Ok, I have written posts 3 times today and they haven't gone through. Has anyone else had problems posting today?

I did well for breakfast and lunch, not so much for dinner. But I did get in my water aerobics today. We have a new instructor on Tuesdays and she really kicks butt!! The lady on M,W and F is a little too weak for me, but I still go. Moving for an hour has to be good no matter what, right? But I'm going to make an effort not to miss tuesdays now with this one. my arms and legs are actually a bit sore!

It looks like the trip to the bahamas will be the second week of May. Any idea if we're going to run into allot of spring breakers? Being homeschooled and never doing traditional college, I have no idea when that falls. We will fly to Grand Bahama Island. Travis is trying to get us a condo. He want's to go for the full week and I think 4 days is enough. Lining up childcare is stressfull enough, I don't want to do it for 3 more days of it!

Ok, trav needs my computer for something, so I'm going to do replies later. I want to make sure this post even goes through before I write more!!

Hi all,

I have been sooo busy the last few days. I worked for my mom cooking for her crew working on the house for she and my step-dad. Plus I rearranged all her rummage sale stuff..she has it stacked to the garage ceiling.;) I have also been teaching her the goods on SugarBusters. Shes doing much better. Of course my step-dad is not happy about sweets leaving the house:D Hes also not happy moms not buying white bread anymore either...lol Hes a RN and he should be happy they are eating healthier...lol. I will have to fix him up a SB legal sweet. Extra special. Can anyone recommend a irresistable sugar free sweet. Mom already feels better and has more energy. I also feel great and am almost never tired unless I work extra hard...:D :cloud9:

Alisha-Welcome:welcome3:

To everyone else have a wonderful nite and Day tomorrow. I have the day off tomorrow so I might get to post to everyone.

Good Evening Everyone,

I've not been very good these past two nights. I hope the weather gets warmer and I can get out a little, maybe take a walk and not eat all night :(

Sonya, here's a terrific dessert that can be done in a flash, very tasty

SF Fudgesicle....microwave on a safe plate for 10 seconds so you can remove the stick. Top with a hearty tsp. of SF Peanut Butter and a nice dollp of lite Cool Whip.

Unfortunately I have to stay away from that dessert. Before I knew it, I was adding way too much PB and Cool Whip and then I started eating two of them a night, it is so good.

Good Morning!

This is the day I teach the whole day. Tom's truck is STILL in the shop, so I am going to have to ride with my neighbor. She goes an hour earlier than I do, so its a bummer. I guess I will write lesson plans or something.

THUNDER: I would think Deb's crustless cheesecake, with a no sugar added topping, like Polaner All Fruit black cherry preserves, would be an impressive dessert to use. I have also used the apricot. Its best if you don't refrigerate the Polaner, just open the jar and spoon it over the cheesecake. If you already have a jar open and want to use it, heat it up in the microwave a bit to make it more runny. Alternately, you could top the cheesecake with fresh strawberries, and decorate it with whipped cream out of a can.

I need to go hop in the shower...

REMEMBER, IT IS WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY.... SO POST YOUR WW....

Morning Ladies

Nothing going on with me. Made it to the gym last night. Cardio and lower leg exercises. I have bunco tonight. Hope she has something for dinner I can manage. I have a low calorie count so far today, so that will help. I always skip the desserts.

BOB, the aggravating thing is before chemo, I was in great shape with the RA. Seems chemo screwed it all up. My DD had a friend in grade school 12-14 that had JRA. You are right, back then, there was not much they coud do. Poor thing could hardly walk.

thin, you may not make your goal, but even 1 more pound toward it is a victory. The 4 you have lost is a victory.

Talitha, you and your baby are benefiting from all this water aerobics. My RA dr wants me to try water exercises. But I know I would not go.

Thunder, Have you ever tried Deb's cheesecake recipe. It is on the recipe board. Fantastic. Can't tell it is not real cheesecake. It does not have a crust, but I have made one out of pecans and it was good. Easy to make too.

Dripping, food just calls your name when you are stuck in the house. Try not to listen.

Monet, have a fun day at school

County, how is your FIL doing?

Fillise, where are you?

Missy, you promised to come back after Mardi Gras.

Toni, are you safe?

All others MIA, we miss you. Come on back.

Got to run. Have a great OP day.

