Hi all, the guys have gone to see the new pirate movie and I opted to stay home and watch something on the dvr. Big mistake because I took myself to dairy queen Now I have consumed a medium strawberry cheesequake that cost 4.00 and don't feel that great. Why couldn't I have had some s/f vanilla ice cream that I have at home topped with fresh strawberries that I have at home?

Good morning! I slept really poorly. I feel crabby. I had a massage yesterday, and I am a bit sore from not drinking enough water. Tom is not feeling well, and still in bed. Looks like it will be a challenging day today. I will check in later!

Good morning. Travis fixed my car last night so I can finally leave the house!!! My first goal is to get to water aerobics. I haven't been in over a week!! I jsut can't wait to get in the water. I left both of my swimsuits in the car in my pool bag. THey must not have been rinsed well enough, because the heat has eaten out all of the elastic. And I bought them both in MArch!!

I have to get to the bank, and I need to go buy some cloth diapers for the baby. With JAcob I just used disposable till he was bigger, because the cool ones I have are for 10 lbs and up. SO I'm jsut going to get some good old fasioned pref-olds and pins for when Lucas is newborn. We need to save some $$ and he'll end up in cloth soon anyway.

My mom just called me and said she has decided that she HAS to lose some weight. THank Goodness!! HEr health is already so bad, I know that it woudl help. So I'm encouraging her to do a SB diet. But she hates diets with 'names and books'. Doesn't trust them. But she ate Shredded wheat for breakfast instead of cherrios. I won that one

Monet- Get som rest

KayC- When Travis and I went to the Bahamas in April, they had jsut finished filming that movie. We drove an hour out to sneak past security into the abandoned set. We even snuck onto one of the boats!!

BOB- We love you!!!!

Gator- I sure HOPE he comes before you come back?

Teensy- how did you liek your water aerobics? TOday will be my first time using my leg weights and gloves. I can't wait!!

HEart- You're right, If he needs more time to develop and be ready, I'm absolutley ok with that. That's more important than my impatience to kiss his little face.

Hi Ladies,

Yesterday was DH's birthday so we went to dinner with the kids at a Mexican restaurant. I need not say any more.

Today, my boss is taking us out for lunch. Don't know where. That will propbably be a salad for me. My stomach is killing me for some reason. probably last night's dinner.

Monet, sorry Tom is feeling poorly and you are crabby. Maybe a nap will help. Feel better.

KayeC, why do we make those wrong choices. that voice is our head has to go.

Bob, see, each day it will get better. You are very smart and don't let yourself think you aren't. it's a job. Everyone is slow learning something new. We have a new system here and I screw something up every day.

Heart, hope you made it through your long day. What did you decide on for supper?

Tech, congrats to your DD. Proud always makes me bawl too. Glad you got some answers and no "C". But please watch it. I don't want to scare you, but I have read of people being told they have an infection and it was actually IBS. So please watch it carefully. I just want to prevent anyone from going through Breast cancer. :hugs:

Teensy, let us know how the water aerobics went. How nice to have your son so close again. Maybe 1/2 hour is just the right distance. Not to close, not to far.

Gator, if you are not already gone, have a wonderful trip, try not to worry about your house too much. We will miss you.

Got to get busy. have a great day.

Talitha, we were posting at the same time. Glad you are able to get out. Maybe the water aerobics will do the trick.

Default Well, look who the cat drug in. . .

Yes it's me. Long lost me. I've actually been lurking with no time to post, but I have a few minutes this morning.

The election cycle in Alabama is really screwed up this year. I had seven candidates in the June primary. I won 4 outright, lost one and have two in the run-off next Tuesday. Our run-off is usually the last week in June but it got extended the 18th so that our military voters overseas would have time to vote absentee. Then I'm involved in a set of municipal elections in August and then the general election in November! So when I thought I'd get back after the primary--that got thrown off.

I did get to NC in June to see my niece graduate from HS, but that is all the vacation I will have until a quick three day trip to the beach over Labor Day weekend (relax Bob--we are going to the game on Saturday and then the beach Sunday-Wednesday).

Monet--Atlanta--so near and yet so far. . . I'm trying to be better about looking for "me" time, but as you see from above, it's a challenge. Of course, if you're crabby I'd better steer clear. . .

