Default Weird success

I feel very successful today! Why? Because it has been a week or longer that I've been getting up, getting on the scale and hoping for that ONE more pound lost. I've been eating right, not excessively, and exercising and still the stupid scale doesn't budge.

My belly is shrinking though, I can see it getting smaller. So my success is in persisting, in keeping on keeping on, in spite of the stupid scale! I WILL persevere! I will continue doing what I know works even if my body is trying desperately to prevent me from seeing the rewards of all my hard work.

In times past I have gotten to this point and given up in frustration. NOT this time! And to me, that is Success!

That's a FANTASTIC attitude to have, and I'm glad that you aren't letting it get you down even though the scales aren't moving! I've been upping the exercise, and the scale hasn't moved all week, but I noticed that there isn't as much fat around my stomach, so that keeps me motivated! It sounds like you have the determination, so keep at it, girl, and you'll be where you want to be soon!

I love your attitude! If the scale isn't budging, but you're getting visibly smaller, you're on the right track. You're probably losing fat and gaining muscle, in which case, the scale isn't telling the whole story. Way to go!

Being persistant is the key. I think we need to keep in mind that the scale is not the only indicator of weight loss. As you stated, you can see your body shrinking. For me, I try on clothes every week that I could not fit before I started my lifestyle change and if they fit now - that is a success story!

That is a GREAT attitude to have because you will be more successful in your weight loss with that attitude. It took me several weeks to get that attitude.

Good luck!!!

Hi guys, thanks. I've lost 2 pounds since that post, so I guess the persisting helped. Sometimes you just have to be more stubborn than the scale is!

Death to the scale, for telling nothing but lies (well, not lies but something we don't want to hear)

Let's not go by the scale anymore, ladies, let's go by how we look and how we feel. That's what matters most of all.
