Hi, Glad you are better Lisa. That was a nasty virus.

Has anyone made the Roasted Veggies from the SBD book? Not the cookbook but the diet book. I made them last night and THEY ARE AWESOME. I couldn't stop! I even used less oil than it called for and I didn't have a red pepper. I did use the yellow one and everything else and it was so delicious!!

I have a QUESTION!! I hope someone can help me. My husband and I are going on a date tonight. We haven't been out together without kids since early December. I know that I"ll end up eating something not on Plan however, which would be the worst choice??

1. Outback Steakhouse: They have the world's BEST baked potato in my opinion!! It would be a hard battle not to get it. I would be eating meat and veggies with it. (also awesome salad dressing!)

2. Don Pablos: My favorite mexican place where I would eat CHIPS and salsa and a couple of flour tortillas with my Fajitas. (I don't like sour cream)

OK - Please help... which could I get away with the most?
THANK YOU!!!

Default Have a good weekend everyone

Just checking in to see how everyone is doing. I had a busy week--and a few little slips friends from out of town visiting, dinner out with the gang, and our monthly wine tasting party--back on sb plan Friday and today. Hopefully I didn't do too much damage--cause March 1st is Wed. and want to make my Feb goal.

Noticed some discussion regarding measurements. Guess on Wed it's about time I do some measuring also. Been on the scale and my imagination says "BBIIGG" on those measurements But, it's better to have the bad news down on paper so next month I will hopefully see some decrease.

Have a great weekend all.

Good Afternoon All,

Sounds like everyone is having a busy weekend. I went out with friends last night to sing Karaoke at a bar out in the middle of nowheresville. It was a good time. Stayed overnight and drove home this morning throught the snow. Had to take a nap and then off to the baby shower for my friend that is having twins, one boy and one girl. Going out to eat and to a movie tonight. Busy Busy Busy..going to need a weekend to relax after this weekend. Dinner at my mothers tomorrow with the family. I need to stop scheduling myself like this or I'll end up sick like Weezle.

Be checking in agian tomorrow, hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend.

Pink - I'm sure the damage will be minimal

Deb - enjoy your date and there are ways to work off any extra calories you eat

3Dmomma - hope you enjoy your fee time - we all need a little time to ourselves

Weezle - I'm glad your feeling better and I'm envious of your dedication and your progress with your weight lose!!! Congrats

CKB - I think you are the only one who can judge what is best as far as remaining on PH1 or not...if it's woring for you I say do what works.

Schatzi - could you stop over and cook me that supper as well??? It sounds awesome - I am going to Ruby Tuesday's Tonight

Kiko - let us know how Curious George is because I was thinking about taking my son to see it

usmchoney - a bike ride sounds like heaven to me. Last night the sky opened up and it has snowed several inches since then. Still snowing now.

Mamacita - glad your starting to feel better

Mamahulk - don't forget that even though people sometimes notice that you look thinner they don't always mention it because some do not feel it's the proper thing to say or they are not sure how you will feel about it being pointed out. Besides, I've noticed!!!!

Ms Crockett - that movie making idea is great, I need to keep it in mind

Batmanmom - I am also taking a rest today from the workout schedule to allow my body to have a healing day

Ruth - enjoy your dinner out as well

Jana - painting your house is a good way to invest that income tax money

Well, we now have 10 inches of snow! The road is finally ploughed leaving a five foot high bank at the end of my lane BUT my Plough Guy just came and cleared us out. That means I will probably be able to get the car out tomorrow morning.

I need to primp a bit - in Delta that means putting on clean jeans and a clean T-shirt - amd then will do my Nanook of the North act and go up the hill to Liz's house. I tried to persuade Hersh she was a sled dog but no go so I'll just plough through the snow wearing my Yak-Traks and lugging a bottle of wine and a cheesecake. If I'm not back by tomorrow, please send out the rescue crews.

Schatz - I'm going to keep the house the same color it is now - grayish blue with white trim. Paying for this little venture will definitely be incentive to save some money and tackle that little habit of eating out too much!

Weezle - So glad to hear you're finally feeling better!!!!!

Debbie - Have fun on your date tonight. Those are tough choices, but personally, I'd take the steak.

