Ruth, I love that you are going to bark at the girls. I definitely think you should do it!

Re. the technician, YIPPEEE for hot water, and go get a bath, silly girl! The dishes can SO wait!

My mom always said I should become a plumber if I wanted to make any money.

I'm sorry about the eating, hon. I would think that dealing with the emotional and practical effects of Harry's stroke would be really, really hard in so many ways. Is there a support group for stroke spouses in your area? (maybe in Ottawa?) I have to say that hearing you talk about your garden just says spring to me.
Lauren, before I forget, I saw this article online and thought of you:

LC are you getting new windows? Hopefully the guys who work on them are fun to look at...
Cottage, you are an inspiration...you're already gardening? I don't know if the ground is unfrozen yet!

Have a blast in the park!
Adia, I have SO had those days!

I'm glad you got some extra sleep...knowing you two you've been working way too hard!

Funny about dogs, isn't it? Ours will do that too...

Love the lighting idea...how romantic! Is your new place in town near your parents, or somewhere else? You'll have to PM me where you are and where your parents' place is! It sounds like the most romantic wedding ever!

I want to see the gorgeous rock and hear engagement stories...or is it in the daily from yesterday?
Ellis, enjoy the hardware store trip. I think your friend should splurge on a double mocha-latte-ccino for you in return for the patio stone lugging.

You are such a good encourager, girl!

LOL about the windows...isn't it amazing how much money a house can suck up??? Hey, do you think Ruthie's iron fist is the reason she had hot water so quickly this morning?

And no dissing support stockings. They are seriously sexy stuff,

girlie, and I should know!

What's PolyFilla? It sounds like some combo of a scientists dream and stuff from the 'hood: "Hey, man, can you score me some polyfilla?"
Twice, no embarassment, okay? Talking about our colons is all most of us did for the first two weeks of SBD!

The c word definitely is an issue. I used to metamucil my way through life, but that was causing flatulence, so now I'm a huge stool softener fan. I take one a day, but you can take up to three. The bottle says not to take them longer than two weeks, so do check with your doctor, okay? But eating lots of fibrous foods like beans and broccoli can help a lot, too. And exercise helps keep your gut moving, so that's good too.

Twice, do start your Phase 1 count from
after the PB incident, okay? You really need to do Phase 1 completely without cheats for the full benefits, during and after. Okay?
BB, do you have any cloves in the house? If so, try biting on one back there. It's supposed to help. Are you seeing the doctor soon? If not, we'll just keep nagging...get in to see the doctor, sweet girl...an abcess does not mix well with four bouncing grandkids!!!
Bamie, my prayers are with you and your sister. I hope you are doing okay!
Sweet Peggy, it's so nice to see you!!!

I'm so sorry that your mom is being so obstreperous. That has to be really frustrating! Have you been able to talk with her doctors about her moods and such? I wonder if something might help her. Glad you are watching the eating and bravo to you for going back OP. I'm sure you can find some ways to reduce cravings...I sure hope so!
Jess, it's good to see you too! I've been a bit of a mess lately (singlehandedly ate a half gallon of SF ice cream in the past two days) and am starting Phase 1 today too. We can make it through together!
Ruth, yay for baths!!!
Me:
Well, I have a humongalous (sp on purpose) headache...probably from eating all that SF stuff yesterday. I had SF ice cream from a local stand after lunch...a bunch of kiddos from our office made an ice cream run and got it for me, and knowing I was going on Phase 1 today, I figured what the heck...but I got a headache while I was eating it. Too much sugar alcohol or something.

I'm glad to be Phase 1ing it, but boy do I have cravings!!!
In the meantime, I'm weighing in around 211.5 still. Can you imagine? I think something must be wrong with my scale...or maybe ice cream calories don't count?

I have high hopes that I can meet my goal this month, and I'm freaking out that ONEderland is so close...I can almost taste it!
Saw my psychiatrist yesterday and she thinks I have Adult ADHD. Ya-wha-huh?

Does that mean I don't have to concentrate on my work today? With all that sun out there I do not want to be in my office.
Forgot to leave a recipe for DH for dinner last night, so I have no lunch today...will have to run to the grocery store and get a salad so I have some protein. Not a great way to start Phase 1!
Have a great day, chickies! Let's hope the sun starts drying out all the flooded areas without melting too much snow!
