Howdy !!

Hiya LKF... not sure where Springville is, but it's nice to have another ALABAMA gal on the boards!! I think that makes 5 or 6 of us... not sure :)

My DH couldn't gain weight if I stuck pennies in his pockets, so I'm on this WOE alone... but it's ok... Good luck with it, and I'm glad you found us... stick around. We're a great group and it's a wonderful place to come and read when you feel like eating.

(Of course I have a lot of room to talk since I've eaten everything BUT the fridge today...sheesh)

Merrylegs 08-29-2002 03:02 PM

Hi Ladies,

Hope you have room for one more, even one who isn't obsessed with football. I'm reading SB and have been doing WW since January. Thirty pounds gone, sixty five to go! Looking forward to meeting you all...

Karen

Thursday Afternoon

A little time now--maybe I can shoot for the long post I was trying to get in this morning. Frustrating morning on the computer--every program I have screwed up at a very crucial point. Ugh.

Gator, Gator, Gator. Gator---I found your discourse on football to be repugnant on soooooooo many levels. First, no mention of the most important SEC football school of all Auburn (WAR EAGLE!) Then there was that dig about the ACC and NC State. Woman--are you just trying to hack me off??????:yikes:

Jack-K--Here's the REAL scoop on UF and FSU. They both like to throw their respective weight around in their conferences and pretend they are the best, but really they are both about to get their comeuppance! FSU is going downhill dramatically( and, in fact, did NOT win the ACC last year)--and well, you heard dear old Gator's fears about UF without visor man. Attention in the SEC is now going to turn to states a little farther north like Alabama and Looserinana. There's another Orange team that is going to soon join the BAMA folks in the NCAA jailhouse. The SEC team you want to watch is Auburn (WAR EAGLE!). Now the ACC is accomplished in both football AND basketball. Something the SEC folks don't want you to know because the SEC can't win an NCAA tournament game in basketball if their lives depended on it. So this is the REAL scoop. I suppose BOB and MIssy might have some opinions of their own--but just remember that you heard the TRUTH from me!:D

Merry legs--welcome! Whatever gave you the idea some if us are obsessed with football:?:

LKF--Welcome! Where is Springville? I'm in Auburn. There us several of us from Alabama on the board. You need to watch out for the FLA chicks however--they have real attitudes--especially that Gator woman and that bossy dungeon mistress.:joker: I've still got 100 lbs to go, so you are not the only one with a lot to lose! We ride the wagon together!:grouphug:

Deb--the food scale is a "Good Cook" brank scale. It was in a box with a picture of the scale and some carrots (like who wants to weight carrots????).

Time to go back to work.

Have a good evening everyone!

Susan
300/250/150

ps--salad days continue. Today's lunch was a huge salad with tuna (3oz--one packet) for the protein. I had to fight Belle for it.

Mel 08-29-2002 04:34 PM

WOW! Look at all the newcomer and oldcomers!

Welcome back ldblond, sorry to hear about all your health problems. Seems like last you were on the boards, you had mouth and teeth problems- or am I getting people mixed up? Glad to see you back.

Hello Merrylegs and LKF- this is a great place for support and and great WOE.

Red1- If wheat is out, how about oatmeal, brown rice, sweet potatoes? They are my staples for starchy carbs because they are so nutrient dense. Good for growing muscles.

Deb- I refuse to believe that my body was meant to still have a roll of fat around my middle! I'm not giving up yet, cause for years I believed that my body was just meant to be fat. That was 45 lbs of fat ago. If I can get that off, why not 10 more? I just have to figure out how to break this plateau. I truly believe a combination of intense body building style weight training plus the right nutrition is the answer- I just need to fine tune the nutrition part some more. I love the workout part! My, you've certainly made some changes, too! Shoes that aren't black??? A purse? What's next, the capri's?

LKF- The numbers are our starting weight, current weight, and goal weight. These can be real misleading tho- since I started body building lifting, my weight hasn't budged more than +/- 2 pounds, BUT my body fat % has gone down 8% (equal to almost 11 pounds of fat). So the scale lies! Those numbers are only 1 measure of how you are doing. I think the pants-o-meter is the best guage. A pound of muscle takes up a lot less space than a pound of fat.

