have ever cooked dried beans and it was easy!

Rachel had some diarrhea over the weekend, but got on the scale yesterday and had a three pound loss. Part of it may have also been that she weighed in the afternoon at the doctor and in the morning on Sunday, but she was proud, so maybe it will continue. I told her to call me today if she feels bad at school.

Where is everybody?? It just seems so slow around here! I have been thinking that we will probably pick up and get busy again with New Years Resolutions, but I'd like to see some of our old friends around too!

Good morning ladies.

Ah, it is nice to be home and back to routine. We had a wonderful time in Nashville. I just love that city. We shopped until we dropped Sat at the big (and I do mean big) mall. We partied at night in the bars. My eating started out well. We stopped at Cracker Barrel on the way down and I did good with 1 egg and 2 pc of bacon and sourdough toast. At lunch I split a Rueben sandwich with my friend and gave her the fries. Then the only place we could get into for dinner was Hooters. I had about 6-7 wings. I didn't think that was too bad. Lunch at the mall was BBQ and lasgana for dinner. But the worst was yesterday, when we stopped for breakfast at Shoney's. Everyone got the breakfast bar. Talk out pigging out. That was our only meal until dinner. Then we went to Mexican. Again pigging out. It's that mindset, the day/weekend was blown anyway, might as well enjoy the last meal. I hate that. So the MM was up 7 lbs today. Hopefully, a lot of that is water and will go away quickly.

Monet, that dinner sounds wonderful. I know it will be delish.

Gator, I had picked the Gators to win. Congrats.

Missy, sorry about the game. I thought it would be closer.

Bob, Nice win over the Dawgs. Boy Peyton pulled one out yesterday didn't he?

Got to run. Be back later.

Thin, we were posting at the same time. Maybe a 3 pound loss will motivate Rachel even more. I read where she was measuring. That is good. Sometimes you are surprised what a portion you should be eating is.

THIN: That is great about Rachel! My doctor was sure glucophage would help me lose, but I was one of the weird ones it did not help. I hope it ends up being a great encouragement for her. I recently had my dose increased and its doing a number on my system!

Thin--Hope your daughter gets over her case of "virus" and continues to lose weight the healthy way. Good for you for taking her to the dietician.

Solly--Sorry about the loss to the ole ball coach. He had to pul out one of his Spurrier plays to win. He is a genius. I just hope we can beat USC/Spurrier when he comes to Gainesville.
Hope you are doing great weightwise.

BOB and Monet--I got this off a message board from a LSU fan who came to Gainesville and then posted on a Gator board his experience. Thought you'd like to see that Gator fans are actually very nice. There is, like at every school, the occasional obnoxious drunk student who acts like a jerk. But overall, Gators are classy.
". . . all of you that responded with good advice to my questions concerning travel, parking and tailgating around the swamp. excellent suggestions all the way around that we utilized in order to have a great trip. we ran the lawtey, starke, waldo gauntlet with no problems....likely because we were reading speed limit signs in 4 part harmony because of ya'll warning us ahead of time. we bought some parking space from some young ladies that lived less than 2 blocks from the swamp and partied with a bunch of gators before the game. the atmosphere was the best i have visited in my trips to all of the sec stadiums. of course, i still think Tiger Stadium is the best, but the swamp is my unchallenged #2. EVERY florida fan we encountered was very nice and helpful beforehand and were gracious winners afterwards. like a lot of others i had heard horror stories concerning the gator students, etc. none of those proved to be true in my case."

We are leaving for the Plains Wednesday morning. We will be staying with my DH's cousin for one night and then at Callaway Gardens for the rest of the time, driving over to Auburn for the game late in the afternoon. Parking is really bad there and we have usually had to park so far away that we have to walk miles just to get to the stadium, not to even mention the little town itself. It will be interesting in the dark, as the game starts at 7:45 pm. Things will be returning to normal in my life when we get back on Sunday.

Gator- Rachel's side effects were due to her being put on glucophage last week to help her lose weight. She has insulin resistance syndrome.

EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!

Still home with my knee. Need to go to the Doc and get another x-ray done. The knee is popping and cracking beyond belief! It hurts too, not as bad as in the beginning, but still....OUCH!!!

I've got chicken on the grill, brussel sprouts on the stove, and a potato in the oven. Kate will eat the insides of the tator, and I'm going to eat the outside.

My neighbors arrived today from Mass. so I guess the flock is moving southward! They said their trip was postponed three days due to the heavy rains up their way. We need some down this way, but the weather is beautiful...no humidity and a good breeze...can't ask for too much more!

HELLO TO EVERYONE....I'm off to get some things done before my TV shows start.

LATER!!

I just got in from church. Dinner went well. I brought home some leftovers and James has about polished off the leftover potatoes. Go James! The roast turned out pretty good, so I am happy.

I am flat out exhausted, so I am heading to bed. Good night! Sweet dreams!

Good morning ladies. Gosh this board is soo slow! Where is everyone?

I was totally wiped out yesterday. Even my DD said I was irritable. I finished up in the kitchen around 8:30 and was asleep on the couch by 8:45. Got up and went to bed at 9:10. Then I woke up at 2:30 with my legs bothering me, walked around the house and finally got back to sleep around 3:30. I hate that.

I took a spill in Nashville (yes, I was sober). I had worn boots with a taller heel than normal. The sidewalks are bricks so I guess I slipped or something. Down I went. Tore up my hand and did something to my shin. The next day I could hardly walk. Wasn't sure if it was broken. But I don't do doctors right away. I iced it and put it in the hot tub. Last night it was so pretty, I didn't want to go to the gym, but didn't think I could walk. But we headed out anyway and I could turn around if I had too. I stuck it out the 3 miles, but it was painful. later I was getting ready to get in the hot tub and realized it felt much better. It is sore to the touch, but I think it is just bruised. My thigh is so too so I must have twisted my leg. We have the breast cancer walk this Sat, so I have to be able to walk 3 miles.

My DD started a new job yesterday. It was rather stressfull. We are only a few blocks away, so she comes here to eat lunch with me. I wish we could ride in together to save the gas, but she doesn't go in until 9:00.

3 lbs of water gone. 4 more to go. I didn't realize how much I hated being "UP" on Mondays. Got t keep that in mind.

Gator, have a wonderful trip. Hope you get to meet up with Susan.

Bob, better have that knee checked out again.

Monet, glad your dinner went well, but we knew it would.

Heartmom, good luck on your DNC today.

Tech, Thunder, Sef, Pancho, Julia, plus many more I can't recall at this time, come on back here.

Got to run. Have a great day.

AFTERNOON EVERY BUDDY!!!

OK...here's something off THE VOL NATION BOARD

Speaking for myself I think I follow UT because they are the University of Tennessee. In other words they are the soldiers of Tennessee. They to me embody the fighting spirit of everything it is to be a hard working, honest and decent Tennessean.

GATOR...You don't want to read what I found about the GATOR FANS....you're the only one that was even half way good!!!!

JACKIE...GET THEE TO A DOC!!! You know this board isn't too KNEE FRIENDLY!!!

I'm off to see if I can ROWSE SUSAN!!

Howdy. Got back yesterday evening from our visit to our son in Texas. It was hard to say good bye to him knowing I won't see him for a year. We got to stop by the oldest boys house in Okla. and visit a bit on the way home. So it was a good trip. My eating hasn't been good. And I haven't even weighed in yet. I forgot to this morning. Well back on track now. I've been unpacking and washing. Also made a loaf of sour dough bread this morning. We sure need to grocery shop. I've got to figure out something for dinner too. Maybe fish. Got to run and fix lunch for DH will try to be back in awhile.
