Good Morning Ladies.....

The sun is shining and it is supposed to be fairly decent today, and today only!! Rain, rain, and more rain tomorrow. So I am headed out to my rhubarb patch, dh has requested a cobbler. I make them sugar free and with WW flour so they are legal, just not a good thing to have around all the time. If I make him keep it out in the other refer in the shop, I am okay with it. Spent yesterday in town, had to pick up dh prescription, and all of his breakfast cereals. Rosauer's was having their 13 hour cereal sale. The good part was that they had their BB Lite 85 yogurts on sale, 3 for 99 cents!!! Stocked up on those for sure!! Not much going on, so will get busy.....

Monet-- I am sorry, I guess I missed finding out that you were diagnosed with diabetes. With proper diet and exercise I am sure that you will have those levels under control in no time. I wish I were there, then we could walk together. I absolutely love my walks with Buddy. When Vicky was here she walked with us two days, and it is much more fun to walk with someone that answers you back when you talk to them, lol. Even so, I do love my Buds and I know that he gets something out of our outings too. He has never been in better shape!!

Gator-- Did I miss something here too? Are you remodeling your home? We all wish that we could be the small petite 110 pound beauty.....but alas......here we are, all of us working our tails off. I'm glad that we are becoming much more healthier, as well as smaller. We are still learning, and maybe it is a lesson that your sister has already learned. You are a beautiful woman, and don't ever forget that!!

Heart- I went to Wal Mart yesterday, but couldn't find any of the Apple Cider Vinegar powder......but the pharmacist said not to put much faith in it anyway......

Solly-- See you when you drop back in!!

Talitha-- You look beautiful..........and Selah is a living doll!! Thanks for sharing with us.

Ann-- Hello, Congrats to your son......I think.......Lucky you, teenage driver in the house!!

Just flying by. Not much going on here. I just finished baking the cake for the wedding tomorrow. Ruth will come in the morning and decorate it. I may end up going to the wedding with James, who is doing the photography, just to help him. Laura is sick and unable to go. Bummer, as it is her friend getting married.

Tom got home, swam and is now making dinner mumblings. I guess I ought to think about what to feed him.

TEENSY: Yes, I had quite a time of it...my blood sugar was astronomical, and I did not know it. In addition, I was in ketoacidosis, which can be really dangerous for a diabetic. Its just providential that I went in to this new doctor when I did....

Later!

Here I am talking to myself again! We got the wedding cakes done and delivered. I ended up doing more than I wanted to do on them. AND, now there is a mess to clean up. I imagine I will have a hard time getting any one to help me.

I was terribly disappointed. I spent 45 minutes in the pool doing water aerobics and it did NOTHING for my blood sugar!

Everyone is hanging out here now. I guess I ought to go and be sociable.

Teensy--Yes, we are doing some remodeling. Mainly converting a large screened in back porch into an enclosed room with super large windows that can open to let lots of air in, so we hope to have the best of a screened in porch with the ability to close it up in incliment weather. We are also doing are bathroom, mainly retiling our shower and then one thing led to another and we are just fixing up here and there.

The have finished our bedroom and I have put everything back, after dusting very carefull. It looks like home! We are happy clams. It looks great too! I think we will back in our own bathroom by the end of next week. The shower looks wonderful.

It is fixing to rain, and my DH said we are supposed to get a tropical storm here next week. UGH! After the hurricanes I don't want anything near to a hurricane.

Just thought I'd check in. Not much action on the board this weekend.

It is a quiet Sunday here. Tom finally took the time to fix the new blinds. Unfortunately, he tied the lead strings too tight and will have to take them down and loosen them. It will be nice though, to have that window covered. It is so hot with the sun coming in there, that it just about melted my oil pastels! I picked one up and the tip of it slowly fell over!

There is a picnic after church tonight. Tom wants to go. I am not too keen on it. I need to think of something for us to carry for it. I would love to stop and get something, as a picnic on the grounds in this HOT weather does not appeal to me!

I will check in later! Maybe someone will read this by then!

The picnic was ok. We left early though. Just did not feel 'into' it tonight...

We had boiled shrimp and salad. It was actually very good, and very easy! Some folks had quite a spread.
