Finally found some time to post! This week has been crazy! Not only has it been the first week back after the holidays, but we had a big meeting at the school I work at last night. They are builing a new elementary school nearby to open next year and our little school will be closed and moved to the new school along with overflow from two other schools. We will open with approx. 800 kids compared to the 240 we have here now. I will be busy!! It is not a suprise and is really needed since parts of this school are 100 yrs old, one wing is about 50yrs old and the "newest" part was built in the 70's! It's just the losing that small community feel that I dread. Oh, well. It's a sign of the times I guess.

Otherwise I've been doing OK. Did not weigh this week due to tom. Sounds like everyone else is having a busy start to the new year too!

I just finished up lunch. I had leftover chicken casserole, green beans and a banana. (yes, I know..it is NOT legal on SB but I needed the potassium)

I have a dentist appointment I have to leave for in an hour. I am having a chipped tooth repaired. I am not looking forward to it. I started feeling congested, and can't breathe through my nose right now, and the thought of having them working in my mouth and not being able to breathe through my nose makes me nervous. I may lay down for a few just to relax. I am feeling tired, even though I slept fairly well last night.

THIN: Good to see you! I can understand how you feel about losing the closeness of your school, and having to deal with such a big increase in the size of the student body. The school I taught at last year had 75 students. I like that size...you can really know all the students.

EVERY BUDDY!!!

Sorry I've not been around, but we've been so busy at work. By the time I get home and fix supper, I'm headed off to bed to relax!

I'M ALREADY SICK OF HEARING ABOUT THE GATOR'S!!! Yes, they played a good game, and yes, they deserved to win...When we won our NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, I don't remember going on and on like this~!!! Oh well...ONLY 3 months till the SPRING GAME and then 4 months after that it will be FOOTBALL TIME AGAIN!!!!

JACKIE...I had a really terrible night Sunday (I think it was) didn't sleep at all but started getting tired around 4 a.m. Knew better than to lay be down and go to sleep because I wouldn't have gotten up at all!!! My diazide does me that way some times...I feel like I'm living in the bathroom and then then next time, I don't go hardly at all...wonder what's up with that???
I could NOT BELIEVE that Patrino left...bet he doesn't make it..very few College Coaches are cut out to be NFL coaches...I read yesterday that that even had an interest in Hal Mummie...Now that would have been CLASSIC!!!

KRIS...So glad you like your job. I was worried you wouldn't for some reason. Feels good to get that paycheck doesn't it! Tell Derek that I would have been HONORED to have had the cat named BOB after me!!!

We had a WINDSHIELD of 35 degrees this morning ! When I'm cold...it's cold! Supposed to be even colder tonight...

MONET...How was the Dentist??? Got that PURTY SMILE gleeming again?

THIN...I'm sorry you're going to be so swamped next year...That's a lot of kids!!

ROSALIE...Man...you're a buy woman...I don't see how you keep up with yourself!!

MISSY...Nice going on the DOC'S part..you're lucky! Poor Lexie...did she scream?

COLE...OUCH!!

I'm off to fix supper...Chicken I think...I'll try to check in later!

I am SO PROUD of my dinner I had tonight. Not only was it legal schmegal, but it was DEElish!! I had Citrus Salmon, roasted cherry tomatoes on the vine and cauliflower and cheese soup in my little food processor. Here's the recipes. All are EASY:

Citrus Salmon

One salmon filet
One half an orange
One half a lemon
Salt and pepper to taste

In a dish, use a zester and take a nice amount of lemon and orange zest from the skin of the orange and lemon halves. Then squeeze the juice from them as well. Put the salmon filet in a storage bag and pour the juice over top. Grind some fresh-ground pepper and sea salt on top to taste. Let the air out of the bag and twist tie it shut. Let it sit for an hour or so and marinade.

Then put it on a foil lined cookie sheet, cover with more foil lightly and cook at 400 for about 10-15 mins (depending on how cooked you like your salmon). Take the top foil off and turn on the broiler and let it broil until it just starts to brown slightly on top. DONE!

Roasted Tomatoes(I saw this on Food Network the other day while folding laundry)

A handful of cherry tomatoes on the vine...as many as are going to be eaten...keep them on the vine
A couple tablespoons of olive oil
Salt and Pepper to taste

Put the cherry tomatoes on a cookie sheet. Drizzle the olive oil over top, then salt and pepper to taste (again, I use the fresh ground pepper and sea salt - they sell them already in little grinders now with the spices...I love them). Cook at 400 for about ten minutes until they easily crush. Then turn on the broiler and let them get barely brown...alongside the fish.

Cheesy Cauliflower Soup (this is different from the one I posted a long time ago in the recipes)

3-4 big cauliflower flourets
3-4 baby carrots
Cheddar Cheese
1 tbsp Milk
Salt and pepper to taste

First, boil the living bejeepers out of the cauliflower and carrots until they are easily mushed. Drain and put back in the pan. Add milk, salt and pepper (from the grinders) and as much cheese as you want. I used about two triscuit sized squares for my one serving I made. Lightly mash everything together, then transfer to your food processor. I have a little 4-cup food processor that did a great job. Pulse, then blend until smooth. Serves one, so multiply the above portions for the amount you need.