Solly--Mexican is the worst for me--I see it wasn't any better for you.

Talitha--What? You haven't had that kid yet????? Let's get a move on girl--or should I be speaking to Lucas?

Gator--Have a good trip!

Bob--You ain't stoopid girlfriend--it just takes a while to learn a new routine. Give yourself a break! We love you and it's only 50 days until football season begins so life can't be all bad!

Tech--Glad to hear you got the good news from the Dr. Don't you hate it when medicine is soooo expensive. My DF just got an antibiotic that was over $200 and not covered by his VA benefits. OUCH!

Teensy--I know you are glad to have your son so close.

Heart--Great to see you!

Country--you too!

Kayec-- hear you--just do better next time!

Everyone else--HeLLO!

Have a great OP day everyone!

Susan

What a crazy week for me. Its a 3 hour drive to my heart doctors and an all day trip. So that's where I was yesterday. We didn't get home till 6 last night. I stopped by Wal Mart to get a rotisserie chicken and they didn't have any so I ended up getting Colonel Sanders for dinner. I had one breast and no more. Also had a couple glasses of wine. I'm not going to let that get me down. Today its back on eating right. My doctor was pleased with my carotid and heart tests. Its so important to keep my cholesterol down as I have coronary artery disease. Anyway that's all over. I'm tired to day and so I don't plan on doing much. Think I need to go lay down.

Ok, I am back after 50 minutes in the pool, and generally being sluggish. I need to go think about lunch. I am feeling hypoglycemic, after the exercise. I did not have anything but some steel cut oatmeal for breakfast....and espresso.

Wow...look who posted! FILLISE! I have been thinking about you, and thinking I needed to send you an email. I am sorry you have been so busy. You DO need ME time...and if HOTLANTA is something you would enjoy, I am SURE my mood would be considerably improved by your smiling face. You aren't going to make me come to Auburn are you?

TONI: I hope you feel rested and up and at em after a nap!

SOLLY: Argh! I know what you mean about Mexican! My blood sugar levels are always through the roof when I eat Mexican!

TALITHA: Where do you find cloth diapers anymore? Hang in there...this baby is going to be here soon. Do you feel like coming over here and swimming? You are welcome to, if you like.

Ok, my friends. Lunch is calling...

BOB: We were posting at the same time! Dearest, take care! I can't believe you are sick AGAIN! I will tell Tom to eat a banana...I just happen to have a few. What is up with the bananas? He has a sore throat and is congested. The stinker already gave it to me, as I am congested too.

Well, I blew it again I'm soooooooooooo sick of this. I feel like dirt because of it. I ate M&M's yesterday simply because they were passed out at work(I could have said no thanks), then I ate a croissant sandwich with chips, AND for supper I ate stupid TACO BELL!!!!!! I need to get a grip here. I woke up and said it's a new day and a new start. Put all this behind you and just move forward. I deserve to loose this weight and reap the benefits from it. So back on the wagon again today, you know my butt is starting to get sore with all these splinters I've been getting, lol. So I'm going to post my menu and really stick with it!

BF- had a WW English Mcmuffin with 2 eggs and a slice of 2% cheese.
Snack-grapefruit
Lunch- Smart Ones LC dinner(ya know, the one I was suppossed to eat yesterday!), and yogurt
Snack-apple
Supper- deer stir fry(cubed deer steak cooked with frozen stir fry veggies, no rice for me!)
Dessert- a NSA fudge pop or creamsicle

I just got emailed that the bank is having something for lunch tomorrow that they won't say what it is. I emailed my boss back to let her know not to get my share that I'll be bringing my own. I got to stop this. Just because something is there, doesn't mean I have to eat it and then gorge myself. I think I might bring something yummy like a SBD pizza I've had in the freezer awhile and a salad. I love the SBD pizzas and was surprised to see they aren't bad in salt compared to all their other meals, which I don't buy because of the sodium content. Anyhoo, I've been trying to type this for an hour now, it's getting busy so I gotta go! Have a good SBing day!

Hi Monet, Sorry you aren't feeling so hot. Would a swim help? (I see you have taken one)

Talitha, Sounds like you are in the stage where you have a lot of energy. Surely that means the baby is almost ready to come.

