Default important NSV for me

My mom knows I have been working on my weight for a while now. Even though I have gone from a size 16 to a size 12 she has said that she couldn't tell. Finally, this weekend when I went to see her she said, "wow, I can really tell you've started to loose some weight". Surprisingly, I have felt the past couple of weeks that I have been stuck, but she finally noticed! She really isn't a mean person, just a realist. So if she says she can now see the difference, there must be something to see.

What an amazing difference in body fat! Congratulations on your achievement. You must be in really great shape now. What is your fitness program? And what is an NSV?

that is sooo awesome. i am so jealous. i am at 177 and still in a comfortable 16!!! i can't wait to drop down a size. i seem to be losing it all in my butt, because i keep pulling at my pants and they seem to be much baggier in the butt but not in the waist!! not fair!!

but don't let me rain on your parade. that is just fabulous!! I am very happy for you!!! way to go and i am soooo glad your mom has finally noticed. sometimes the people closest to you just don't see it because they love you for who you are and don't even notice your weight to begin with.

Congratulations on your wonderful progress! I know family is sometimes the least likely to say something positive. You must absolutely be loving the positive attention! Great Job and keep us posted. I'd also love to make that big of a difference in body fat %. That is amazing.

Wow you must have really changed your body composition in terms of fat vs. muscle. That is amazing. Congratulations!

Thanks everyone....I don have A LOT more muscle, but because of the lack of scale progress I sometimes think I need to stop the weights and just do cardio to try to lose some pounds..but then again I love seeing and feeling the muscles. I'm just hoping the scales will move one of these days.

lumifan....I wish I could lose more in my butt. I've lost in my stomach area most of all but still have a gigantic butt. haha. Thank goodness for the loss in my stomach or I would still be in my size 16 also. What kind of cardio do you do?

sorry xenigal...I completely overlooked your question. I work out at the gym 4 days a week one and a half hours each day. I do an hour of weights, (Mon-back and chest, Tues-shoulders, Wed-off, Thurs-legs, Fri-biceps and triceps, this routine changes every 5-6 weeks), and 30-40 minutes cardio. I change my cardio up between elliptical, bicycle, and treadmill so my body doesn't get use to one thing. As far as the amount of weight that I'm lifting, this also changes every 5-6 weeks. This set of 6 weeks is kicking my butt because I'm doing 4 sets of 20 low weights to try and get out of the rutt I've been in. I'll probably go back down to 3 sets of 15 or change to 4 sets of 10 with more weight for the next session. It all depends on what kind of results I get this session. My trainer will change things up accordingly. THis is the first time in 8 months that I've done 4 sets of 20 and it's AWFUL! Can't wait for the next change up.

Congratulations!!! It is good though that when someone like that DOES say something we know they mean it.

Someone asked me yesterday if I had lost any weight yet. <G> Of course I know on my size it really doesn't show to other people until I have lost 30 or 40 pounds and I have only lost 18 and anyway I can tell it in my clothes and how I feel.