All legal...and it was SO good.

Will be back later on!! The Sabres are on tonight...so maybe not. GO SABRES!!!

Tech - Your dinner sounds delicious. I will have to try it soon.

BOB - Don't work too hard. I think winter has arrived at last. It's been cold up here too the last couple of days plus a sprinkling of snow.

Monet - Hope the dental appointment went o.k. It's no fun at the best of times but even less if you can't breathe.

Thin - Sorry to hear you are going to lose your small school. But I guess that's progress.

Tech - That poor cat. She is going to be so confused with all the name changes.

Hey everyone! The tooth looks beee-U-ti-ful! The dentist is a friend of ours and was joking about how he thinks he ought to be able to sign his work.

I was able to breathe too!

I am about all packed and ready to head up to North Georgia in the morning. I will not be back until Friday afternoon, so you all behave while I am gone! I got to make BOB's stuff, and finish SOLLY's piece...then I have an agenda to follow! Plates! Plates! Platters!

Talk to you all Friday!

GOOD EARLY MORNING EVERY BUDDY!!

GUESS WHO'S UP??? I slept for about two hours total and then up from there I came!! I think I'm going to hire someone like this to greet me every night as I go to bed!

ROSALIE...I heard on the news tonight that NYC had 15 minutes of snow flurries this afternoon, but not all through the city...just in certain places. They compare to last year at this time when they were battling 10 inces of snow!! It's been a strange winter EVERYWHERE...BUT...Febuary isn't here yet...it's usually the bad month....we'll see...no matter...be careful if you do get snow..with all your running here and there...

KRIS...did y'all win your HOCKEY GAME??? Your supper sounds so good..I love salmon and I will be stealing your recipe...YUM!!

MONET...You be careful...it will probably snow since you're going to the mountains!!

I'm watching The Secret Life of Diets on the FOOD NETWORK...they were just talking about the HOLLYWOOD 18 DAY DIET which consisted of 1 piece of MELBA TOAST, BROCCOLI and TWO BOILED EGGS that's it!!! FOR 18 DAYS! This was way back when!

Well, I'm off to putter...I know there's something that I can do between now and 6 a.m.

EVERYONE HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!

Well, I'm up and at 'em getting Shelley on the bus. Next week I start babysitting a little girl that is the daughter of a very good friend of mine and the little girl, Genevieve, is in Kyle's class and is his secret crush. So cute. He had a picture of the two of them holding hands, wearing wedding rings and with hearts all around her. But he had it hidden on the back of the couch so only he could see it. When I saw it he said, "Shhh....don't tell anyone..." So, here I am telling you guys. Anyways, Genevieve will be here everyday around 6:15 as her mom got a job working at a coffee shop here in town starting at 6:30 everyday so she can get the muffins and other puffy pastries in the oven. That is going to be a real adjustment as I'll be in getting ready for work many days and Kyle likes to come down in his jammies and watch PBS in the mornings and is a bit of a grump till he wakes up. But I guess it won't hurt us to all get moving earlier in the morning.

It's another adjustment typing with NAILS! I enjoy having them, but they are a pain to get used to at first. Shelley gave me a French manicure last night.

Bob: The Sabres WON!! I tell ya, I do love watching hockey.

Rosalie: The name changes is why my older cat is named Kitty. I couldn't keep up with the name changes from Alison Wonderland, Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Artemus, Luna...he finally ended up Kitty.

Monet: Have a BLAST with your pottery!!

Okay..have to make a lunch to-go!! Talk to you later after work!

Good morning ladies,

Came in early to get a jump on this wild and crazy day. Got a good cardio workout of 45 minutes last night. Tonight will be wts again. I am liking this switch. I used to dread the cardio every night and couldn't wait until my 30 minutes was up, but this way I don't mind it at all.

Monet, those sleeping through the nights are rate, but oh so wonderful when they do happen. Guess we are reverting back to our baby stage. Have fun in the mountains, we will miss you.

Tech, I have acrylic nails, have had for 10 years now. I love them, hate the process. I do pink and white and it takes about an hour. It's great that you love your job. Makes going so much easier.

Rosalie, you have accomplished a lot so early. Good job getting those laps in.

Thin, that's a big increase in students. I imagine it will take everyone awhile to get used to that. Glad you are back.

BOB, I don't know what to think about your sleeping patterns. Do you have lots on your mind?

Have a great day.

Fruit- my insurance is the standard family rate. Has nothing to do with Boogie's heart condition, they won't cover him for a year.

Well, I blew it big time Tuesday, so much for my goal this week. I wish I had the willpower to stay OP all the time, or really just to be able to eat an off plan meal or treat and get back OP with the next meal. Really aggravating for me. Well, I best get back to work...