Today was the first day of school here.. YIPEE! except ds left this morning mad about having to wake up and came home mad about the world in general. Oh, middle school's gonna be fun with him....

OK- gotta start the driving to soccer practice routine.

It's almost Friday!!:D

Cutting out to get my hair cut. Got to find soemthing different. Just don't know what I want to do. :fr:

Hope to have a nice quiet nite and just veg-out on the couch.

Beth, Hold on tight today. Keep drinking. Keep repeating, I cn do this. Joke was too cute.

Adrons Girl, I remember you. You were here when I first started. Welcome back. Hope you find the cause of that headache, that's a killer. Keep in touch.

Serene, are you scratching??

Fillise, WTG on the 3 lbs. Can I corrow your new scale?? Thank you aor an "unbiased" opinion of FSU & UF. But I must correct you on one item, There is an SEC School who does win NCAA tournaments. I believe UK holds the 2nd highest number of bb wins. My boss's son graduated from AUBURN. Since I'm in the SEC, I will have to pull for my Wildcats, sorry. It's going to be a fun season here.

Again, If you need help with abbreviations, just yell. I only weight on WIW. Less depressing that way. Stay away from that popcorn. Have some legal snacks around for you to grab when watching TV. Prayers coming your way on yur Dr. visit. Try not to worry. I know that's easier said than done. Good luck.

Toni, I almost did the same thing yesterday. I went out to eat and the Rueben sandwich sounded so good. Then I realized I had alrady had 2 carbs. I got wings and a salad instead. I bet you were hungry later. I'm proud of you for not going ahead and eating the pasta.

Cheryl, Sening prayers and good thoughts for your mom and you. Keep us posted.

Serene, I knew the Gators were 2 bright colors. I guess I have never been big Florida fans casue they always beat up on my Wildcats so bad. LOL Let us know about the ultrasound.

Gracious, Congrats on those 2 pounds. I hope they stay gone too. Your outing sounds like such fun, plus some exercise.

Deb, I haven't found agave yet, but going to check my HFS Friday evening. Didn't hear about the little boy in Calf, but what is going onwith all this now days? My butt is better today, still hurts but at least I could walk better today. How about your leg??

Gator, Thank you for the lession in UF and FSU. will try not to confuse them again, especially during the season. So it is "YOU" that beats our pants off.LOL It was not my exercise challenge, I believe it was Toni and Quilter who started it. We all just "butted" in.

REd1, sounds like you have been swtiched to Atkins. You should drop some pounds pretty quickly. Hope DH is doing good.

LKF, Welcome to our board. This is a great place for support and friendship. You and I have a lot in common. I have been married for 29 years and my DH is too slim (except for his beer belly). He has lost about 30 just eating what I fix. I have always been heavy. When I started I had 110 lbs to lose. Now I have 30 to go. So see SB does work and it is great and easy to follow. I too have tried EVERY diet out there. Looking forward to getting to know you. Good luck.

Tranquil, Glad your foot is healing. Do what you are supposed to and it will get better quicker. In other words, stay out of the mall. {{{HUGS}}}

Beth, Are you being bad today???

Merrylegs, Welcome to you too. SB is easier than WW. Nothing to write down. Just count to 3 (carbs that is) Congrats on your 30 lb. loss so far. Keep up the good work.

Mel, Hope DS gets a better attitude or it's going to be a long school year.

Have a great nite everyone.

Hey All:wave:

Almost didn't do a flippin thing all day long-didn't go out of the house until Lauren called to say she missed the bus, so went to get her and run to get a few things at the GS - just a lazy day! Feel a bit guilty as there's lots to do and even though I stayed in today, I didn't do anything inside the house.

It's going to rain:rain: here again. Been doing that a lot recently. Going to keep my eye out as far as weather goes. Seems there's a tropical system out there. It's been 10yrs since Andres hit us, but once something like that does, you tend to keep a more watchful eye out when they mention something is brewing out there.

