Challenges!!
:carrot: It's SPRING! Go for a walk outside and enjoy it. If you live too far north, enjoy the last of winter...spring IS just around the corner!
:carrot::carrot: Try a new recipe and give a report. :carrot::carrot::carrot: Do something nice for yourself this week! It can't be food related...it has to be something else! Like a pedicure, or a manicure, or a massage.... |
Good early morning, everyone! MMM...I'm holding fast to 155 this morning. I'm hoping that goes down because I went walking like a maniac this weekend. Saturday I walked about three miles with Junior. It was sunny and I only needed a spring jacket! Then I had to do an 'up-do' for a girl in the ice skating show that is a graduating Senior (which means this is her last year skating and then she's off to college) and Derek was cleaning out the garage and had the bikes out, so I rode my bike to Jen's house. Which was about a two mile trip. I took a hot bath that night. Then yesterday it was really foggy out, but I love weather like that...it's great for my sinuses, so I took Junior for a nice long walk...maybe a mile and a half. It's so nice to get out and about again and get out of the house!!
I've cured the sloppy Junior problem very simply by just putting his leash on him and standing on my sidewalk while he does his business, then its BACK in the house before he gets all muddy. Don't know why I didn't think of that before...but the back yard is definitely off limits till is dries up!! Where's Cindy been? Okay...back to my morning...hope all MMM's are showing losses!! Kris |
Hi all,
I lost 2 more lbs and am now at 27lbs total so far on my losing. Hope everyone has a great day. Take care!!! |
:carrot: Another two pounds gone!:carrot:
I'll take it, though sometimes I wish it would happen just a little faster! Two pounds a week is what they recommend, so I guess I'm finally doing something right!:D We went out for another long walk yesterday. That makes two Sundays in a row. I am much less sore this morning than I was last week. We went to MIL again yesterday and she had chicken, green beans, potatoes and cauliflower. So I had cauliflower and no potatoes. I also took a lite yogurt for me to have for dessert and wouldn't you know this week she actually had some sugar free ice cream pops, but I stuck with my yogurt!;) So I did not do bad! Maybe I can keep it up and add in another day of walking every week and build from there! |
Good Monday Morning,
OK, I've lost what I gained last week so total lost is 12 lbs. Considering all the good food I've eaten over the last six weeks, I'm very happy about the loss. Carole |
Happy MMM Everyone!
My two pounds stayed gone, which thrilled me! I thought it was going to be another half, but then the batteries wore out, and when I got them replaced, it just stuck. So, I gave up! :) I am cooking dinner for 50 at church tonight and have tons to do, so I may only be flying by a few times today. I will hopefully be back tonight... |
OK, Now I have time to note the challenges...
1. I went for a gorgeous walk yesterday, about 2 miles. I will try to get out another day this week, but they are calling for severe storms this afternoon, so probably not today!:rain: 2. I bought some turkey breast fillets to fix tonight, and I'm going to try making a mushroom sauce/gravy to go with it. May be some mashed cheesy caulifower and green beans also?:dunno: My mom used to make these fillets, but I've not had them in years! We have tried brussels sprouts, stuffed zucchini, swiss chard and the mashed caulifower all in the last few weeks and they're all good. Who would have thunk this time last year that we'd be eating this stuff and enjoying it!;) 3.I'll have to think on the nice for myself part. :chin: |
Happy Monday Ladies
I'm really glad it's Monday. Staying at home all weekend with DD made me stir crazy. We watched ball games all day Sat and Sun. It rained the entire weekend, which wasn't so bad since I couldn't get out. We ran out for about an hour each day while she was sleeping. Eating was not good. Staying at home doing nothing only makes you want to eat. Surprisingly, I stayed the same this week. I'll take it gladly. I really going to tweak my eating this week. I am determined to be in a new set of numbers next MMM. Sure hope I can get to the gym tonight. I know DD won't be able to go. I hate to leave her since she was home all day today alone. If not, I will do some exercises at home. Monet, I love your avator. You both look so in love. You amaze me with your dinners. Mimosas for breakfast. Now that's my kind of breakfast! Tech, I'm holding the same with you. Next we we both will see a loss. Good job on all your walking. Nice weather sure makes it easier. Thunder, Congrats on your loss. You are doing great. Thin, great job at your MIL's and on your loss. 2 lbs a week is great. I hope you ate some green beans too. I have added so many different veggies to my diet. Things I never thought I would eat. It's amazing. Dripping, congrats on your 12 lbs. That is awesome. Another pants size down? Gator, congrats on your Gator's victory. It was a lot closer than I thought it would have been. I can't believe UT got a 2 seed and Gators a 3. (Sorry BOB). I can't wait until Thursday for the games to begin. Bob, yes I do feel swollen after Mexican. But I do love it. Teensy, have a wonderful trip. She will love the cards I'm sure. Country, sending prayers for your FIL. Keep us posted. Got to run. Have a great OP day. |
I'm such an idiot!!! I was called for jury duty for today and TOTALLY FORGOT!!!!!! I keep trying to call the # and get a busy signal. WHat the heck do I do? I know I should be exempt with the 2 kids, right? No way can I pay $12 an hour for a babysitter for THAT!!
