This morning I had to take my car back in and was sooooo tempted to have them bring me home and pick me up... it's about 3 miles or a bit more each way. Every excuse in the world... LOL like I should save my strength so I could do more housework... yah RIGHT!!
But I walked home and plan to walk back to get it. So here I am at 10 AM and have 4800 steps in already and another 3 miles or so to walk besides my general walking around for the day.
Well it is not 20 degrees here... but it was in the low 30s and we are wimps here in Seattle when it comes to cold weather since we don't get much of it!!! But actually I enjoyed it!

lol! Yes we are wimps here in Seattle. I could never do that though, I live by the hood canal bridge and there's nowhere around me that I could walk to unless I plan on walking all day.

I am fortunate as I live very near a major "city type" highway with sidewalks and shopping centers all along it... I go by the creek, highway overpass I can stop and look over, a pond, etc. I even got out last week and did it at 6 AM before daylight; it is great having a place that is "safe." I also have lots of other great walking areas. I am thinking of walking to church tomorrow; it is about 3 miles. Fortunately we Seattleites are casual!
LOL well if every day was like today I would be fit in no time! Actually I got the idea of paying myself for certain stuff from someone who posted here at 3FC. I get $.50 for every 15 minutes of housecleaning... have already earned $1.50 today and also got in some steps. I built a database of what my payoffs are! On the cruise I will blow what I want of it and not worry about it. Although knowing me I still won't blow much... there are other things I would like to save for.
