Smile New here!

Howdy! My name is Michelle and I just recently began trying Sugarbusters and to be Sugar-Free. I gave birth to a son back in December and have lost 31 pounds since bringing me to 209. I haven't been successful yet at giving up the sugar, but I'm trying. I just wanted to introduce myself as I'm going to be spending some time here..

Welcome to the boards. Good luck on your weight loss. I am also attempting a Sugar Busters type diet plan though I have not been as strict with it as I should be since it is very difficult to stick to a vegetarian diet and Sugar Busters. I may have to give up the vegetarianism.

Default You can be a vegitarian...

Hi there!

Just wanted to chime in to let you know that you can be a vegitarian and do SB. I did it 3 years ago. I eat meat now, so maybe I'm not the best spokesperson, ha ha, but I did do the ovo-lacto vegitarian thing successfully before. I ate nuts and nut butters, soy products (tofu, soy burgers, Garden Burgers, etc.), eggs and dairy for protein and just all the whole wheat/grains and vegetables the book reccomends. Combining that with exercising at least 3 times a week, I lost 35 lbs. in 3 months. Don't compromise your values and lifestyle to follow the plan. You can make it work for you.

Cheers!
