Welcome back Andrea! Good for you for standing up for your health. I'm sorry to hear about your marital problems, that is so tough. I've been there and I have to say, I felt so much better after we divorced. I lost 30 pounds immediately, without any effort. I think I was eating my pain. Not that divorce is the solution for everyone, but once you've tried absolutely everything with no change, sometimes its the only answer.

Good luck to you and I hope everything works out the way you need it to.

Hi Andrea,

This will be very quick as I have to go out, but I just read all of this thread of yours and see many similarities between us.

I'm just about to start P1 again on Monday - I'll check back here on this thread every day to see how you are getting on.

Good luck with everythng!

Artemis - I'm with you on Monday. Everyone - thanks for all the support.
Obviously, this has been a tough weekend. But after the initial pain of knowing what must happen, I've begun to contact friends and family back home and of course, they are being very supportive. I am looking forward to feeling good again.
If you haven't guessed it, DH is very insecure. And very much a black and white thinker. We can't seperate because he's so afraid that I seek comfort with someone else, which is ridciulous. But he doens't trust me (LOL) to be out of his site, so for him, divorce is the only option. I've asked for a seperation before, but he said if I left, he would divorce me, and I've made every effort to make this work, but I can't do alone. So, I'm going to leave.
And, I've kind of fallen off the SB diet since the first day that I started, so I'm going to start again tomorrow. It's easier when I'm at work. I just want to feel good about myself and get on with my life. I'm tired of walking on eggshells.
Will write more later,

You are going through a terrible time. Maybe you could start a new thread tomorow - Phase One Start - July 11 and ask others to join you. It's time to focus on YOU!

Sorry I haven't made it over to another thread yet. I'm not quite ready. Things are so busy this week. I don't even know which way I'm going. I had another math test - ick.

I am determined to start on the 18th ...

Hi Andrea, you're having a tough time, and only you can decide when the time is right to follow a diet.
Maybe ease up on yourself until things are a bit more settled -but do try not to use it as a reason to eat more than usual.

Threre are two ways of looking at this depending on your own personality. You can start the SBD and use your success to reinforce some positive feelings, or if you know this is NOT the right time, dont start, because if you're anything like me if you start and slip off, you will beat yourself up again.

Only you know yourself well enough to know which is best for you.

Some would argue that there is never a "perfect" time to start a healthy eating plan, but I think a lot of us would agree that times of particularly high stress are not the best time.

Please keep in touch with us, and jump back onto the Beach itself when you are ready.

Good luck with everything!

Thanks, Artemis. I am having a tough time right now. I don't really worry about eating, because I don't feel like eating at all. This next month is going to be really tough. I have a phone interview for a job in Oklahoma today. If everything goes well, I can actually make a plan for the next couple of months. I will keep in touch.

Thank you.