Okay, off to start on dinner. I'm trying the Mixed-Up Casserole tonight that I found posted in the recipes. Sounds yummmmm.

Hey ya'll - I have NOT been doing well and am bummed at my BF because we were supposed to go grab something to eat before this concert we are going to, but he already ate.. I'm probably just wanting to eat my feelings... Went and saw Brokeback mountain with my mom for her birthday and we went to a bakery where I ate more sweets than I have in 6 weeks... and i had a chocolate bar last night... I think I'm craving sweets... my TOM cycle is way off and I'm just feeling emotional, it sucks! So tomorrow I'm going to make my meal plan for the week while I'm at the Open House I'm doing and I'm going VOW to make March more like January and less like February diet wise.

Default New try

I read an articile today that said you can loose 100lb.s by being spiritual. I am going to try taht next. IT said whatever you pray to, pray as much as you can all day to help keep food out of your mouth. I tried it tonight and it worked. Now I have to keep that up. I realize I soemtimes eat just to eat or because I want to feel like I can eat whatever I can and not suffer consequences. I know I have to watch everything I pick up. Today was an ok eating day but not the best. I made a great lowfat pizza but then i ate 3 peices. I then wanted to show the kids what a smore was and they would not eat it unless I did first. Next thing I know I ate 2 of them just because I did not want to throw away food. How silly. It is not worth the guilt. Tomorrow I am going to have a better day. If anyone reads this post can you tell me, am I being too hard on myself? Or should I be this strict to get results. I am afraid I get obsessed with this dieting and the scale. I think I am just tried and rambling. Well going to bed, Hope tomorrow is another day.

Hello chickies!

I was up all night doing homework, so I wouldn't have to worry about it over the weekend. I got to bed around 5 am, but Alex let me sleep in until half past noon Such a nice kid!

Birthday party #2 is tomorrow, so I've been shopping for favors and such. It's not always easy to find good favors suitable for kids under 3, which Alex and a few of the others are. But I managed!

I still have laryngitis - every time my voice tries to come back, I strain it again. It's really hard having laryngitis when you have an active toddler getting into everything! I am soooo ready for this cold and sore throat thing to be over with!

Gotta run - I still have a lot to do before the party tomorrow, and Alex is getting into things (as usual)! Have a great weekend, chicks!

Coffee time!

Debbie - Hope you had a great evening out with the hubby! The Mixed-Up casserole was delish.

Not much going on today. Church, lunch out and then who knows. I took a vacation day tomorrow, so the best thing about today is knowing that I don't have to go to work tomorrow!

Morning Jana!!

I decided to get up early this morning in hopes of 30 minutes of quiet time on the computer with my coffee. No go- the baby is already in her crib awake. She is just babbling and "talking", so I will let her go for a few minutes. So much for a little "me" time!!

Only 3 more days of February!! How is everyone doing on their weightloss goals?? I won't make my total goal, but I do think I have lost a portion of it.

Curious George was just a precious movie. Pretty simple, but super cute. My sensitive little DD was in tears during one part when they were going to take George back to the jungle. It was very sweet- she was still pretty weepy even after the movie! The soundtrack was really good as well- we had a nice mommy/daughter date.

Church today, a quick trip to the grocery store, and then home for the day. It is actually supposed to be sunny and warm today, so hopefully we will get outside for some fresh air!! This is my last Sunday to teach the fufth graders this month, so we can go back to our leisurely Sundays with church at 11:00 until April.

Have a super day!!

Good morning, Chickies!

We have at least ten inches of snow with much more in the drifts, of course! It's absolutely beautiful out there although darn cold.

I was out to dinner up the hill at my neighbour's which was a bit of a challenge but I made it home safely last night escorted by two charming gentlemen and a wee Yorkie who could barely see over the snow. The road was ploughed but there was still loads of snow from his perspective. The "lads" have been out all night zipping around on snowmobiles - noisy things. The last one went past at six this morning.

Hershey and I are off to Church shortly and then I plan a quiet day with a bit more cellar sorting and a good long painting session this afternoon. It's 5ºF right now but I will go out and do some shovelling when it warms up a bit. Poor Hershey needs a potty trail through the drifts in the dog yard. It's hard to squat when the snow is almost over your back!

Have a super Sunday and stay warm if you are around these parts.