Pork chop turned out good, seemed to retain more moisture than using the bread crumbs, but a tad less crispy. Was good overall. Just added some spices to about 2tbl of wheat germ.

Found this interesting site that has some great information on portions under the different food groups, among other things. Check it out, you may find lots of useful information! Just click on the link below:

http://www.ma-wired.com/ntrition.html

GATOR, the shoe store definitely didn't go into depth like the one you go to! Sounds like a good place to hit when I come up in Janaury. Gosh, when I think about it, I can't believe it's just a few months away. I'm putting in an order of cool, but not cold weather and NO rain this time around! Please try to fill it;) Thanks for the kudos about the board. I try! May not always be perfect, but I do make a diligent effort!!!

RED1, glad to see your post! I truly hope you get to meet up with the gals from the board when you go to LA, that would be wonderful! DH seems to be doing well so far with his WL-good luck to him. Losing those 3lbs you had gained didn't seem to take you long, good job! Yes, you can print the smilies page, just bring it to the forefront and print away!!!

LKF, http://members.aol.com/eldemila/welcome_flowers.jpg Glad you found your way on to the board! You definitely have a smart friend and a nice one at that to loan you her book. SB is such a great WOE to follow! I think many of us on this board can also say we've tried them all (diets). Some, like BOB (Big Orange Babe) and myself even went a step further and got our stomachs stapled at one time-both of us not being successful in the long run with that either. Whatever the reasons are that you haven't been able to keep the weight off in the past, this is an issue to realize, if you can. For me, I was an emotional eater and when things got tuff, the tuff came out eating, not fighting. Since being on SB that emotional eating seemed to vanish, it was like once the sugar was out of my system I didn't have this problem. Another thing that I found was I didn't even know my own body and the fact that I would experience fluctuations in weight, even gaining when I was exercising and staying OP 100%-once I learned this, not that I liked it, but I learned to accept it and know that, if I was patient and got through this time that the scale would behave and I'd be rewarded, and I always have been. You seem to be doing quite well on SB thus far. Ten pounds gone is a nice chunk of weight. I know you said you have 125 to go, and that may seem like a lot, but I can tell you time passes so quickly and before you know it, it will be less than 100, then 75 and so on. I've been on SB for almost
2 1/2 years. This is a WOL (way of life) and NOT a diet. You can live on SB the rest of your life without any problems (not something one can say about Atkins). We're all here for the long haul. With having a life long weight problem I can tell you that I will always have to watch myself, unlike your DH, I can look at food and gain weight!:fr: Thanks for sharing a bit more about yourself. As you can see, BETH is already excited to have another "homey" on the board!!! Okay, to answer some of your questions...to get the little smilies, you have to hit POST REPLY instead of using the quick reply at the bottom of the page, then once in that area, on the left of your screen you will see some of the smilies, click on the link to show you all 101 of them and then you will see what the symbols are to put them in to your posts. Just try not to exceed 10 of them, I believe there's still this limit on them in each post you do. Now, to change your name, THAT I'm not quite sure of, you can contact SUZANNE of the 3FC'S FAME and ask her if this is possible, she will know. You can reach her by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page that says CONTACT US. Really, your initials are just fine. Sometimes even cute names have to be shortened by us. The numbers at the end of our posts are something optional (which, by the way everything on the board is), it's our beginning weight, current weight and goal weight. Some people post this, some don't, but that's what they mean:D Once again, WELCOME TO THE BOARD! We're so happy you've joined us!

COUNTRY, love that quote a wise person told me a long time ago the only stupid question was one not asked that's so true!

TRANQUIL, glad to hear the foot isn't bothering you as much as it has been. Not that I'd want what you are experiencing, but massages???? ELI'S been lax on his duties lately in doing those for me. If he doesn't shape up I'm going to have to ship his arse out of here. A woman can live without sex, but foot rubs, no way!!!:nono:

BETH, I knew you'd be happy to hear another AL gal was joining the board!!!

