Default Legal vs Illegal

Is there a place that I can find a list of Sugarbusters legal foods and illegal foods. I started out on Southbeach but I really think I'd rather go with Sugarbusters. The last time I did southbeach I lost it in phase 2...I think I added back too many good carbs at the same time.

Hi there! The basic list of what is not allowed on Sugarbusters is white flour, white sugar, white potatoes, white rice, corn, beets, bananas, pineapple. Anything over 3 grams of sugar per serving is not ok. Enriched flour is NOT ok. You can have 100% whole grains, whole wheat, brown rice, sweet potatoes, etc. A good reference is the Sugarbusters shopping guide. I found it a few years back at the grocery store with the books, but I have seen it on Amazon and in bookstores. Its cheap and has a nice full list of what is ok and what is not. The book itself has some info too. Have you read the book? I highly recommend it. It just helps to know what the program is all about. Please feel free to ask questions and all on the weekly support board. That is where you will get the best response, as that is where most of the SB group hangs out.

I've read the book but I didn't know that there is a shopping guide. I know my library doesn't have the shopping guide b/c if they did I would have checked it out too. I'll have to check amazon and get me one.

You can also buy it through the SB website. It's a little paperback and it's about $5. I thought it was hokey but bought it anyway and it really does help keep you on track when you hit the bright lights and myriad of options at the grocery store! It's actually kind of fun to try some of the things you wouldn't normally eat. Happy shopping!