Hi everyone

I was up early again this morning and was able to get my mall walk in before going bowling plus a bit of grocery shopping. I am having two of the grandkids over for dinner tonite - have to pick them up from school soon - and was about to prepare some chicken for the crockpot and found I didn't have enough. So off to the store I went again. But this time I decided to walk to the store. It only took me about 30 minutes there and back including the shopping but I certainly wouldn't have done this even two weeks a go. . I really blew it this morning though while at bowling. They had dishes of candy out and I got into the licorice allsorts bigtime. One of my favorite childhood candies. Anyway plan on staying on track the rest of the day. I have chicken and turkey kolbasa in the crockpot with veggies and barbecue sauce. Will have that with broccoli and rice - if I am strong I will resist the rice tonite. For lunch I had curried chana dal with veggies. Was going to have a slice of bread with it but resisted. Had enough carbs already this morning.

Tech - That was very cute about Kyle and his girlfriend. I had a similar experience with my eldest son when he was in grade one - he went to the convenience store one lunchtime to buy a ring for a girl in his class. Young love!

BOB - I think the reason we haven't had any snow yet is because my sons persuaded me to get snow tires put on my car this year! I never had them all the time I was working but they insisted I needed them. I should have made them pay for them. . Anyway they tell me they are also better than the regular tires when the weather is very cold so I will have to take their word for it.

Gotta run. Have to pick up the kids soon.

Default Good afternoon.

I just love coming to the board and reading how everyone is doing even when I don't get a chance to respond. We have change our home school routine so I'm still adjusting. Eating went really well yesterday. Tilapia went up in our area so it is really out of my price range so I tried catfish in the microwave yesterday and was suprised at how well it tasted. I just sprinkled lemon garlic and salt on it. All the kids liked it. That is a miracle.

Chores are calling but I'm trying to be faithful in making it to the board.

((Everbody))

Love and hugs,
Crystle

AFTERNOON YOU LOSERS!

I'm home from work...didn't get as tired today and that could be because I did sleep in the beginning. I've always heard that as we get older we don't need as much sleep...I don't like it, but it's happening! I was in bed at a decent hour, went to sleep and then something woke both me and KATE at 1a.m. We both went to the potty and then back to bed. I went back to sleep Then at 2:50 a.m. I woke up just like I had been asleep all night...I layed there for ten minutes and thought...this is crazy...so I got up. I puttered around until time for my shower and went to work.

JACKIE...I'm sure I've got some things on my mind that I wish weren't there, but don't we all? I'm not on over load or nothing. Here it is 3:30 p.m. and my legs have already started. I went ahead and took my medicine because I don't want it to get ahead of me. As you know, once they really get going, it's hard to calm them down. I do have not being able to come to KY for my Brother's wedding on my mind. He's just afraid that since it's Febuary, we shouldn't chance the possibility of snow. We both know how it can be there at that time of year. I sure wouldn't want to get stuck in a roadside motel somewhere between here and Danville or visa versa. And with Kate, she has always got to stop and spend the night going and coming...But still, I hate to miss it. WHEW...maybe that will help telling you about it..

CRYSTLE..What's going on at your house today?

ROSALIE..What time were you up? That's great that your Grandkids can get over there and spend time with you. Enjoy them tonight!

LAURE....

KRIS...glad to hear your guys won!!

Well, I'm off to get into something!!! I'll check in later!

BOB - I got up about 6 this morning which gave me plenty of time to walk before going bowling which doesn't start until 10 a.m. Since starting a walking routine last week I have been going to bed earlier and sleeping better. Hope it keeps up. Some nights I am like you - up half the night. Enjoyed having the grandkids over this evening. After dinner we all played darts - my poor wall is getting quite a few holes and not all done by the kids.

Happy Friday Ladies.

DD & I went to the gym and got our wt workout in. Then ran to Victoria Secret for a bra. They are having their semi-annual sale and have some great deals. I can't afford them regular price. Then I found a great deal on a top at Penney's. $32.00 on sale for $7.00. I love a bargain. Then we ran to California Pizza Kitchen and I got half a salad. I was starving this morning. Then we rushed home in time to watch Grey's Anatomy. I love that show.

No plans for the weekend. It is supposed to rain buckets here all weekend. I will go nuts with nothing to do. Guess I'll be cleaning out something.

Country, I found a great price on cod so I got a bunch and divided it up into indiviudal sevings. Hope you adjust to your new schedule soon. Have a great weekend.

Rosalie, I can't wait to have grandkids come over. I'm at the point in my life that I am ready for them, now if I could only convice my DD of that. Good job getting your walking in.

Bob, I don't need as much sleep as I used to. But then again I go 100 mph all the time. It's a shame that you will mis your DB's wedding. If it stays like it has in January, mayb e Feb won't be bad. I'm hoping for that. We haven't had a lot of snow in a few years. I agree with Rosalie, a little walking might help you sleep.

Heart, it's not that one meal that hurts us, its continuing on. But we all know that and we still do it (especially me). Jump back on. You can do this, just look how great you have done and wonderful you look.

Monet, how was your day in the mountains?

Missy, it's the weekend. Enjoy it.

Got to run. Have a great weekend. Talk to you Monday.