MERRYLEGS, a hearty http://members.aol.com/eldemila/welcome_flowers.jpg to you as well! Of course we have room for one more and boy will those Canuks be happy to have another Canadian on the board!!!! You are on the other side than the others, but I figure that we'll have all of Canada represented one day soon (or at least I hope!) You've done great so far. Have you been doing just WW and now doing a combo, WW using the points and using SB foods, or is SB new to you? I know, I ask a lot of questions, but as COUNTRY quoted: a wise person told me a long time ago the only stupid question was one not asked and of course, I like to appear wise;) Once again, WELCOME! We look forward to learning more about you!!!

FILLISE, okay, so maybe my memory is failing me at this young tender age! I'll have to check that scale out next time I go to Wally World. I've seen so many of them. There's one on Ebay I've been eyeing. Will wait to see what bday money I get and then treat myself to one. I never buy anything for myself with the money I get, I usually need it for bills. Thank goodness for bday money! FLA gals with attitudes? Us?? NEVER!!! Okay, maybe those who are football obsessed -which leaves me totally in the clear!!!!!

MEL, sorry to say but I have a permanent roll of fat not only around my stomach, but two rolls some people call love handles but I call my spare rear tires, thighs that hang, etc. etc. At least YOU can wear fitted shirts, nice shorts and short sleeve tops. LOL! Yes, a few minor changes, but no, the capris are staying, all 20+ pairs of those babies!!!! Hey, Rome wasn't built in a day, you know Whol knows what I'll do given some time. It only took me years to make some changes!

JACKK, leg is fine today, esp. since I slacked off and didn't run/walk today-bad girl that I am. This little boy was abducted from his Dad's house by 2 men who beat the man at 2am in the morning. They haven't found him yet, but he just got custody 2 weeks ago after a nasty custody battle. The mother just has to be involved, why else target him and take this little boy that's only lived there 2 weeks? Hair cut? I'm sure you'll look MAHVALOUS!!!!! I need to get mine colored and cut, it's been 6 months already and it looks like dookie!!!!

Okay, I am going to ATTEMPT to make a brisket for dinner tonight. Okay, okay, stop your laughing at me:lol: at least I'm going to make a conscience effort to make it edible!

I'll try to check in later if possible. Michael has homework but is now taking a nap, which means he'll be on the computer late tonight, which is the reason I wasn't able to post last night AND the reason he's having to take a nap today!

Toodles

Man, have their been alot of posts since the last time I checked in! Didn't have time to read them all though. Anyway, I'm FINALLY at 229 and back on track!!:dancer: Took Ashley to get tested yesterday and she has a "mild" case of ADHD. I figured she did- she can't sit still and is always on the go. The doctor told me that one of the questions he asked her was " what do u want to be when u grow up?" She said she wanted to be a doctor so that she could fix her brother's heart. Boy, did I start crying when he told me that. I was so proud. I want to be able to use the smilies but it won't let me anymore??? Anyway, thanks for all the prayers, etc about hubby and I.

Fillise--LOL. How could I forget AU? And it’s in such a cute town, too? Toomer’s Corner. The TP’d oak tree. It is an oak, isn’t it? I loved how you picked such a good color orange to get your message across about Ewe Tee. Didn’t mean to slight NCState (my nephew goes there), but you have to admit that the ACC is not know as a football power conference, and so FSU took the easy way out to get a football conf. championship every year but one. Now basketball is another thing, and the ACC has often set the standard. As far as the SEC doing poorly in Bball, though, just 3 years ago UF was in the NCAA final game. And UK is always a great team. Probably the best in the country in BBall. We call it BillyBall at UF because of our coach, Billy Donovan.