I did my water class in my new maternity bathingsuit today. Finally had to go get one because my regular tankini was looking pretty rediculous. Today's menu: B- 1/2 WW bagel w cream cheese, Grapefruit juice L- 2 slices of turkey with laughing cow sheese. It was good!!!, 1 clementine S- An apple with peanut butter D- Who knows.. I'll be at my mom's..... So I've started off good. We're booking or tickets to the Bahama's tonight. I'm so excited!!!!!! I've got about $4,000 of products to sort and deliver this week, a business launch on friday, then I fly to Columbus OH for a launch on Saturday evening!!! It's gonna be crazy.... TEch- You're sure to lose something with all of that exercise!!! Thunder- You are doing so great!!! One more pound and you'll have lsot my 3 year old!!! She's 28 lbs... Thin- You dod great at your Mil's!!! Now didn't that feel awesome!! I don't know if I could have turned down the SF pops.... Dripping- Great job. I can't wait to have this baby and start losing again :) Monet- Not bad after a wedding. I sooo pig out with weddings and friends in town!! Are you up for the market on friday at 1? Solly  Ok, I'm off to the post office, the grocery store, and my mom's |
Howdy ya'll
Eating was really bad last week with all the stress. I knew I was stress eating but that didn't stop me. A lot of nervous energy waiting on test results and recovery from surgery. Robert's daddy had a blockage (cancer). At first they didn't think he would make it through the night but he's doing much better now. He is even getting his own room some time today. :) I'm pretty sure I stayed the same this week but I'll weight again tomorrow to be sure.
We went to the feed store today to get the rest of our seeds and some plants for the garden. I couldn't believe they had the "patty pan" seeds. It's a white squash that looks kinda like a flower. I had to get some more squash and zucchini seeds because I mixed mine up when the wind scattered them the other day. Even though I don't know for sure which ones are which they are starting to sprout and I'm still going to plant them. Chances are they will cross pollinate and I'll end up with green and yellow squash. That has happened in the past when they were planted close together. They are predicting rain most of the week so I'm hoping to get the beans and corn in the ground in the next two days. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! To this weeks losers and those who are keeping on keeping on. You guys are the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope each of you has a SUPER week. Love and hugs, Crystle |
Newbie
Hi my name is Alisha and i am a "newbie" to this board! I have been looking into doing sugarbusters "again" but unfort. can not afford to buy the book right now....when i did it if i remember right it was basically meat and eggs and grapefruit juice. Is that how it is now? Can someone give me a sample of what to eat? And what i can do for best weight loss results? I really need to get some weight off!! I will by the book soon, i just have to wait until money gets a little better.....any information anyone can give would be GREATLY appreciated!! Thank you in advance!!

Country: Sounds like you'll have a fun 'mystery' garden this year! I'm plantin' nothin' but tomatoes this year. Everything else was just out of control for me. I'm so glad your FIL is on his way to recovery. Getting his own room is huge. It'll boost his morale, that's for sure! Hugs and prayers that he continues to get better!
Talitha: Geez...I don't know what to tell you about the jury duty. Gawd... I'd get on the phone and make sure you call someone and make sure you take the name of anyone that says it's okay that you didn't show. I wish I'd known you needed a maternity swimsuit. I have one thats still in good condition. I know, swapping bathing suits is almost the same as swappign undies, but they're so darn expensive...if you want it, PM me your address and I'll send it on down!! Have a fabulous time with all your globe trotting!! :carrot: Thin: Rain and cold is keeping me indoors today. Brr...WTG on the two pounds!! :carrot: Fantabulous!! Solly: Sounds like you were bored this weekend...but at least you were cozy!! ;) Monet: So glad your two #s stay off...in spite of your fancy shmancy breakfasting!! :s: Carole: How long has it taken to ditch the 12 #s? That is a nice jump start, don't you think? Very encouraging. Keep it up!! YOu should be proud of yourself!! Thunder: HOW many pounds in HOW long a timeframe? Wow!! That's fabulous!! You should be over the moon with that!! Well, I had chili for lunch and probably the same for dinner. Derek's in VT again this week, so I made a potfull this weekend for me to pick off for the week. And I just made a pot of fresh-brewed iced green tea!! Derek got me an iced tea brewer off eBay and it works GREAT!! Three green tea bags and a huge pitcher of ice and viola!! Iced tea!! Okay...I'm off to flip laundry...talk to you guys later on!! Kris |
Okay, Alisha. Laundry can wait. No, no, nooooo....Sugar Busters is so much more than that!! First off...do you have a library nearby? Get the book and read it. There are two prongs I go by on Sugar Busters...no whites...meaning white flour, white rice and white potatoes. The other is one protien, two fruits/veggies per meal and ALWAYS have a healthy snack between meals. What this means is you should have a meat and two veggies or fruits per meal. You can have whole grain things in moderation...like two servings per day. A lot of us post our menus every day, so read what we eat and it should reflect this to some degree. For instance, if you had eggs and some cantaloupe and strawberries for breakfast or oatmeal (the real kind) and blueberries and a grapefruit with some sausage or bacon. That type thing. A sandwich for lunch with deli meat on WHOLE WHEAT bread or a pita and some lettuce and a tomato on it or something like that. Dinner...maybe some chicken and a salad and cantaloupe...that type thing. Read the book and we'll help keep you on track!!
Welcome to the board!! We'll answer all your questions!! |
I'll be back later, but I was hoping to see TONI on here..I'm kinda worried about her since all those storms went through MO...
