It has been an inferno here in Memphis! Our temps reach the mid 90's during the day. It's awful!! I can't even take my son out back to play because it's way too hot for him.

I had a pretty good weekend, as far as the eating goes. I did great Saturday, but yesterday I had some chicken wings. I didn't get the ones I used to get with the sweet honey hot sauce on them...I got the ones seasoned with lemon pepper. They were absolutely wonderful. Besides that, I did great. I'm lost 9 pounds the first 5 days, and none yesterday. I probably shouldn't weigh myself every day but it's soooo tempting!!

I took the weekend off from working out too...so it's back on the workout wagon today! I'm glad though...exercising makes me feel so good when I'm done. I'm a SAHM so exercising is the only "me" time I get.

I hope everyone has a terrific Monday!

A very quick drive-by...don't want to be late on my first day at work! Well it's back to the 90's today! It's already 80.
Ruth...I just hate that about the plants! I cannot understand why they would do that...but I guess because my mind does not work like that.
Soon..What is a lap band? I'm clueless! That is just rude for her to say that to someone!

I gotta get goin. Sorry all no time to post. Have a great day!

Hey everyone! I had a busy and bad weekend! I went on a wonderful float trip and stayed away from the beer, but I drank a little vodka with a few regular sodas mixed in with some diet sodas. I had chips too and white bread. We stayed in a tent and it rained some! Just about everything was wet, but we did okay. Luckily there was a dryer in a cabin near us. How was everyone else's weekend?
Ruth - Sorry to hear about those brat kids!

Ruth I am so sorry about your plants. I too hope that you can catch them and they do a community service.

I too forgot my sunscreen yesterday while working in the yard and am a tomato also. It was cloudy and cool and just didn't think about it.

For those of you swealtering in the heat and humidity I thought I would share with you my coolness. It was in the 40's this morning and I drove to work with my heater on. Very chilly here this morning. That is suppose to change by the middle of the week though. Suppose to be in the 80-90's but we don't have the humidity here that the rest of you have.

I don't remember who posted the receipe for the chocolate smoothy but I bless you. I tried it this weekend and it is oh so very good. Had one for breakfast this morning also. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

Well Monday's are always a little crazy so will talk to you chicks later.

I surprisingly did not burn at all this weekend, even with the float trip. I put on spf 15 just to be safe, and it worked great. I still got a tan, but did not burn. The girl that sits next to me at work is a tomato though! she forgot sunscreen too. I hope none of you peel!

OK ladies. Enough with the heat jokes. It is a mere 3C (38F) here today... Just when I thought we would be past the night freezing, we get it again. Not much going on at the beach here. AND there are NO sun bathers.

This past weekend was really busy. I was sorking on some sewing that I arranged to do for friends. Not quite finished, but it made good progress. Then I thought that I had better clean before the house got condemned. That was about the extent of the weekend.

DH is at home today with the plumber. We are renovating a bathroom and he decided to get a plumber in to do this one instead of doing it himself. That's one of the final areas to do on the main floor of the house. It will be nice to have it finished so that the house doesn't look like a disaster area when people visit. We should have the bathroom completely done by the end of July. Then it will be on to the final bathroom in the house. Fortunately, that bath is not is a common use area of the house, so the mess won't be so huge.

Hope everyone has a great day on the beach. Talk some more tomorrow.

I am sad to say that I fell off the beach last week. We went on vacation to the beach .............and it was very very hard to not eat junk food. I tried to stick to my eating plan but gave up after the first day. Now, I have to change my ticker. I gained 5 pounds in 5 days..........
I want to get back on my eating plan........but my cravings are out of control again.

Any advice? Thanks!

Bamie: It's a ring (adjustable) that they put around your stomach to "control" the amount of food you are able to eat...so basically you starve yourself skinny. Yes, before anyone says anything to me....I am bitter to people that do weight loss surgery to lose weight. Unless you are extremely overweight, like 500lbs or it's do or die, I think you should have to watch your diet & exercise. This friend did it out of vain and she seems to enjoy pointing out fat people that "need" the surgery. I find her to be annoying and rude. However, her hubby is the best guy you would ever meet, so that's why we stay friends with them.

Country Charm: I say try phase 1 for at least 1 day and see if the cravings go away. If they don't, stay longer, but don't try to torture yourself on Phase 1 for too long, because you don't want to drive yourself to worse eating... I found phase 1 much much harder after being in phase 2...

Good afternoon chicks!...I am in to work late today...MOndays and THursdays are my late nights..actually Tuesdays as well cause i have class ...yuk!

Anyways..the scale is sitting still at a perfect 141...and I did *splurge* and have a glass and 1/2 of wine with my parents to celebrate my new car...! ..and ahem I went home to the Cape and had some seafood...ahem friedseafood....BUT the good news is that I only ate about 1/2 and it was a small...AND i had a small diet soda..passed on icecream and had a small regular coffee with skim milk and splenda instead... I did pay for the fried food later on that night my stomach felt AWFUL i literally felt as if i was going to throw up...i hate that feeling ..so note to self....avoid that crap cause it makes you feel as if you are going to die!

Well I got up and worked out this morning for about 30 minutes...then J and I did some much needed grocery shopping...he dropped me off at work..cause its too hot to drive... ...*once i park i have to climb dragass hill* ..and i was NOT in the mood...
Ruth i am really happy that Harry is doing better..and sorry about your plants...

* and to all you chicks who are having nice cold weather right now...where do you live and when can i come visit

have a great rest of your day!!!!

Oh man! I am sooo full from lunch. I had 1/2 a huge beef & bean burrito from our cafe. I had them leave out the rice, so it is mostly P2 SBD friendly. It was yummy, but 1/2 was way too much! My belly is angry at me and hurts. It was probably too much because I had a medium sized omlette for breakfast, and it was still lingering in my belly too, but that was at 8:30am, and I had my lunch at 12:30... No dinner for me tonight! I won't make it!
