  • Nice cool front blew through yesterday. It felt so nice, exercised last night in my bedroom with no AC on and it was comfortable. The last 4 months are my favorite time of the year!

Toni, I picked up a wonderful bed in a bag set this weekend on clearance for 20 bucks that even included a set of matching curtains and a table cloth. It's like I have a totally new bedroom. Ah yes, when I'm not living for eating, I'm living for shopping and bargains are my favorite thing!

Hey did anyone catch the 1st episode of Biggest Loser last night. 3 cheers for the 61 year old guy! He left everyone in his dust, lost a whopping 31 lbs in under 10 days. I cant imagine that kind of a loss. BTW the trainer for the blue team focuses on a diet higher in protein lower in carbs and they one the weeks weigh in.

  • Morning! I am having a lazy one. I need to get down to the garagio and check out the stuff I made yesterday...trim it and what not. I instead rescued the baby from his crib and played with him for an hour before his father woke up. He is trying to walk, and it is so cute! He looks like a drunken sailor sometimes!

Breakfast was a ww English muffin with whipped cream cheese, and a carton of splenda sweetened yogurt. And two cups of espresso!

It is overcast here, but I will still get in the pool later. I just am dragging my feet at everything this morning.

  • EVENING EVERY BUDDY!!

I'm a little late getting here, but at least I showed up!!

ROSEMARY....I started watching and fell asleep!...DANGIT..I love that show.
I'll have to catch up next week!

MONET...did you get any work done today in the garagio????

This is short, but I'm off to recline in the four poster....I'll get here earlier tomorrow!

  • Howdy all coming in late tonight. A friend came over and brought chef's salads from town and we had dinner together. With tea afterwards. I really enjoyed the salad and the visit. I did some laundry today. Also ground some bread heels into bread crumbs and put them in the freezer. I love to have whole wheat ones in the freezer for meat loaves etc.

Rosemary- Lucky you on the bedset. I wasn't so lucky but did get what I got on sale. Can't wait till it gets here. I'm awful bad to shop online. And ebay is great for bargains.

Bob-Oh poo you miss the start on Biggest Loser. Wish I would have recorded it for you.

Monet-Hope you got your things done in the garagieo.

Guess I'll go for the night. Have a good one.
  • Opps forgot to say I weighed in today and stayed the same. I've got to get my week ends under control. This is so silly ruining what I've done in two days a week. I will not do it this week end.
  • Morning! I have a busy day ahead of me. Tomorrow, I am going to Asheville, NC for the weekend with some of the moderators from here. I am looking forward to meeting the three sisters.... So in preparation,I have to get a haircut, pack, and plan, gas up the car, etc. Tom wants me to meet him for lunch, so I am going up there for that. It is a long drive up there, but I know he is going to miss me this weekend, so I will indulge him.

Yesterday was semi-productive. I did get a couple things done in the garagio, but not much. Since I am leaving in the morning, I don't want to have a bunch of stuff hanging, needing trimming etc., so I will take today off. I might check on the stuff I did yesterday and see if it needs any additional finishing, but I have two bowls and an apple baker. I got an order yesterday for three custom pieces, so I feel like I am beginning to roll again! And just like last time, here I am going off....

TONI: I hope you can get through the weekend without blowing it. You CAN do it! I apologize for not mailing your panko bread crumbs yet. I just totally forgot! Old age maybe? Remind me and ask me about them when you think of it, so I remember to do that next week when I get back. OK? Did you get the PM I sent you with the link to my web page by the way?
  • Oh my gosh Monet I just went and looked at your pottery and its beautiful. I just love what you do. Soon people will be doing Christmas shopping. Or that's what I do and it would make wonderful gifts. Thanks so much for sending me the website. What a wonderful time you're going to have meeting the sisters and the other moderators. You'll come back with all sorts of inspiration. Can't wait to hear about it.

I'm all geared up in mind for the week end. I'm just going to try taking one day at a time. Thanks for the encouragement.

Have an appointment for a mammogram today so better get around.
  • Hi Ladies, I have been really busy and our computers till are not 100% right yet. Been walking every morning and eating has been 100% OP. Been to the gym 2 times this week too. Going to a big local High School freshman football game tonight. One of my coworker's sons plays. Plus my DD is good friends with one of the coaches. My company just built their new stadium and it is almost comparable to a college stadium and we want to see the finished product. We got in the hottub for the first time last night. If felt wonderful.

Toni, don't get too excited about the 3 lbs, I'm sure it is water. It has been beautiful here too. I love it,but I know what follows, yuk. weekends are my downfall too. Wish I could find some motivation for them. I am trying hard this weekend, but we have a dinner party tomorrow night and a wedding Sat. I will try though. At least watch my portions.

Tech, I am so sorry about Dereck's job. Sure hope the drugstore comes thru. Saying a prayer for you both.

Rosemary, I just caught the end of the weigh-ins on TBL last night and saw the guy you were talking about. How great would that be?

Monet, play time is much more enjoyable than working. Pool time is over here I'm afraid. With such cool nights, the water really cools down. Have a great time meeteing the moderators. I so enjoyed meeting some of the people on here.

Bob, hope you are feeling better and all rested.

Got to run. have a great evening.
  • Good news/bad news with Derek's job. Bad news...his last day is tomorrow. Good news...now he'll be free to help me with the elbow grease needed to get my shop in gear! Which is very important as it may be our main income...that and unemployment.

Prayers are greatly appreciated!! Good thing I've gotten accustomed to living by the seat of my pants!!
  • TECH: Hopefully, things will work out. I know how you feel. It is not pleasant, but thankfully, you have a good attitude.

Thanks, Monet. I've learned not to panic. This pending unemployment predicament seems to be an annual thing around here lately and things always seem to work themselves out...something always comes up and we'll be fine. I've also learned what is truly important in life and first and foremost is I have two beautiful children that are healthy as it gets and a wonderful husband who is my best friend. Even if he is a loud-mouth Italian at times. We all have each other and that's what's important....
  • Hey ya'll! I've not been on here in a few days and I won't be back on for a few more...we have fall break next week and we're leaving Saturday for the beach! We'll be back on Wednesday, Craig has to go into work on Thursday and Friday. He may be able to take a couple of days off at Thanksgiving, so everything will even out.

I have been asked to play grandma in the Nutcracker again this year. I really enjoyed it last year, but they're doing six performances this year, so I'm not sure I want to do them all. we'll see. Rachel is a flower this year (Waltz of the Flowers). She will dance in all shows, but I feel like I owe Sean and Craig a cooked meal sometime during the week. I'll have to think about it and make my decision soon.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and week next week!!
  • Just seeing if my new avatar worked..a cute pic of Lexie! I'm going to try to get one of the 2 kiddos together this weekend - in their LSU gear of course!!
  • ok so you can't see it that good - I'll try to get a good one to post!!
  • Morning all!
I'm new to SB. This is the second time I've read the book, but am going to really make an effort to stick with it. Looks like you all have fun and lose weight. How great is that???? My job requires that I travel A LOT, so I eat out and socialize A LOT. Think I can do okay ordering the "right stuff" to eat, but what about alcohol?
    Thanks!
