As you can tell, I'm so excited, LOL!!
My DH and I began our 'new way of eating' last Sunday. Basically, he NEEDS to lose about 20 lbs (to go ahead with the OTS -Air Force-) and I WANT/Need to lose about 70 lbs. Basically, I am in charge of his diet.. lol. He works a LOT (leaves by 7am and is home by 10pm) and since I do the shopping and cooking and lunch making, apparently I am the diet master (not the best role for someone obsessed with M & M's!). But, surprisingly, it's REALLY helped me!! Having to keep my DH on track has REALLY helped me keep myself on track! I am at Day 7, which is already further than I have EVER gone, lol!
I have been planning meals using the awesome recipes from this site and we began walking together 2 miles three times a week. I have totally stopped snacking and TOTALLY curbed my carb intake, which is REALLY hard to do for this Italian!!
Last Sunday, I weighed in at 226 and today I weighed in at 217.5!! DH weighed in at 227 (sick that we weighed the same, I know!) and today he weighed in at 221.5. I know this is probably atypical first week water weight results, but I have never seen anything like them, so I am super excited!! I rewarded myself with homemade chicken parmigiana and a small portion of pasta today!
I would really love a buddy to exchange recipies with, help stay on track, chat, etc. with! I have posted on BUDDY UP but I really haven't found anyone.

I am a SAHM of my 14 month old, Briley and I am 22 years old. We live in Louisiana, though I am really from NY. I have AIM and YAHOO and I'd love some buddies to encourage!!
