Angry

i just weighed in today at Weight Watchers and i reached my goal!!! i am so excited! i recommend WW to everyone. the new winning points system works GREAT! i was so tired of watching each month go by, and saying to myself..."if i would have started in september...i would be thin now". I AM THERE! i just went out and bought some tight hot pants and a snake skin shirt! RRRRrrrrrr!!!!!

Default Terrific!

As hefty said "Way to go!". Actually that's a perfectly safe rate of weight loss - an average of a bit less than 2 lb a week. 1-2 pounds a week doesn't sound like much, UNTIL you do a bit of math - then WOW!

You're doing great - and you deserve a happy weekend! Take care!

Default here is how to do it!

thank you for the congrats. i am 5 ft 10 and at 188lbs i was able to somewhat hide my weight. but my size 14 clothes were tight and i felt fat. now i am pushing a size 8 (some 10 still) and feel great.

for breakfast i would eat a thing of dannon yougurt and a banana. for lunch i usually had either a grilled cheese or a turkey (healthy choice deli meat) sandwich with 10 baked ruffles chips (sour cream and cheddar), some pickles, and a "skinny cow" ice cream sandwich. if you havn't tried them they are great! they are round ice cream sandwiches (the ice cream in the middle comes in vanilla, choc. or mint) and they count as 2 points (virtually nothing!). for dinner i would have a salad (greens) with fat free italian, chicken breast and a big baked potato.

at first i was still craving other stuff. i allowed myself to venture from this diet plan one meal a week. so if i had a wedding, or went out to eat i could order pizza or something i had been craving. i just remembered to eat it in moderation (2 pieces instead of 4. and i would eat a salad with it to fill me). i would ask for a "to go" box at the beginning of my meal and i would put exactly half of my meal in the box. then i would leave the box on the table when i left, or i would give it to my husband and tell him that he'd better eat it first thing tomorrow!

Default OUSTANDING!!

Jill....that's fantastic and SO inspiring to hear!

I've been on WW too for about 12 weeks now (3 months) and I've lost 25 lbs. I have about 75 more lbs to go. WW is definitely the most sensible thing I've ever done.....and apparently it's worked just as well for you! Congratulations!

I highly endorse it as well........I tried EVERYTHING else...and I only got bigger.....up to 302 lbs. (How did THAT happen?!?) WW works because it's sensible and real.

Good for you!!!

Default Awesome

Jill,
that's terrific! I just had to buy a new pair of jeans. I was in a size 26 and now my newest pair of jeans is a size 16. I can wear XL tops, and some Larges. I am anxious about reaching my goal! Way to go!

First off, congrats. That's really great!

I have a question for the forum at large: what do you do to motivate yourself through the plateaus? I think that's my biggest issue. I get so down on myself and unmotivated that I start to slip. Any ideas?

Leigha,

I come here to the bulletin boards and do what you are doing now. I vent my feelings and I look forward to the support and understanding of other people that are going through the same thing I am. I find it really helps.

Whatever your mood swing, knowing someone relates to it, makes you feel better.

Kathy
