Default Weigh-in and Measure-in!

Hey everybody, since we all are so obsessed with the scale, let's see if we can use our measurements as another way to determine progress. Today I was telling someone in the chat room that my weight went up since this weekend (1-2lbs), but my measurements seem fine. She told me to focus on that for right now(thanks) so does anybody want to weigh-in AND measure-in on Fridays. Then we can compare weight loss with inches lost. I know we may not lose inches every week, but let's try it. If you want to join me, I'm starting this Friday! Good or Bad! (It'll be good!) Good Luck!

I'm in! When I lost weight before, I kept track of inches as well- it's definitely a great motivator when the scale isn't budging. And it's cool to know just how much your body has shrank.

okay, i'll try. How do you measure your inches?? do you add up all the inches and stuff from say your arms, waist, hips, thighs, chest??? i'm not a very good judge of the old measureing tape. never sure if i pulled it tight the last time or if i held it just barely touching my skin. but i am proud to report, i know i lost at least one and a half inches in my waist when i lost the 13 pounds.

lumifan I vary sometimes when I measure too, but I think the key is to measure at a place where you are in a resting position. For example, when measurin your waist, just lightly exhale and measure as close as you can to your skin without squeezing. Hope that helps--the blind leading the blind here !-Anyway, I'm gonna post all of my measurements separately until I reach a good enough total to tally em all up and make myself feel good!

Red face Uh Oh

It's almost Friday and I didn't lose anything yet. Hopefully the scale is nice to me by then, if not, maybe the tape measure will be!

Hey girls!

I know 3FC was down for a bit - but where the heck is everyone now??

I'm not going to measure this week b/c I just measured a week ago and 2 lbs isn't going to make a difference really ... When I did measure I was down 12 inches from my previous measure, which was on November 22nd.

Well, I'll be back in a bit to check in - hope to see some shrinking numbers!
