Good Morning All!

Well, I finished my first day of Phase 1 yesterday. I have a questions, is sugar free cocoa mix allowed (within your daily allotment of milk, of course). Both hubby and I had a cup last night. Just curious.

Thanks Ruthxxx for the info on the picture. I think I figures it out.

We were on WW last year - I gained back all but 9#, and Joe (hubby) gained all but 12#. I got really tired of weighing, mesuring and counting points. (Since I have to do it for both of us). Anyhow we are giving SB a try. It's nice to hear of so many successes with it.

Have a great day everyone! If there is something confusin on my post, I'm trying to add a weight loss tracker! So bear with me! I am "puter challenged."

Joanne

Good Morning Chicks

Its rainy & grey in the north like Ruthie has say but we're getting SNOW this afternoon. Here we go again.

Tried very hard to stay on Phase 1 but that little piece of stollen was calling me and I lost it after 8 P.M eatting everything in site.

Threw it all out in the garbage, can't afford to gain at this point. Have to lose the last 10 pounds by the end of the year. Wish me luck.

Hugs BB

Well, I'm brandy new here, on Day 2 of P1. I had gestational diabetes with my 2nd pregnancy that was diet controlled but I had to be really rigid with what I ate to stay off insulin and not be "high risk". Guess what worked, essentially SB tight phase 2. I don't know why I've been putting it off. Its funny, I was able to do it when preg but when its for me, its not important enought or something. I know what to do, I know how much better I'll feel. That and the big old super high risk of diabetes hanging over my head. I'm a RN and I should know better. Blah blah blah. I've gained about 100 lbs over the last 10 years. Ugh. It is hard to write that. I really am at the end of my rope and so frustrated for letting this happen to me. Anyway, day 2. Just had 3 eggs and a 1/2 cup of raw broc and a big coffee. And a big cup of water. Kids are at school and here I am.

Nice to meet you all.

Day 1 of P1 went pretty well. No ooopsies. lol
No worries about getting enough water. Seeing as how I am in Gawga (for Schatzi's benefit) it doesn't get cold enough to worry about being to cold.

Tazcat-I'd be right there with you if I was employed!

Ruth- When I was in 1st grade in Toronto, I was taking french lessons. Only thing I rmbr was "Father John", and I dont even know the words in english! Do you have enough to feed all those Lords and Ladies?

Schatzi-Come down for a visit, we have sunshine today.

Leenie-Nice to meet ya!

Cottage-try drinking your water slightly under lukewarm. Its not cold, and not hot. Told Kyemom to try it. Think it worked for her.

Gryff-Morning hon!

djett-That sounds yummy! Did you post the recipe??

Barb-Poor mommy. Zander was like that about 2 weeks after we moved back home, and a cold on top it. He wouldnt eat a thing for a week after getting sick so much. It looked like he was an Ethopian child there for a while.

angelshine-thats the spirit!

Today is the appeal board meets. I need everyone's : so they will come to the conclusion I will be a heck of a student.

I will post what they said as soon as they call.

Joanne - Check the ingredients on the SF hot chocolate mix. More than likely there are hidden starches. The link in the Emergency Guide will give you a recipe that is easy to make. I use the recipe on the side of my cocoa mix and it works well. I do still occasionally use the mix but I wait until phase 2 for that.

Me - As far as weather, we have been warm and windy and dry. Sounds good, right? We've also had over 100,000 acres burned in wildfires in Texas in the last week or so. Several small towns are gone after having almost the entire town destroyed. So send some of that rain down to Texas. We need it!

Isn't it absolutely amazing. We have flooding from the rain on the west coast, wildfires in TX and OK, and snow in the northeast?
If we had snow down here, I think the cycle would be complete.....

Morning everyone!!
Day 3 of phase 1 for me.....had a terrible head ache last night, but I think it was my sinuses & not cravings.
I made salmon with spinach/tomatoes/mushrooms/Italian dressing last night - very yummy. Didn't drink enough water....grr. Today will be better.
I posted a list of mini goals for myself on the frig - hopefully it will help me stay out of the frig!
Weezle - yes it is my first time to Key West.....I've been to Orlando, but my family always like to vacation in North Myrtle Beach.....my parents found a hotel with a refrigerator, stove, sink, etc like a 1-bedroom apartment right on the ocean & pretty cheap (it's old - but yeah can't have everything) and there's a grocery store with a deli right across the street - so we always vacationed there. We didn't go last year because of my mother's passing....maybe I can talk my dad into going in Sept for my b-day?
Well The View is going to be starting....gotta get on the gazelle.
Chat with you later!!

Holy Schnikies! TONS of posts before me today, and I don't have enough time to reply to everybody! I'm on Week 2 of diet and exercise, and Day 3 of no schmokies. Still holding up fine, although DH might say I'm a tad bit cranky at times. (It's not my fault he drove me up the wall yesterday.)

Pretty bogged down at work but wanted to send a quick shout-out to everyone. Welcome to all you new-comers and people re-committing (I saw that you used my favorite sign, Schatzi.) It's cloudy and rainy here too, but at least it's not C-O-L-D out. I can handle 40 and above, even if it is rainy.

Hope you all have a fabulous OP day and for those of you who quit smoking too, I'm right there with you!

Later!

Lisa

Default Good Morning!

Good morning Chickies! Busy in here this morning. Glad everyone seems to be doing well OP. Me I need to add a little more variety in so this week my goal is to make 3 new recipes from the recipe section. I tend to eat the same things over and over and I just want to add in a few new things into the mix.

I'm trying to think ahead to my vacation with dh this month. I just realized we leave a week from tomrorow. YIKES! We're staying in a studio so we'll have a coffee pot, microwave and mini fridge but we're flying and won;t have a car so I need to pack a little cooler of some things to help me get through as OP as possible. I'll definitely bring FF 1/2 1nd 1/2 for coffee and splenda, maybe a big thing of yogurt and some string cheese. ANyone else have any good ideas? We'regoing to Dsney just the 2 of us for our 10 year anniversary I can't wait. The kids are staying with my parents for 4 nights! woo hoo! At least I know I'll be walking a ton at Disney.

Good going to all those quitting smoking too this new year! It is the best thing I ever did for myself and don't ever regret it!!!

Cooked a turkey yesterday so today I'm boiling the remains and making a yummy soup so that'll be good tonight with all this yucky rain!!

Have a great day everyone! get a nice tan on the beach and enjoy the sunshine!
