I am ready for my Wood Badge training and leave in the morning at 5 AM. Thank goodness, my tentmate Kim, will be bringing the tent. I weighed my backpack with my tent and came up with 51 pounds which is a bit too heavy. I'll have to see how much less it is without the tent.

Right now there is rain predicted tonight and into tomorrow so we may end up getting wet. It looks like the low will be in the 40's which will seem pretty cold to us compared to the way it has been lately. I'm not going to worry about my diet as I have no control over it but I'll get back on track when I get back. I probably won't be able to post until Sunday or Monday but I'll catch up when I get back.

Now I just need to finish memorizing my presentation. I have about half of it memorized but need to keep working on it.

Just a quick drive-by to say "Howdy Chicks!"

I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself today for 2 reasons:
1. My Environmental Science teacher just posted our grades to-date, and I'm at the head of the class. 100% on everything so far! Yay!

2. In spite of sitting on the fence (half OP and half off), I lost another pound! Yay again! I'm not really doing too badly, except for a wee bit here and a teensy nibble there. But for the most part, I'm eating a lot better than I ever have before in my life, and I think that's what is making the difference.

I had planned to start going for walks this week with DS in his stroller, but he's got a cold with a terrible cough. It's chilly and very breezy here in our neighborhood (right on the bay), so I really don't want to drag him around outside until he's better. I'm too swamped with homework to walk on his daycare days, so it'll just have to wait a bit.

Until next time - have a great day!

I'm so excited!! I just got my copy of the new SBD cookbook. It looks so much better than the first one. Every dish looks great whereas I had reservations about a lot of the other ones. And there are lots of P1 recipes and very few P3 recipes! I can't wait to try them out. I also got a copy of TGFCG guide. That's so helpful! Why didn't I buy it before?