CountryMom4Him 03-15-2006 12:51 PM

Good Morning

Howdy ya'll. Things have been so stressful. My eating is reflective of that. My father in law took a turn yesterday so now they say it's just a matter of time. They didn't really expect him to make it through the night. This cancer is so fast and so aggressive. Praise God he still has his senses about him and his family was able to tell him they loved him yesterday. They had to lessen his morphine so he was in more pain but as soon as they were able to talk with him they upped the medicine to make him comfortable again.

Welcome Mommy. Sorry it has taken me so long to welcome you to the group. I think you will get great results by June if you stick with the plan. I lost my initial weigth really fast but I had a lot to lose. Next month is my 5 year anniversary with SB. I can't hardley believe it's been that long. I've maintained a 75 pound loss. It was 80 but I gained serveral pounds this winter and have all but five of those off. :) I agree with Solly about really watching the breads and straches. They really affect my weight loss. I try to stick to one or less servings a day to lose.

Bob....saying a prayer for Toni. I don't know exactly where she lives either.

Talitha...your trip sounds so fun. I hope that you have a blast and come home with tons of awesome memories.

Monet...I hope you have a great day at school today and that all the children a little angels. :) ((hugzz))

dripping...hope you have a better on plan day today. I too haven't been the best with my eating.

Thunder...awesome for your mama. Isn't it great to have someone on plan with you. I feel like the lone ranger around here sometimes. Every one gets to eat everything they want. :)

Thin...WTG with getting in more walking. You will find it makes a big difference not only in your weight loss but in how you feel. I think it helps you rest better at night and is a great stress reliever.

Gator...praying that your mouth will feel normal again and not cause you so much pain.

tech...as always I just love reading your notes. They always make me smile.

I really need to get moving this morning..it's almost noon already..agh :)

Love and hugs,
Crystle

Thanks, Country Mom, for your good wishes. Actually, God answered them with a "yes" as the dentist wrapped two layers of rubberbands around the brackets that were cutting into my lips. They were big enough that they cushioned the sharp edges, so now it is not too bad. The top part of the brackets still cut into the inside of my top lip, but that is not as bad as cutting into the top edge of my lower lip. So, thanks. :)

Thunder--Yes, I concur with the suggestion about Deb's crustless SF cheesecake recipe. It is the greatest and I have used it as an elegant dessert when we had company over. I made sure I put the pan of water in the oven to help keep the top from splitting so much, and then when it came out of the oven I put a piece of saran wrap over the top, directly on the cake, to help keep those splits down. Then I washed a bunch of beautiful berries--strawberries, raspberries and blackberries and piled them high on the top of the cake. It was awesome. Can serve with a dollop of SF whipped cream if desired.

Weather is beautiful here today--in the mid 70's and sunny. Just a perfect day, in fact. It is supposed to be snow showers in Cincinnati on Friday, when we get there. Hmmmm. I'll have to get out my cold clothes.

Country--We are praying for you and your DH and his family. I hope everyone has peace at heart about what is happening.

Solly, Congrats on the Cats going dancing. Hope they do well.

KayeC 03-15-2006 03:19 PM

Hi all,
I was reading about you all talking about Deb's cheesecake and for WW I made the decision to challenge myself to make all next weeks menus from our recipe boards.
Should be totally easy with all the great choices.

Talitha, when I was eight months pregnant with my first child I got a notice to be a juror but I was able to call in and let them know how pregnant I was and that I didn't think I would be able to sit that long! Anyway they let me out of it with no trouble. I don't think they wanted to deliver any babies!

We had a sad story of a man who found a dead newborn baby in his backyard that had apparently been dragged there by an animal. Can you imagine how messed up a poor woman would have to be to abandon her child like that?

Scary news. After 6 months of nagging I finally got DH to go to the dermatologist. The mole I was worried about did turn out to be melanoma and it will be cut out next week. The dermatologist said that it hadn't gone down to the lower levels of skin so only cutting it out will be necessary.

Why are men so stubborn about going to the doctor :?:

thunderwoman62 03-15-2006 05:35 PM

Hi all,

Thanks ladies for the dessert advice. My step-dad loves cheesecake so I think thats the one for him.

Country-will say a prayer for you all.

