Today, my coworkers took notice of my weight loss and how my face is getting thinner. I was feeling discouraged because I've been at the same weight for about 4 days now, and the comments really helped me to feel better about my progress. I joined a gym in the building where I work on Jan 6. and I've lost 18 lbs. since then. It's not like I hinge myself on what other people think of me, but you know, it just feels nice when people take notice.
I know exactly what you mean. My friends have said similar things to me lately when I've not seen the scale budge very much, and it always keeps me going.
I have a couple of people that will say things intermittently to me about my weightloss and it really affirms for me that the scale is right! It's the weirdest thing, but I don't feel so much smaller, even though I've lost over 40 lbs. That was part of my problem when I was living the large life. So, it really is helpful when people take notice and comment, and not just for my self-esteem!