LOL, we’ll have to get Merrylegs used to our jabbering like this every fall. It’s in our blood and--even more important than eating!!!! I guess we’ll have to do an educational post for all the non-SEC or non-football fans that probably will think we are horrible or mad at each other or sumptin’. OK everyone, this jabbering back and forth between Fruit, BOB, Fillise, JackK and me is part of the fun. Don’t get upset. Just enjoy us acting a little nuts around this time of year. We can’t help it. It's a southern tradition! And we really do love each other. Really.
Karen, you’re doing great on your losses. Keep at it. And welcome-welcome-welcome to this great board. We all are very supportive (except when it comes to supporting our current weekly foe in football, LOL).

I had SB pancakes for breakfast along with a peach and 5 strawberries. Figure about 300 calories. Then I’ve had only some baked chicken the rest of the day. Two wings and some breast meat. My DH is having dinner at a meeting tonight and I just can’t get motivated to cook a dinner for myself. I’d love to have a cook to come in every night and fix one healthy dinner for me. Can you believe it! And I love to cook. I think it’s just the sameness of it. Cook. Clean up. Cook. Clean up. Ugh.

Raining again so probably won’t get in the other 1.5 miles. :(

THE BIG ORANGE BABE 08-29-2002 07:44 PM

SEE????JACK K??????? I TOLD YOU YOU WOULD GET IT!!!!! You get her going and now we can't shut her up!!! ...

Tailgaters are pretty intense at AUBURN. Friend of mine is a DR in Birmingham, and during football season, he closes the office Wednesday and heads on down to get a good spot!

BASKETBALL?????? DON'T DO IT.....DON'T LIKE IT.....WON'T WATCH IT!!!! GATOR'S coach looks like EDDIE MUNSTER!!!
TENNESSEE basketball SUCKS A BIG ORANGE!!!! (to borrow terminology for the GATOR fans)
I'm pretty sure that the whole 15 yrs that I lived in LEXINGTON, that I was the ONLY TENNESSEE FAN IN RESIDENCE!! but went to all the UK games (football) I wanted. Had a friend with season tickets, so that wasn't a problem...and they were pretty good in the 80's... :s:

BIG BROTHER TONIGHT!!!! GE RRY....GE RRY....GE RRY!!!!
Gotta go bud....

Sorry I can't get to everyone...I'm still not feeling well, but that won't keep me from in front of the tube come 5:30 p.m. on Saturday...PROBLEM.....GA and CLEMSON are playing at the same time...haven't played each other since 1995~!!!!

OH....OH....watch out everyone....THE SEC CHICKS are out in force~!!!! Welcome to anyone who wants to join us..JEANNE don't worry that you can't watch, you can still get pumped up about it!!!

Hey all you people!

Can you believe it's me 2 nights in a row!! :cp: I had some time tonight so I thought I'd pop in on ya! I'm not gonna go back to the beginning of the week cause I'd never finish but I'll start from my post on catching up with all of you!

MELF: I just can't believe that your sister has West Nile! That is horrible - does she live in Abbeville? In other words - how close is she to me!?! They do have a few cases around Thibodaux but I don't know anyone personally. I can't believe that your friends are fighting over the LSU season tickets - that is hilarious!

GRACIOUS: I'm getting Cozmo this weekend!!!!! :cloud9: I found out today that he is pretty much eating on his own and he is only taking one feeding a day from my friend. She thinks that I should take over for now so that the bonding process can start!! I'm sooooo excited!

JACK-K: Thanks for the welcome back!! I've been missing you too! Hope all is well with you - can't wait to catch up!

TONI: I thought I was the only person that put sausage in spaghetti! I love that! Thanks for the early birthday wishes!

CHERYL: Prayers are coming your way from South Louisiana my friend! :grouphug: Hope all goes well and keep us posted.

LDBLOND: Woohoo! Hey my friend!!! :dancer: I missed you so much!! I've been on and off the board too - been quite busy but I'm trying to get myself back together! :tired: Glad to see you!

DEB: Hey girl - the big day is Sept. 4th :hat: - the BIG 32 for me! Oh my! Thanks for getting my arse in gear and back on the board!

GATOR: Well, well, well, my old friend! I can guarantee that you didn't eat CHOWDER here in South Louisiana! It was probably an etouffee or stew - or possibly a courtbouillion. We also have lots of jambalayas cooking all over campus. I also see lots of people just throwing things on the pit - like burgers, steaks or ribs. :chef: I booked my room for the FL game but we still haven't purchased the tickets. We are kind of unsure now if we will be able to go - since the car accident and we have all of these doctor appointments for Terry's ear. He has permanent nerve damage in his ear from a blow from the airbag to the side of his head. So, our trip may be down the tubes - since we don't know what the doctors will want to do. I'll let you know though - I'm not canceling my room until I'm sure though!!! I was at that game with the goal posts too - talk about funny! I just sat there and stared in awe! I'll have to see if I can find that USA today article online…thanks for the info.!

LKF: You and I must be twins! My husband is also slim and here I am - big ole me! Gotta be love!! Welcome to the board!!

FILLISE: Your post kind of reminds me of the kids book: The True Story of the Three Little Pigs - ever read it? It's where the wolf tells his side of the story! :nose: Funny! Well, I have to say you had me giggling with your Looseriana comment - too damn funny! But - who's making the news lately - it AIN'T the WAR EAGLES!!! Well, at least I haven't heard anything about Auburn lately - is there really anything good to say! HAHA! I love this! GEAUX TIGERS!

I'll have to try to post some of the pictures of my classroom - it is too cute! I've already received many LSU gifts from my students. You know how it goes - they run home - tell their moms & dads that I painted my entire classroom in the LSU theme and the next thing you know - they are bringing me wonderful gifts!! I just love it!!

Well, everyone - maybe I'll see ya tomorrow!!! Who knows!

Happy Thursday evening!

My computer is somewhat fixed. At least it boots up now. Hooray!

Yesterday was a horrible day. I went down to the garage to run some errands and found that someone had left the window open in my car. The outdoor cat had gotten into my car and left a mess in the front and back seats. I almost threw up. I didn't get any errands run, to say the least. My hubby spent a long time cleaning for me..he took out the back seat and scrubbed it and the floor rugs, then vacuumed it all out. Today, the smell was just about gone, and I was able to get in and close the door without getting nauseated. I have a hyperactive sense of smell....
The cats fate is still being discussed. I love cats, but this one drives me nuts...

Today, my daughter and son in law came over. He is a chef, and he spent all afternoon making a smoked pork picnic Carolina style. The sauce was wonderful. I had to keep cleaning up behind him so the kitchen did not look like a disaster area, but the food was wonderful! Even on lite wheat buns! :cbg:

All this talk flying around on football is interesting. Makes me wonder if I should or shouldn't mention I am a UGA grad... :?:

I really want to post to everyone individually, but I am feeling really lazy. I hope you all will forgive me. I am going to bed! Night! Sweet dreams!

:sheep: :sheep: :sheep: :sheep:

fruitloupe 08-29-2002 09:50 PM

GATOR: Got the article from USA today - quite interesting! LSU seems to be the talk of the town! GO US!

FILLISE: You might want to check out that article - looks like we are the s:censored:t this season! Let's just hope it all works out like predicted! woo hoo!!

Fruitloupe- did you loose those 39 pounds since April?

Speaking of West Nile- My Uncle just got over it. He lives in Slidell and works in the railroad yard. He had bug spray on but the "skeeters" are so aggressive there that they will go under your pants or hat to bite. Here in Mississippi, we've had 3 or 4 deaths this year from it and I know that one of the local hospitals had a West Nile case they were "treating".

sef 08-30-2002 12:25 AM

HiedieHo All!

I was just too tired to post. Wednesday I carried the ladder upstairs by myself (sort of slid it up the stairs on its side), then proceeded to do the ceiling, walls and shelving in my bedroom. After they were cleaned I put all the stuff back on the shelf that we had taken down because of the construction work on outside of house. That night I made supper and went into the pool but was too tired to move in it. Sat there on the steps and thought, "if you can sit in pool you can sit in spa" only when I pushed the jet buttons nothing happened. So much for that!

Today I took it easy, went to the NH and then my DIL had a doctor's appointment in N.O. and had a headache si I went with her in case it got worse and she couoldn't drive. When we got home I took a nap and she made supper. Tonight I feel so much better, sooooooooo tomorrow I tackle my sitting room!

TRANQUIL: I have nerve conduction tests and they weren't painful, maybe a twinge now and then. I hope it was okay for you. I will admit that the first time I had the tests I had no feeling in my legs or feet. The doctor had turned up the juice as far as it would go and there was nothing. Finally there was a reflex reaction in my left foot. That's when I had the back surgery! After which I had feeling again. The last time I felt more twinges, they were checking for neuropathy. It was no big deal.

GATOR: If people stopped volunteering I thin the world would stop! The amount of monet that is saved and the things accomplished by volunteers is tremendous. I'm sure you do so much good for the CPC, maybe you need to speak up and remind them what the volunteers do for them. Not that you're looking for glory, but need to at least have your worth recognized! A couple of decent chairs would be a good start!

JACKK: These young kids here are asking, "Chubby WHO?"

TONI: The change of leaves adn the cisp fall air is one reason I am taking my trip back east when I am. Here you may see one or two trees that change color, but it is a muddy color not the bright crisp colors of my mountains.

BOB: When I stopped smoking cigs were .25 a pack, .35 for kings and filters! Hope you feel better.

QUILT: The DOL does use word pad and cut & paste, only the DOL is also a SOL (senile old lady) and forgot to save along the way! Okay dry those tears! You know you're feeling better, clothes fit better, so don't let a little metal thing with one eye upset you! Keep plaugging along it will pay off. I was stalled for months and then bingo!

FILLISE: I learned a long time ago that old Abe was right about not being able to please all the people all the time etc. The best retort is to offer the critics the job! I loved working with the children, although the real little ones intimidated me. I use to pray each Sunday that the nursery, toddler and kindergarten teachers wouldn't call in sick so I would have to sub for them! My grandmother was Elizabeth. I don't know where my folks found Elaine, but I gave it to my DD and it has gone on to my GD as her middle name.

GRACIOUS: Hope the headaches go away. They can be miserable!

ROSALIE: That is one thing I worry about, gaining on my vacation! I will be gone a whole month! Satying with different people in differetn regions. I will gaive it my best shot to stap OP! After being stalled for so long I am finally seeing results again and son't want to lose them!

I am too tired to write any more. Will try to catch up the next time.

Good Friday Morning!

Taking the few minutes (I hope) to catch up this morning before I go out for my walk. It's raining:rain: and I'm hoping it stops soon so I can go, and before it gets too late.

ELI is off today and gosh knows he deserves it. You know where we'll be today!;) Tonight we have a new SB to go to the opening of, they sure keep having new ones pop up every few weeks down here!

Seems TOM is trying to show up today, 2 days early. I hope that this is the reason my weight is up a tad more today. A girl just can't win!:nono:

BOB, so who do you want to win BB? You got your wish, Gerry is gone. I wonder what he'll think when he sees how he acted in regards to his "cleanliness" on the show.

FRUIT, thanks for getting me the bday info! I have you on my list now:D Can't wait to hear about COZMO'S homecoming!

MONET, ick!:fr: I can just imagine that stench and mess you had in your car! One time the ex left his car window open while we were dating and a cat came and sprayed inside the car-it was disgusting! I'm not a cat lover (sorry). Glad to hear your computer is fixed, wish I could say the same!

SEF, carrying a ladder by yourself-geez, what's next, an elephant? Hey, I think you should come down and take it easy at my house. See, I figure that you could clean my house, since all that stuff you do, this would be like a vacation! No, you don't buy that? Darn!;)

Okay, going to check to see if it's still raining out there, though even if it isn't out my front door, sure doesn't mean it won't be 1 mile away! I guess I'll run with the umbrella today, to play it safe.

If I don't check in upon my return, do have a wonderful day. I don't know if I'll have the opportunity to post later tonight or not, if not, I'll check in sometime tomorrow.

Have a wonderful weekend!