I am a couple days early for Friday Funnies... These were posted over in the South Beach area by the mod there, Ruth...anyway, I laughed pretty hard, and thought you might enjoy them...

THE ORIGINAL HOLLYWOOD SQUARES

If you remember the Original Hollywood Squares and its comics, this may
bring a tear to your eyes. These great questions and answers are from the
days when "HollywoodSquares" game show responses were spontaneous and
clever not scripted and (often) dull, as they are now. Peter Marshall was
the host asking the questions, of course.

Q. Do female frogs croak?
A. Paul Lynde: If you hold their little heads under water long enough.

Q. If you're going to make a parachute jump, at least how high should you
be?
A. Charley Weaver: Three days of steady drinking should do it.

Q. What are "Do It," "I Can Help," and "I Can't Get Enough"?
A. George Gobel: I don't know, but it's coming from the next apartment.

Q. As you grow older, do you tend to gesture more or less with your hands
while talking?
A. Rose Marie: You ask me one more growing old question Peter, and I'll
give you a gesture you'll never forget.

Q. Paul, why do ****'s Angels wear leather?
A. Paul Lynde: Because chiffon wrinkles too easily.

Q. Charley, you've just decided to grow strawberries. Are you going to get
any during the first year?
A. Charley Weaver: Of course not, I'm too busy growing strawberries.

Q. In bowling, what's a perfect score?
A. Rose Marie: Ralph, the pin boy.

Q. It is considered in bad taste to discuss two subjects at nudist camps.
One is politics, what is the other?
A. Paul Lynde: Tape measures.

Q. During a tornado, are you safer in the bedroom or in the closet?
A. Rose Marie: Unfortunately Peter, I'm always safe in the bedroom.

Q. Can boys join the Camp Fire Girls?
A. Marty Allen: Only after lights out.

Q. When you pat a dog on its head he will wag his tail. What will a goose
do?
A. Paul Lynde: Make him bark?

habit of kissing a lot of people?
A. Charley Weaver: It got me out of the army.

Q. It is the most abused and neglected part of your body, what is it?
A. Paul Lynde: Mine may be abused, but it certainly isn't neglected.

Q. Back in the old days, when Great Grandpa put horseradish on his head,

A. Paul Lynde: Who told you about my elephant?

Q. When a couple have a baby, who is responsible for its sex?
A. Charley Weaver: I'll lend him the car, the rest is up to him

Q. Jackie Gleason recently revealed that he firmly believes in them and
has actually seen them on at least two occasions. What are they?
A. Charley Weaver: His feet.

Q. According to Ann Landers, what are two things you should never do in bed?
A. Paul Lynde: Point and laugh.

Just popping on to tell everyone I'm fine after the storms we had here in Missouri. Thank goodness the tornadoes missed us and we just got giant rain storms. Thanks for worrying about me....

nicolee 03-15-2006 07:35 PM

Hey guys. Turns out I didn't have the stomach bug. The nausea and cramping were accompanied by a migraine this morning. I went to work anyway and then left after being there only an hour. I took some migraine meds and slept most of the afternoon. I feel much better now.

Ellen 03-16-2006 07:53 AM

Good Morning!

I am going out for breakfast with a friend. I need to leave here to pick her up in a few minutes, but thought I would check in first. I am not sure where we are going...we had talked about a couple places. Breakfast, however, is easy to stay on plan. As long as I don't order hash browns or grits! :)

I did not sleep well last night, so I feel stiff, achy and crabby. I was thinking of making some espresso, but did not have time, really, to enjoy it. Right now, I really could enjoy crawling back in bed and sleeping until the weekend! :)

I better go get ready and leave. Have a great day, everyone!

:grouphug:

Ellen 03-16-2006 07:54 AM

TONI: Thanks for checking in. I am glad all is ok with you. Why have you been MIA? You know we love you...come back!

ThinWithin225 03-16-2006 08:20 AM

I had a long post typed out last night and was on the last sentence when it just disappeared! It's like my computer kicked me off or something! I even had replies in it! OOHHH! Anyway, hope everyone is having a great day! and I WAS thinking of all of you last night!

We went out and walked again last night!:running: On Monday we went about .5 mile and back, last night it was maybe .6. So a little further and would have been more if it had not been getting dark. We live out where there are no streetlights or anything and I don't particularly care to be out there in the dark!:^:
