I'm back after a long hiatus. We sold our house and moved into a rental to wait for our new house to get built. It's been crazy and I've gained 15 pounds over the past month. So basically I'm starting from scratch. Starting Phase 1 today and determined to make it through!!
Hi Mamacita. I notice your byline and it looks very familiar. I was a phlebotomist for 10 years before deciding to stay at home with my kids 2 years ago.
2BFIT1~~I'm so sorry to hear you had to put Kasey down. We had to put our precious Beagle Molly down 2 weeks ago. I just picked up her ashes last week and it's been so hard on everyone. I miss her so much!!
Ginny 3 is a good start! Did you get coffee?
BeachBum ARG I hate Ants! I'm glad they're gone

Welcome FreckledFrog Scratch is always the best place to start!
UGH last nights transgressions Pizza and LF Yogurt cake have left me a craving fiend!

Caffiene is the one thing that kills my cravings

Hey Shortie~~I'm an RN, too. I work on a cardiac intervention unit.
Ginny~Where in So Cal? I'm from Oceanside but live in Georgia now.
Freckledfrog~I'm so sorry to hear about Molly I don't remember her being sick, what happened? Yesterday morning I made a cement plaque with Kasey's name, pawprint and the date. Today I placed it near the pool and transplanted 3 banana trees around it. I also put a ceramic angel next to it. I think I will keep her ashes in a pottery jar on my desk next to her picture.

Sil~She had severe hip dysplasia as well as problems with getting UTI's all the time. She couldn't hold her urine for longer than 1/2 hour at a time. Sounds like you have some really nice ways to remember Kasey. We have to do what makes us feel better and that keeps them alive. They are truley a member of our families.
Hey ladies! Well, I would do individual hellos, but there are too many to remember. LOL
Sil: I am so sorry about Kasey, at least you know the poor baby isn't suffering.
Well, I am a bit discouraged. I have to say that I am not that great about not getting on the scale every couple of days. I got on today and it looks like I gained a pound! I think it was because I messed up with the mayo. Well, it's a new week and I am going to do better. We don't have coffee, tea or soda. We eat veggies, salads, boca burgers with quacamole, and eggs. That is usually what our day consists of. We have popcicles (sugar free) for snack at night and I have a sugar free lifsaver during the day. We also have our nuts daily. I can't wait to get into phase 2! I really want some fruit!
Have a great day everyone! Keep up the good work.
Hi ho! Just got back from the cottage... didn't want to mention it online in case anyone broke into my house. No time to read posts, but I'll be in tomorrow... love ya'll...
Sil, I'm so sorry about your little dog. That is a hard choice to make, but I'm sure you did the right thing.
As for me, I spent most of the morning reapplying at Bellevue Community College (I last took classes there in 2001, so I had to reapply), registering for classes, getting information, etc etc etc. Oh, and writing big checks!
Afterwards (all together, with driving time, this took about 3 hours), we stopped for lunch (we are starting the SBD Monday at the latest, but not yet - so I won't say what we ate as it was NOT OP), picked up milk, and headed for home. We were pretty worn out by then - it's amazing how much more exhausting writing a big check is than a little one! We just crawled through the door 1-2 hours ago.
I'm now registered for Expository Writing I, British Literature: Middle Ages & Rennaissance, and Ecology and the Biosphere - all online classes, so I don't have to sacrifice time with my little son to get my degree! Yay!
