Default HEllo

HEy everyone,
MY name is Erin, 25 yrs old. I am a sahm to two lil girls. I am currently 280lbs. I was trying ww for a while, but came across sb book and started to read it. I was just wandering how much weight have u lost so far, and do u find it hard to follow. I would love to lose about 100lbs. In the book though it seems like most ppl have only lost 30 lbs. Anyone give me some advice, plus i am a carb lover.

I've lost around 70 pounds. I find South Beach really easy for me but then I love to cook. There are some wonderful recipes here. Make sure you look at the Frequently Asked Question forum and get the updated Food Lists since not all of the books have the updated lists. Welcome to the Beach!

Erin, I've lost 118 pounds to date on SBD. I've exercised and I had a lot to lose, but this plan definitely has worked for me where others (WW is one) haven't. I love the lack of cravings and the great healthy food.

You'll find great info in the FAQ, especially the Emergency guide to Phase 1 that Adia Faith compiled. Make sure you read the whole book and set yourself up for success by tossing out all off plan food and filling your house with on-plan (OP) food and snacks. Plan out your meals and figure out how you will feed your kids and SO while staying OP.

You'll do great! There is a SAHM forum here at 3FC too, and several SBDers have kids at home too.

Welcome! so far I've lost 21 pounds, but thats in only two months, so that's pretty darn good, IMO. I was guided towards South Beach by my Dr., apparently his wife lost 90 pounds following this lifestyle and he highly recommends it. I personally have NEVER found losing weight to be this easy, I'm loving it. Once the cravings diminish and you are filled with more energy then you've had, you'll love it to...seems like the weight is just melting off (no, I don't exercise other than taking care of the house and my two children ), seriously. Hi Erinlyt, I'm finishing my first week, and dare I say it??? I actually found SBD empowering and EASY to follow - and not too "painful" at all. As most of us are, I've been on other plans... WW, Atkins, Carb Addicts, They just don't work for me - on this plan, I feel satisfied, and haven't had any cravings.

Whatever healthy WOE you decide on, there's a temendous amount of support and inspiration on the 3FC site!

So,come on in , the water is fine !