Solly, Don't even mention Mexican food....
But tonight I'm making a baked mushroom steak with legal sides. So I'll keep my fingers crossed to stay legal.

Hi Fillise!

Hi Bob, How do bananas help you with a virus? Have you ever been checked out by an immunologist? I'm wondering about your immune system.

Heart, I too have had trouble since we got back from Hawaii and on the 22nd we are going to San Antonio so I'm just going to have to make the best choices I can and just have an occasional treat.

Have any of you used Splenda to make homemade icecream?

I'm working Friday, Saturday and Sunday so I'll probably check in again on MMM. Have a good weekend and stay cool. We are going to have triple digits!! KayeC

Hey, Fillese!

Just another check-in. Just got thru with lunch, sticking to my menu. It was pretty good, just not much food in those frozen dinners. I always have to eat something with it to feel cotent(sp?) like yogurt or a sf pudding, veggies or whatever. Today was yogurt. I'm going to try to eat an apple around 4:30 or so to keep from getting so hungry by the time I get home to cook. It'll be probably 7:40 before before we eat. I hate eating that late and then going to bed around 9, that's only 1 hour after eating. But I don't have another choice. I need to run!

I am embarrassed to say my day has been totally lazy! I did clean up the kitchen some, and did a 27 Fling Boogie, Flylady style. Then I played Harvest Moon while Tom took a nap. He is feeling better after sleeping in the sun, then taking some Nyquil and taking a nap in the bed.

Lunch was two eggs in a hole using one slice of ww bread. For a snack, I had an apple, and a few triscuits with cheese. I am feeling ravenous right now, but I know better than to eat anything. The lizard will be vengeful if I do...

Hi everyone.

Talitha: I'm glad for us, sad for you, to see you still around. I know once the baby comes, you'll be on hiatus for a little while. Hope its soon!! Those last few days, its easy to start thinking, "Okay, I'm not really pregnant...it's all just some wierd prank..."

Monet: Everyone's entitled to a lazy day here and there. I hope to have one soon!!

Laurie: Trying to stay on track at work is HARD!! An apple on hand is a good idea.

Kaye: If I had a Dairy Queen nearby, I'd be 500 pounds!! Consider yourself good for not going more often. I can't believe you skipped out on the movie...I love going to the movies!!

Bob: You poor thing...at least she prescribed bananas...I've seen doctors suggest taking worse things!! Hope you're feeling better SOON!!

Toni: Glad you had a good report from the doctor. I have to drive an hour and a half to my doctor...so I feel your pain. It's just my regular doctor.

Fillese: Bleh...politics. I love them, but hate them, just the same. If I were single and had no kids, I'd get into campaining...it would be fun...but my husband and I get at odds about some things, so it gets to be unfun fast.

Solly: Thanks for the concern. We start new insurance in September and once we get on it, I"m going to a real ob/gyn for a real pap smear and mammo. The good news for me is there is no breast cancer history in my family, but I know that that is no guarantee....someone has to the be the first in the families that have a history of it. But, a thorough exam is definitely on my list of to-do's right off the bat.

Well, so, anyhow...I was at the beach all day with my kids and my cousin, Barb and her kids. We all got a little pinkish and my back needs some aloe, but it feels good to get the sun. Tomorrow I don't think I have ANYTHING to do, so I'm going to get caught up on my laundry and weeds in my yard.

And, just as I thought...Derek's started his new job and where is he? VERMONT. But just for today. He'll be home around midnight. At least they don't make him stay all week.

So, for breakfast I had a bowl of Kashi and an apple a little later. For lunch, I ate at my moms and had an olive loaf (I love olive loaf...don't know why...but I love it) sandwich on WW and macaroni salad (not legal) and some potato chips. I've had worse illegal lunches, and I DID work it off in the water swimming, so I'm not going to let it get me down. Then for dinner I just had my vitamins, two slices of sourdough and a big salad with lettuce, carrots, green peppers, tomatoes, onions and dressing. And I had my daily big glass of green iced tea. I may have a cheese stick in a minute.

Well, gotta run. TAlk to you guys later on. And, by the way, my spot is still there, but it's no longer maroon in color, but very light pink. THe antibiotics seem to be working. And the new cream for the ghastly ringworm (I hate that word - it sounds like I have worms crawling around my skin!!) works wonders...completely gone!!
