Default New ~ my confession & "Hello" :-)

Hi all!

Just a quick "Hello" :-) A friend mentioned Sugar Busters to me yesterday and I have been blown away with all the great info here!

Hubby and I have made a New Years resolution to change the way we eat.. for us and our 6 kids, we just didn't have a "starting point". I am so excited to find SB, and to see that it's child friendly!

Hubby is diabetic and I have an obscene about of weight to lose (currently weighing 284). At 31 years old I am ashamed to say I have terrible eating habits, don't excercise, and no motivation to change. As silly as it sounds - Dr. Phil & Oprah are my inspiration. It's a new year and time for me to get real. I need to stop ingnoring my weight and pretending like I'm OK with it, because I'm not. In the 7 years my hubby and I have been together this is the first time I have even mentioned to him that my weight bothered me, and he has never said anything about it.

So - today is my coming out day LOL Hubby is all for the change and we're putting together meal plans this weekend and "redoing" our pantry! hehe Killing off all of the left over holiday junk food too! Yay! :-)

Ok, enough rambling ;-)

Amanda

yeah! We sound like twins!! I started 1/12/03--- Would like to loose 75lbs---
My scale says 215(but more at the dr. of course)
I am doing low carb/sugar! Kinda SBD-kinda SB--- I can not totally give up
bread/rice/etc, but can make the switch from the white stuff (i think)--
I have mostly been posting in the SBD forum, but decided to peak in here today.
Good luck!!!! I'll be thinking of you!!
